My favorite lipstick ever. I don't like opaque, solid lipsticks. This is shimmery and light, the look of a light tinted gloss without any stickiness. This color is fantastic.

A nice, purple-pink, warm mauve sheer colour that I like for enhancement of natural lip colour, as opposed to an opaque layer of colour. Not great on the pigmentation front, if that's what you're going for, but a flattering hint of colour appropriate for work or school etc. Nice texture, although not particularly long lasting.

I disliked this color on me personally, but I could see how it works for other people. I really don't like the grittiness of it due to the huge sparkles - something else I am not a big fan of. The texture of this lippie is nice and it is sheer despite its dark look in the tube. I would not repurchase this. For reference I am NW20 in MAC's Studio Fix Powder.

Great for an almost no lipstick look. Sometimes I layer on top of a darker shade.

Nice sheer lipstick, very pretty shade. Not really violet though, but makes your lips look nice. I like to pair it with another nude lipstick, makes your lips shine! Prefer that they reduce the glitter though, if you put too much, your lips just don't look too good with all that glitter stuck to them.

I had purchased this today for $18 Cdn + taxes, and I really like the sheerness of the product and the subtle colouring. Great for daytime/sheer wear. I have moderately fair asian skin (yellow with brownish undertones). It's a great colour for those looking for a lipstick that is cooler in tone. I definitely wanted to avoid the 'pretty pink' type of lip colour here. I also have this in Pink Beach (was a free sample) which I would not buy, and Berrylicious which is a nice colour that looks darker than it really is. Good feel (but just very slightly gritty, due to the metallic sparkles?). I love Clinique products so much!!!

I love this lippie, it wears well, and is moisturizing. I could stand for a bit less glittery, but that's fine. This is my hg lip colour for a violet make-up day.

This lipstick is super sheer and this finish is like that of a tinted lipbalm. The color in the tube looks like a shimmery violet mauve color. On the lips its a MLBB look, with barely there shimmer. Gives a polished look on the go. I'm NW35 for reference. Texture and longevity were great.

This color is a sheer purple. This is so lovely on warm or cool-toned skin, however, I think it looks better on warmer, deeper, tanner, more yellow-toned skin than pink tones. Considering the fact that I have a slightly pink-toned coloring, this does not look as good on me as i had orginally hoped. It would be lovely on warmer-toned girls though. For those of us with cooler-more-pink toned skin, I would suggest a nice sheer lavender mauve like Flirt's Chickstick lipstick in Ice Breaker or a plum like Stila's Natalie or Clinique's Shy or even a berry such as Clinique's Black Honey. For violet/purple lips, I suggest Christian Dior's Violet Spectrum. This one is nice for MMM's and GGG's, though.

This is a violet-plum shade that leans on the sheer side. It gives my pigmented lips a hint of color with a glossy look.
As with the other Colour Shine Bare Brilliance lipsticks this contains a lot of glitter, I assume to give it the brilliance look. I just find that it is too much glitter on my lips & it seems to wander to areas outside of my mouth. On the plus side, the glitter is not gritty & the lipstick gives your lips a smooth moisturized feel.
I received this in a GWP green tube...which is basically the same size as their silver tube lipsticks, just not in the fancy package.
I'd recommend trying this lipstick formulation if you are a younger gal (teens/20's) or if glitter does not bug you...otherwise, I'd say to try a different one.

This looks great with just a little bit of lipliner - sort of like a sheer pinky mauve nude lipgloss. Very pleased.

Blue eyes, blond hair, pale pink lips, medium complexion. Was looking for a lip product to toss into my day bag. One that could withstand – and that I wouldn’t mind subjecting to – accidental somersaults with a set of keys. One I could smooth on without looking. One that would look good with just about anything, give my lips moisture, color and shine, be light weight and preferably fragrance-free, and look as natural as possible. Found it in a GWP from Clinique: Colour Surge Bare Brilliance Lipstick in Waterviolet, number 32. Perfect.

I got this as part of a Clinique GWP. The packaging is a little dull in my opinion. As always with Clinique lipsticks the texture is wonderful. Feels like a lipbalm. Waterviolet is a light sheer plum color with shimmer. The staying power could be better. I do prefer my Butter Shines which I like more than this one. I think Waterviolet is a color that suits pretty much anyone. It's very neutral, everyday color.

LOVE this lipstick, stopped wearing it for about 2 years and recently found it lurking at the bottom of my make-up case while searching for my previous MLBB HG Chanel's English Rose - I cannot believe I forgot about this colour, it is fabulous, soft, with just a hint of colour. Makes you look polished and effortlessly lovely. Just a a deep mauve colour with shimmer, but so subtle at the same time that it can be worn with heavy, smoky eyes or as part of a 'natural' look. Just heavenly.

I have to say that this is a really pretty color. On my lips it's a sheer plum with golden shimmer. It's perfect for daytime wear. I like the fact that it doesn't dry out my lips. I only wish it lasted longer. Overall, a great shade.

Like below, I received this product as part of a Bonus Time promotion. I absolutely love it and would definitely buy it again. It feels like a lipbalm and has just a slight amount of color with a bit of shimmer. Waterviolet a very light sheer plum color with a warm shimmer too it. I think that is why the shade looks good on both cool-toned and warm-toned people. I have warm fair skin with golden brown hair and eyes and it still looks natural and fabulous. Very much a MLBB color. Works well as an everyday color or for offsetting a dramatic eye color. It does not have lengthy staying power, but it fades off naturally and does not dry out lips. I feels good to re-apply anyways.

I haven't worn lipstick in years -- I'm strictly a gloss girl. However, since I got this as a GWP, I tried it on for fun and was very pleasantly surprised! On my pigmented Asian lips, it goes on so sheer and smooth that it's almost like I'm wearing gloss, only minus the goopiness (maybe "balm" would be more accurate). The overall effect is "my lips but better" and with the slightest bit of shimmer (but not shine). I'm still a gloss girl in the mornings but sometimes I'll put this on instead of reaching for my gloss when it's time to reapply something on my lips. It's certainly the most non-lipstick-y lipstick I've come across. Nice product, nice colour.

I'm not one to get purple/lavender tones so I was surprised this one worked alright on me. I got it in a Bonus and wear it with my Everyday Minerals Plum Dust blush (everydayminerals.com) and it seems to complement it really well. It looks very shimmering in the tube but is more subtle on.

Package) Light green packaging-a bit too plain-could be jazzed up.
Colour) Brown pinky hue with a slight shimmer just peeking out.
Natural/neutral excellent for the office-lovely. My lips are quite pigmented and Waterviolet adds a slight understated shine. Beautiful addition to my collection. No dryness unlike other high-end lipsticks that I love.
