My hair is highlighted and naturally wavy, thick, and just naturally lacks shine because of it's texture, so I'm always on the hunt for products that help with that. This duo has been wonderful, it doesn't weigh hair down but it actually moisturizes very well. My hair felt soft after shampooing, and with the added conditioner, it felt SUPER soft! Also, this has a very nice soft clean scent! You get a HUGE bottle for CHEAP! I will definitely repurchase!

I bought this product on a whim since I was out of hair conditioner. I saw the price of this which was $3.75 at Walmart for a huge 32oz salon sized one with a pump (normally it doesn't come with a pump, so I wanted this cause I have petite hands & don't want to constantly drop the bottle due to the massive size) so I was like "why not?"

I used it later on that night, & the result is: AMAZING. My hair is so ridiculously soft that I thought it was a fluke. Crossing my fingers hoping the result would be exactly the same & it was. It made my normal, yet dry, damaged straight hair so soft once again. My hair isn't frizzy anymore. Also, this conditioner isn't heavy at all so it doesn't weigh my hair down. Furthermore, the smell is just like any other shampoo, nothing special at least in my opinion.

But overall, this product is repurchase for sure.

Side note: If you're lucky, you can get a great deal on this at Target when they have that buy 2 for 1 price packaging where you get the shampoo and conditioner. c:

I love this product. I have black curly tightly coiled hair and I find this to be an amazing conditioner compared to the conditioners specifically for my hair type. I've used this for three years with no problems. I usually leave my conditioner on for an extra 5 minutes to what the bottle says. And my hair feels soft, moisturised and smelling great, I love it. I'll never switch. I then follow on with Tresemme heat protect mousse and a hair oil, before blow drying. Perfect. I recommend to anyone.

This conditioner works best if you bring out the excess of water from your hair first (with the towel) and then apply it to your damp hair, works 100% best than applying it on dripping hair. This made my hair healthy sometimes, but greasy most of them... overall it is indeed moiturizing, but there are better conditioners out there.
The consistency is really thick, quite a mess to wash from hair.

PROS: Not sure I have any pros for this except that the scent is not terrible. It's very inexpensive.

CONS: Not near enough moisture for my dry hair.

ALTERNATES: Any of the suave alternates for dry hair would be better, in my opinion. I really like the new Tresemme one for split end repair called Split Remedy, I think.

this is an AMAZING conditioner. it has a silicone ingredient in it, further down the list. Silicone ingredients are suppossed to be bad or whatever, but, I love this stuff. The big deal for me, is, even when i air dry (meaning towel-dried well, and then brushed and in a clip), it STILL will look very good. it doesnt have that sticky feeling when i am blowdrying it straight, or after it dries. it smells VERY nice, not like cheap perfume, as Pantene does. i get a bottle that is over 30 oz as opposed to the 25 oz i see at places like dollar General. it is under $3.50. this stuff is MUCH better than many salon conditioners I use. it is on par with 2 Sally's conditioners i use that are not on the cheapy end. i love it. my hair is easy to brush and comb thru. also, i dont get dandruff from it. most ppl have said to me *but conditioner goes on your ends, not near your scalp*. trust me, it kinda coats and travels, sort of like when you melt butter in a skillet. My daughter also uses it and it works quite well for her also. it's a keeper. and the big bottle lasts us both a month, and we use it 4x a week each. we dont have massive amounts of hair, but, we have a lot of hair. so, for it to last a month, a little bit goes kind of a long way. it coats the hair well, and doesnt feel slippery, or like it doesnt want to be there, if you're understanding me. buying tons more in the future.

I don't think this is quite as good as the Tresemme Smooth & Silky Conditioner, but it's still much better than most supermarket & salon crap. I would've liked a slightly 'more moisturizing' formula but there's only so much a conditioner can do right? Still, I think I found HG with their Smooth conditioner.

I have been using this conditioner for about 2 months now and I am really satisfied with the results it yield for my hair. I am Asian, with black wavy-curly frizzy-dry hair. I was using L'Oreal Paris EverSleek Shampoo and Conditioner for frizzy hair previously and the results only showed after about 6 months. As my hair grew longer, I was using more conditioner each time and L'Oreal EverSleek range was pretty expensive over here in Singapore (250ml in a tube for SGD14.90) so after reading raving reviews on TRESemme's conditioner, I decided to give it a try. At SGD14.90 for 900ml, it's a much cheaper alternative even though it isn't 100% sulphate free. However, the sulphate isn't giving me any problems after these 2 months though. I'm still using my remaining L'Oreal Eversleek shampoo along with the conditioner and the results are really satisfying. My hair is less frizzy and I have less 'fly away' strands of hair. Will consider buying TRESemme's shampoo range after my current shampoo runs out.

I love this conditioner! At first I tried my mom's
tiny 8 oz one, but loved it and bought the huge bottle,
which was only $5.00 at Target! This conditioner makes my hair SO soft,
it's super easy to use and it's very cheap. I'm not a fan of the smell but that doesn't really matter for me. My hair used to be dry, tangly and messy, but the conditioning lasts awhile and all my friends are jealous! A great buy, and I've just bought another one!

This did nothing to moisturize my hair. When I rinsed it out it felt like bush. I experimented with the shampoo and conditioner for a few weeks and my hair was so dry and full of dandruff! Usually after a blowout my hair is silk but using this my hair was just limp and not nice. Not reccommended for dry hair.

I change shampoo and conditioner often and usually it's not a problem. Other drugstore brands eg Sunsilk, Pantene work fine for my hair if not great but this one just dries out my hair like crazy. I have waist-length permed hair and the product makes my hair look and feel like grass. Didn't even want to touch my hair. After three days I changed the conditioner to my old one and my hair got better but still frizzy and limp. First bad experience with hair care products. Hate both the shampoo and conditioner. :(

I use this conditioner when i want to moisturize my hair after an hair dye. A week or so after my hair dye,i use this one. It leaves my hair super soft, shiny, thicker! I rotate with my conditioner as well. Either tresemme, herbal essence or redken.that way,my hair are healthy and soft! Love it!

Hate this. This conditioner makes my hair oily and fall out! I have thin hair as it is, I don't eed to lose any more. THe conditionner has this interesting consistancy to me. But I hate it. The shampoo isn't any better. Maybe I'll stick with pantene. I like it a whole lot better than this even if it 'does bad' to to your hair. It makes mine better.

Great on my relaxed hair for conditioner- only washes...left my hair very soft, full of body, and moisturized. After I used it, colleagues at work commented on how great my hair looked-- I had one of the best "good hair days" I've had in a very long time. The price is excellent, especially for the amount you get. Just be careful. The bottle is huge & bulky, and when hands are slippery and wet, you're prone to dropping it. I said so many bad words when that bottle hit my foot.... :(

I've only used it a few times, but I really like it so far. If my hair continues to respond well to it, I'll likely purchase again :)

I'm afro-kinky 3c...

My mom is a 3b and gave this too me complaining about how her hair began to fall.
I should have listened.
My experiences with TRESeme were good at first.
THey left my hair soft and managable for the most part.
Bu this stripped my hair and left it breaking and dry!!!
I almost cried in the shower as I was staring at my little curls infesting my hand!

NEVER AGAIN!!!! ANd threw that $4 big bottle away!!!
Economical my butt.

HORRIBLE! Wish I could give this a negative rating! Thought I liked this at first, but then cystic breakouts began appearing not only on my face, but on my neck!! Even after I removed this from my bathroom, I'm pretty sure I got some of this conditioner on my facial bar soap, and ended up clogging and breaking out my entire face instead of just near my hairline! HATE this because now I'm slowly recovering from that..switched to Dove and am loving it!

HG conditioner, but it took some trial-and-error to get the most out of it! I have tried others, but they are always a let-down because I always compare them to this!

My hair type: Asian hair (enough said? haha), thick and stick-straight. Greasy at the roots and dry at the ends. Goes down to almost my lower-back.

How I apply this conditioner: I first shampoo with whatever I decide to use that morning (I find that all shampoos work well with this conditioner). Rinse, and then squeeze the excess water out of my hair. Your hair is like a sponge--too clogged up with water, and it won't be able to absorb anything! Your hair may end up dry and hay-like at this stage, but do not fret! I separate my hair into two sides and then three sections on each. Since my hair is so thick and I have so much of it, I take about three half-pumps for each section. The conditioner simply glides through your hair and it really absorbs. It's not thick or goopy at all, and smells divine! I make sure to concentrate it on the backmost section (closest to my neck) since those are my longest layers and need the most love. I leave it in for 2-3 minutes--this crucial step makes a HUGE difference! Before I used this method, I simply put it in my hair, rinsed, and let it air-dry, and it simply did not do anything. Afterwards, I rinse it all out with cold water--this also makes a big difference in the shine and softness of your hair.

What I do after the shower: I simply wrap my hair in a turban for 10 mins while I do my makeup, and then take it out and air-dry. Since my hair is so straight, blow-drying is really not a necessity--my hair ends up a poofy mess anyway. I spritz some Aussie Hair Insurance and then apply my Macadamia Healing Oil and I'm good for the whole day. My hair has never been bouncier, softer, or shinier. I'm pleasantly surprised, because my hair doesn't even look this good when I blow-dry! This combo of products has really saved my hair.

Price: SO CHEAP! Max $6 (at places like CVS and Walgreens), even cheaper for the Salon Size (with pump!) at Walmart and Target.

Bottom line: Until I find something better (highly unlikely), I will be using this until they discontinue it (oh the horror!), and, if they do, I will be running to all the stores that sell this product and stock up.
