I didnīt like this cleanser at all.
Iīm aware that my skin is ueber-sensitive and dehydrated, but this cleanser was promoted for dry and sensitive skin.
It is a white creamy cleanser, that smells like herbs and essential oils, which are indeed ingredients of this cleanser.
You can wash it off with water (which I did) or tissue it off.
I applies the cleanser, massaged it in and rinsed it off with water.
My skin was dry and tight and I saw dry patches on my cheeks and flaky skin on my forehead.
And I felt like the plant extracts and essential oils were not really helping my sensitive skin, but making my skin feel uncomfortable and kind of reacting.
I was disappointed, because why on earth would a cleanser for sensitive skin have irritating extracts like peppermint oil in it? I donīt feel, that this calms the skin, it rather upsets the skin.
Needless to say that I returned it and I decided that Origins was not my brand for skincare as I already tested moistuizers, that didnīt work either. Too much essential oils and plant extracts as potential skin irritants in it.
Please try to test it first, if you have sensitive skin. To be fair, this might work, if youīre not sensitive towards essential oils and plant extracts.

I like this as a makeup remover. It's a light cream that's just the right texture to adhere to the skin - without being too liquidy/milky or too heavy. I smooth some onto dry made up skin and massage it in for a minute or so. I find it has a lovely cooling sensation upon application. I then remove using a hot, damp muslin cloth - like I would with my Liz Earle or Eve Lom or any cold cream cleanser. (In fact, Liz Earle muslins are just the right balance of soft and exfoliating.) I find that this cleanser, used in this way, makes light work of even full makeup - and I'm talking mascara and lipstick, too. I've used it on longwearing mascaras (multiple coats) - though not waterproof as I never buy it - and I've experienced no lash fallout, proving that very little elbow grease is required for removal. I get no oily residue - which I think might be down to my removal method (ie repeated use of damp muslin) - and my skin is left feeling smooth and soft, not stripped or taut. All in all, a decent gentle cleanser that works well on my combination (normal cheeks, oil-prone T-zone) skin.

I always use this over the winter months and it works so well.
The best thing is that it doesn't cause any redness after rinsing it off. It is great for dry and normal skin. My skin used to be more on the dry side, but only a few days after I started using it, my skin started to get better. No more dry flakes!
I love Origins so bad, especially since the ingredients are awesome. No harsh chemicals, preservatives or sulfates.

I don't know how many tubes of this I have gone through over the last four or five years.
For my rosacea, super- sensitive, dry and mature skin this is close to a HG cleanser for me. I don't use it daily but I do use it when I have a lot of make-up and heavy duty sunscreen on. I use it only in the shower. I massage a dollop on and then just rinse off under the shower in luke warm water. I use something else for eye make-up before showering but I know that it does remove eye make-up as well. My skin never feels tight or dry or red after using this. It is a rich cleanser and I don't think it would work for a young person wih oily skin or acne. I am very sensitive and I have a lot of allergies but this cleanser has never given me a shred of a problem. I always rebuy.

I'm kinda disappointed that it didn't work out for me. It was amazing at first. It made my flaking skin smooth but it's always been too heavy for me leaving my skin really greasy and oily.
Overall it has worked well over the past winter but other than that I wouldn't use it for any other season.

This is by FAR the BEST cleanser I have EVER used! If I could point to one product which has changed my life dramatically it would be this one. I used to have combination skin with very irritating dry patches and worst of all I had random cystic acne break outs every week left with terrible scars. For years I would use cleansers for oily skin eg. tea tree oil foaming cleanser, witch hazel foaming cleanser etc.... I would get an almost tight feeling after each use and I mistakenly thought these cleansers were doing a great job..But what I didn't realize is that those type of cleansers were stripping all the natural oils from my face hence the tight feeling.
Cutting to the chase, after using this cleanser, I can hand on my heart say I have not had even ONE acne break out. AT ALL. Not even ONE pimple! I have not changed anything else in my routine except cut out all the crap cleansers and only using this one. And I have been using this for about 2 months. My skin feels beautifully soft and normal ie. no dry patches, no oiliness. My skin has never looked or felt more beautiful and luminous in my life and without a doubt I owe it to this cleanser!
How I use: Wet my face with luke warm water, squeeze about a dime-quarter size amount into my hand and gently massage all over my face and neck for about 30 seconds. I turn the tap off and then I get a large cotton pad and gently swipe away the cream off my face. (ie. I do not wash the product off my face, I wipe it off). I then wait a few minutes and apply my toner which will remove excess cleanser and any dirt/makeup from the day and then I apply some serum, if I feel like it.
People who were complaining that it does not clean your skin... I honestly think that cleansers that strip your skin can't be good for you. I am glad this is a gentle cream cleanser, you can always tone afterwards which will remove anything left over. It has worked for me anyway and I will ALWAYS repurchase!!!!!!!!!

I have one word to describe this cleanser- NASTY! i have NO idea why people are liking this one, its the worst cleanser i ever put on my face. I am new to the origins line and and was looking for a whole line of products to try, i returned the check & balances cleanser for this one (the other one didnt work out either) and what a mistake! did not take off any makeup and my dry skin felt oily and greasy and not clean at all. i only used it 2 times before giving up and returning it yet again for the third time, i instead got never a dull moment cleanser which i love and has a nice smell too. i have dry/combo skin and that one seemed to be the best for my skin type. for my dryness, i use the drink up 10 minute mask 2 times a week, and it is heavenly! i just dunno what to say about their cleansers- its a hit or miss.

The absolute best cleanser for my autumn-winter-spring skin. (In the summer I switch to a more foamy one...)
It is a great cleanser that removes everything except my waterproof mascara. At the same time it is extremely soothing. Can feel a bit oily, so I would not recommend it to oily skin types, but for normal-sensitive-dry-combination skin types, I wouldn't hesitate to! My skin can really be tricky sometimes as I can react to many products with redness or breakouts.... but never with this cleanser. These are goooood oils, I tell you! :-)

I LOVE this cleanser! I have been using it for years, I use other cleansers, but this one I use for those nights I don't feel like washing my face, then I just use this & tissue it off. Amazing takes off all makeup & leaves my skin moisturized as well, it really is a great product, and I will always repurchase.

This is a great product to remove your makeup. I put the cream on and then tissue it off. It removes all my makeup, but I still need to use another foamy cleanser afterwards to keep my skin fresh and clean. I would not recommend using this soley, for me it only serves as a makeup remover.

This is really great cleanser for dry and sensitive skin. My skin gets so dry whenever water touches it, so this is perfect. It smells delicious and leaves my skin soft. They have recently discontinued the glass jar though, which is a disappointment as now you can only buy it in the plastic tube.

This cleanser was okay. If you have mildly dry skin it might work for you. I always get dry when using a rinse off cleanser and this was no different. I did try this as a tissue off cleanser and it was very greasy and sticky. If you are going to try this I would use it as a rinse off cleanser only. Origins is a good brand and this is a very mild cleanser - it just didn't work for my crazy skin =(

My skin is usually oily, but from time to time I get really dry. I got this in the hopes that it would thoroughly cleanse my skin without stripping it too much, and may even add a bit of moisture. Instead I found it hardly removed any makeup, and left an oily film on my skin (of course when tissued off, but also when washed) that may have caused a few breakouts. For very dry skin this probably makes a nice mask, but Origins already has the Drink Up 10 Minute Mask for the same purpose.

I have sensitive, dry skin. I have tried all manners of cleansers, everything freaks my skin out, making it dry and itchy. But this cleanser is Great!
For me, there was no burning. It does take off al my make-up, I use it in the shower and rinse with water maybe that's why? And best of all it leaves my skin so silky smooth. I am very happy with it and will purchase again!
Oh and it did not break my skin out.
It just made my skin look soft an amazing.

This is like the only Origin's product I like. It's so creamy and it smells like a dream! I LUV IT!!!!!!! I rub it on my face and wipe it off to remove my make up after a performance. It dosen't really make your skin oily, it makes it feel really comfy though. If you have dry skin, try it.

I was looking to try something new and since I have never used Origins products before I thought that it would be safe to start with a cleanser. This product is just average: it didn't clean my face well and didn't last long since I had to use more amount compared to other cleansers I have tried. The scent is ok and when applied your face feels tingly. Won't buy again.

I have dry skin. So dry that most cleansers for dry skin still leave my skin tight. This doesnt. It is a smoothing milky gel that doesnt foam. I could probably get the same result with cold cream but this washes off.
I love the carrot oil smell.
ETA: I just tried removing makeup with it. I was only wearing powder and it didnt completely took it off so I am deducting a lippie or two

I'm so glad I managed to try a sample before buying this, because I've been dying to try it for forever and would have definitely shelled out the cash in a weaker moment. First, I love the texture and scent of this stuff... it couldn't be more lovely to rub on the face. However, it really, really STUNG my skin. Also, even after rubbing for a while (the stinging subsided a bit) my eye makeup was still very much in place. Finally, I rinsed and rinsed and a layer of oil remained on my skin. Not Cetaphil-oily, but rather olive-oil oily. It wouldn't rinse off and since I apply Retin-A at night and wear heavy sunscreen during the day, this residue was problematic for me. Following with another cleanser worked but I had really been hoping this was an all-in-one as marketed. I have combo-dryish-acne prone-retinized-slightly sensitive skin, and this is another cleanser that just didn't work. I wish it did, but I'll return to cleansing oil and Cetaphil cleanser for now.

Since Liquid Crystal is being discontinued, I decided to try Pure Cream. I got about a weeks supply of this to test. I have dry, sensitive skin and it burned when I applied it. It also didn't clean very well or help with dryness. I used another cleanser after this and it took off the makeup that "pure cream" didn't remove. I am really disappointed. Origins seems to be either a hit or a miss. In this case, it was a miss. The search goes on.
