Hmmm...well, I was super excited to receive my Labellos since I've heard such great things. Honestly, it didn't do anything for me. Literally, absolutely nothing. Nothing good and nothing bad. I've noticed the negative reviews on here claiming that Labello makes their lips flakey over time. Not my experience. Then there are others who state it is the greatest lip balm out there. Also not my experience. There isn't much to lose at about $3 a tube on Amazon to try it, but I won't be buying them again because they weren't special to me.

My HG lip balm! I love, love, love Labello. I became addicted when I lived in France, and every time I go back, I stock up. One tube lasts me quite a while, and it is always fun to try new flavors (my favorite, though, is the original dark blue variety -- it is so moisturizing!).

This is the only lip balm I use. Long-lasting, non-sticky, super-moisturizing. Love it. Whenever I'm in Europe, I come back with tubes and tubes of Labello. I don't exactly understand what's happening with Nivea & Labello—I wish I could buy a comparable lip product at my own drugstore, but I've tried the Labello-looking Nivea products, and they're just not as good as the real thing.
I've always got a Labello close to hand, and I never want to be without it.

my sister first sent this to me while she was stationed in germany. i LOVED it so she sent it to me whenever i ran out. i can't find it anymore except for at the european market and it's like $10 there so i don't buy it anymore, but it's a pretty awesome product. if i had more money i would definitely continue to purchase this.

I know a lot of people who use this product and I used it for a long time too unfortunately. Your lips get used to labello (just like vaseline) which makes them actually more dry as before. If you use this product barely (and your lips aren't used to it) it works quite well but you shouln't wear it too oft because your lips will get used, trust me. A lipbalm where your lips don't get used to, which smells nice and actually tastes nice too (ofcourse this is personal ^^) is purol... I don't think you can buy it everywhere but it works very well for me. (:

These lip balms are quite popular where I live. I am sort of on the fence about the one that I have product, Fruity Shine in Pomegranate, it was a gift so I don't know its price, but I do not remember them being expensive.
My expectations from a lip balm are kind of high, I suppose. I like lip balms to be heavily moisturizing and I usually like to wear them under lipstick. So I don't really prefer that they be tinted or glossy. However, I have used some tinted and glossy ones that still worked rather well.
This lip balm is by far NOT the most moisturizing one that I've owned. Its moisturizing effect does not seem very lasting. In addition, I've noticed that the colour tends to bleed on my lips sometimes. I will still continue to use this product, but perhaps only around the house, if my feelings change about it in the future I will amend my review as necessary!

My one true love:) I've been using this lip balm since I was a little girl. I could never go anywhere without it. Though the last years I've been experimenting with Rosebud Salve, Vaseline, 8hour cream and other brands, I keep returning to good old faithful Labello. I just like the consistency better than anything else; could be a matter of habit though:) It is fat enough for my superdry lips, without being sticky. Skiing holidays, hot&dry holidays, two times Roaccutane and my first kisses with boys... yes, Labello has helped me through it all!
I also like the stick better than a can cos I don't get my hands dirty while applying it.
I agree with the reviewer below: I also only like the blue classic version, the others are just crap that make my lips feel even dryer.
If only they made its appearance a bit more fashionable:)

I LOVE this lip balm! But ONLY the light and dark blue tubes!!! All the colored lip balms or the ones with SPF are awful! Some people don't like the light or dark blue tubes either because it's too creamy but that's what I love about it! It gives lips a nice healthy shine without ever being sticky or leaving weird residue!
LOVE IT

I definitely do not understand the rave reviews. I tried to use this several times, since it is dirt cheap and easy to find in Europe. But it is drying like hell and is uncomfortably greasy and waxy on my lips. Loaded with synthetics, it is so drying that lips can get "used to it". There are tons of other, non-drying, natural lip balms on the market.

i hate this product. this is the first lipbalm that i've tried that was the worst. with all the hype i've been hearing, i was dying to try it out. finally bought two tubes when i went aboard for holiday. at first i liked it because it was moisturizing like any lipbalm, it was a bit on the thicker waxier side. my husband didn't like it, he said it felt waxy, not moisturizing and didn't last long and insisted on using regular chapstick. of course i didn't want to believe him because after all this got great reviews. i had 2 tubes and used them daily. overtime, i realized i was having a hard time applying lipstick because my lips were so flakey. i thought it was my lipstick(mac) or maybe its that time when my skin just naturally needs to exfoliate but it has been like this for months. when i finally finished, i switched to my old rosebud salve and immediately felt my lips were so much more moisturized and it hasn't been flaking like crazy since. everybody's skin is different but this product is definitely not worth the hype.

I heard so many great things about this product and wanted to love it. I've used the Star Fruit Labello and the Nivea version in Passion Fruit. They provide a sheer tint of color and smell nice, but didn't really moisturize my lips. I will be sticking with Nivea Kiss of Moisture in the dark blue tube and rely on lipstick for color.

This is my HG lip balm. Non-sticky (like chapstick is), glides on smooth.
Perfect!

Got this as a gift and had never heard of the brand before. I LOVE the sheer tint it gave to my lips. It was the perfect sheer color for my pale skin and equally pale lips and it made them look healthy and lively. Unfortunately, I noticed that every time I used this I got an annoying dry, tingling, burning sensation on my lips. Sadly, I had to toss this. Loved the color and the look but couldn't tolerate the formula :(

My friend got back from a business trip to the Netherlands this past weekend and brought back some random gifts. Knowing my love for lip balms, he bought a huge stash of Labello lip balms in every form and flavor. I guess Labello is to Europe what Chapstick is to the U.S. Except it is 100x better! Trust me, I know my lip balms. I love Labello Moisturizes, protects, and imparts a nice shine on my lips. I'm in love :)

I first found Labello In Germany. My friend was HOOKED on it...had tubes EVERYWHERE! I inherited a flavor she didn't like (grapefruit I think) and then I was hooked. That one tube lasted me from late Jan. to July. Then I found it was available in the states and was able to order 3 tubes and received them just in time (my old tube looked like a crayon tip).
I love the stuff...and I only have to re apply if I eat or smoke. It works better than anything else I have tried.

I've heard about Labello for years, but was too lazy and skeptical to buy it online (it isn't sold in the US). So when I was in Europe last week, I got a tube. I love it - it has kept my lips soft and moisturized, and I haven't needed to apply it nearly as often as other lip balms. What a dope I am for only buying one tube!

I used to use Labellos before I got into Carmex. I still love them a lot! The classic one will never be out for sure! I love their smells, their effects, the quality, everything about them!
