I love this for the most part .... SD Liquid Gold coast is probably one of my favorite body bronzers. That said, it doesn't achieve "perfection" in my world for a few reasons.
It does deliver a gorgeous bronzey sheen to the skin that isn't orange at all, isn't glittery or "teen-ish" by any stretch. That said, what I dislike about it is: 1) the packaging ... For products like this, I think a squeeze tube would be far more versatile. 2) It does rub off to some degree. Not as bad as others I've tried, but that in itself does leave me somewhat reluctant to use it if I'm wearing something that I don't want it to transfer to.
The good points, the color is amazing, subtle soft sheen, blends well. A few tweaks on this though by SD would make it a top notch product. Less transfer, better packaging would make this a home run for sure. All in all though, a good product overall and one that I do enjoy using when I want a little bronzey glow.

I am on the fence about this product. It gives my skin a nice tan glow, without looking orange. It rubs off on clothing, even hours after you apply it....I was at work and one leg touched the outside of my pants on the other leg........creating a giant orange spot that diddn't come out even with scrubbing (have to put them in the wash). I like that it has a tiny bit of shimmer in it as it keeps the skin looking pretty and natural. Doesn't give a deep dark tan...I am normally an NC 15 in MAC and this boosted me to maybe an NC 25 at darkest. You can't really layer more on for more color, as it would come off on everything your legs touched and then you'd have odd colored streaks. I use this over lotion and that keeps it from making my pores look oddly dark and helps it not become sticky. Overall, I like the product ok and will use what I have, but for 36$ I can find something better.

I absolutley love this. I have been using it for 2 years now. It gives you a wonderful glow, but you must rub it in good. For my legs, I mix it with a little moisturizer. I have also used it on my face for a little color, but you HAVE to mix it with moisturizer for facial use. The only thing I would cahnge it the fact that it rubs off on lighter colored clothing. Give it a try!

I LOVE this bronzer. And I disagree with the review below. Its great for the face as long as you use a little bit (dab it on cheeks/forehead etc), its also great to mix with tinted moisturizer. Gives a beautiful bronzey glow without looking makeupy. You only need a tiny bit so this big bottle lasts forever. For how much you get in the bottle, it is definatly worth the price. Its great for the body, I suggest mixing it with your daily moisturizer for the best results. I don't think it's too shimmery at all, I've used it for photo shoots and it looks beautiful. Definatly worth it!

This is the BEST body bronzer I've ever used. Definately not for the face though- the shimmer just puts emphasis on my pores; Amazing on the body though! Very dark and sexy looking. I can't live without it!!

I like this liquid brozer. I add body lotion to it and get instant results. Not dark tan legs, but a deeper shimmer to my pasty white calves. I like this better than the presciptives magic bronzer, which is way to coppery.

I use this mixed with body lotion to give my legs some color. It's fine, but nothing exceptional. The opening of the bottle is too big and the product pours out very quickly, so be careful. Nice scent, nice color, but too expensive for what you get, IMO. I can get the same results with other, less expensive products.

Got a sample of this and was not thrilled. I am a PPP, so I have to apply any bronzer very lightly and carefully and EVENLY to avoid the dreaded "fake bake".
To hard to apply without streaks - but for a deeper-toned person, I bet it'd be just fine.
Not great, not awful - just OK. Will not spend $$ for it, tho.

I recieved this in a swap from a great MUAer, this smelled nice (like frangipani) and the color was nice on me. I transferred some from the bottle into a dropper bottle so i can get the bronzer out better. I do think though, that if you live in Australia or can get MOR products, their Tahitian Glow bronzer is almost identical for like, a third of the price. . same frangipani scent too!

Why look yellow when you could look like you just got the tiniest bit sunburned at the beach?!? Since I have blue undertones in my skin I have had no luck with bronzers, which make me look jaundiced because they have a yellow/orange tone to them. That is, until I discovered Sue Devitt Liquid Gold Coast, which leaves my skin with a slight reddish glow. Very natural looking, which is what we all strive for in makeup, right?

I am a bronzer fanatic. I like the texture of this liquid bronzer, and think the smell is divine, but the color is not flattering. It's too red for pale skintones, and looks dirty on tan skin. I guess it gives you a "I was really out in the sun and am almost burnt" look, but I prefer a bronzey, sexy glow. Mixing with moisturizer definitely helps, but still doesn't transform this into a stellar product.
I much prefer MAC Gleam Coat in Copperino (mixed with VC Vanilla Lace lotion, which gives the ultimate bronze goddess glow), but unfortunately, that's been discontinued.

i have only used this stuff on my face as a bronzer or i mix a drop in my foundation for a healthy color. i cant say that the packaging sucks becuase i didnt actually buy the bottle. there was an event going on and i just got some samples (in small droplette bottles). i like the droplette bottle alot. i would say this is a good alternative for those who cannot wear powder bronzers like me, who for the life of me cannot get nars laguana to work without looking like dirt on me! but this stuff doesnt smell bad either so if you can buy it cheap, get it! it'll last from the looks of the bottle at the store!

I like this product, a lot! The shimmer is great, and smells good. It only takes a little, and spreads over skin better after moisturized. I used this after tanning over my Hawaiian Tropic oil, and it blended wonderfully. My niece put it on her skin after getting out of the pool and it streaked, and looked kind of reddish/russet colored. On my moisturized and slightly tanned skin, it looked GREAT! So if you are pale you may want to mix with lotion or get a little color before using this. If it had been a little more brown, it would be everything I expected !! UPDATE: If you can get this on evenly, straight from the bottle, it is fairly transfer resistant!

I bought this last week and returned it the next day. First of all, I actually LOVED the product because it really did give my arms/chest [where I tried it on] a nice healthy glow. My bf said it looked a little reddish but later I found out that it's supposed to give that rich russet glow. I'm a devoted fan of Nars Body Glow and bought this Sue Devitt product because it gave more color but the reason why I returned it is because once you apply it to an exposed body part [ex. arms], you have to apply everywhere skin is exposed because the color difference is noticeable--might as well have used self tanner instead. THEN I read the reviews here and realized I should've kept it because I never once thought of blending it in with moisturizer instead, so I think I may re-purchase. AND yes, I agree it should've came in a pump bottle!

Liquid Gold Coast is a wonderful bronze gel lotion with subtle shimmer and a rosy base color. I love this product! Wonderful, natural color for my fair skin. I mix it with Lubriderm lotion and it gives me a flawless glow - the shimmer in it is so subtle, only noticeable outside in the sun if you are looking for it. I wish the bottle was larger and had a pump so it wouldn't be so messy. ALso, the smell isn't too bad, but not that great either. Good thing it fades fast!

This is an awesome bronzing lotion that I mix with my foundation and moisturizer for all over my body. It gives me that perfect summer glow. Packaging isn't good- would rather it be in a pump, too much comes out when you pour it.

Thanks to advice from the lovely glowgal, I decided to try this out as an alternative to powder bronzer which I find hard to use below the neck (uneven results and time-comsuming). So far I am pleased, having used this on my face and arms, but I will update when I have used this more. I am a cool PPP, and I have found the trick to using this is to mix it with some moisturizer first and to blend very well, then leave it alone to dry. Fair-skinned people will only need a tiny drop, and it looks way too dark until it is blended in thoroughly, then it looks great. The color is believeable and has a touch of rosiness to it, so it's not yellow or orange IMO. The shimmer is no problem, hardly noticeable (haven't looked at it in the sun yet though). This makes me look like I applied one coat of self-tanner or that I got a light tan. Takes me a couple notches up from cadaver, in other words, lol. Of course, for the face, it gives no coverage, but I like having the option for casual days to skip foundation. Has a pleasant but not overpowering sexy frangipani scent. Update: bumping this up to 5 lipsticks. A drop mixed with a little foundation actually makes my face look "tan" and so much better than my normal Casper tone. Nice instant option for when I didn't remember 2 days ago to go through the whole self-tanner thing but I want instant color. As the person above notes--very dangerous packaging. I transferred some to a small squeeze bottle because I didn't feel like buying new carpet should a mishap occur.

Eh, I'm not thrilled with this. It is a liquid bronzer on the order of NARS body glow or the Benefit one. It has noticeable shimmer in it, and I would say it is definitely more bricky/orange based that the powder Gold Coast bronzer. It dries very quickly so you have to work quickly to blend it into large areas such as legs, which is what I wanted it for. I also found that it emphasized scaley drier areas of my legs. Not suitable for my face due to comedeogenic ingredients like stearic acid and isostearyls. Smells sort of frangipani-ish, but not overwhelming. Comes in a 4 oz. bottle, with a rather wide mouth. Pump would be nicer.
