I love Burt's Bees lip balm and this is that with colour - sold!
The best part about the original lip balm is the long last and the minty tingle. I have used and loved more natural balms but find they just don't last. So, when I want last, I'll hit the old fashioned kind of balm.
This is just like the original Burt's Bees yellow balm but with a warm, brownish red colour. A warm wine. Me only better. No shimmer. Definitely a near match for Clinique's Black Honey; I find this more moisturizing and of course, cheaper.
When I am going low key and still want some lip colour, this is my go to. It makes me look done without looking like I tried.
Fig is fairly inexpensive, I've paid more for less.
The only con, as previously mentioned, is the skinny little packaging. It is great b/c it fits in a uniform pocket or yoga pants unobtrusively but it is so skinny that application without a mirror is tricky. And most of my applications are without a mirror.
Will replace. May even try the other colours once my beloved Clarins ColourQuench Lip Balms are done.
Update: So many people borrowed this colour off me at a recent Navy Mess dinner that it was missing by the end of the night. So this must be a good look for the 'no make up' crowd! LOL.

Good quality product! Bit expensive for a small quantity. It wasn't that sparkly, but you don't need a lot of it. I put only about 3 dots on my lips!

I love this color. It's like Clinique's Black Honey shade but without the purple undertone. It's a sheer brownish red. I love this and wear it 75% of the time. It works well with my dark brown hair and pal olive skin. It's sophisticated and slightly edgy. This color probably looks good on everyone,
I wish it had longer staying power so I only gave it 4 lips. I also wish it didn't have the mint smell and the tube screwed down but those things are pretty minor.

I love this lip color for a natural hint of color. I wear it over clear lip balm to make sure the application is sheer because the color is a bit dark for my skin tone. Applied lightly, it's the perfect MLBB color for me. I can't speak to its staying power because I wear it over balm and feel like that makes it fade a bit faster. Love Burt's Bees, love the minty scent, great color and a great price.

Since others have commented on the formula, I'll just talk about the shade. This is a nice red-brown that's a good everyday shade for us darker-skinned ladies (I'm NC44). I like having this in my purse to swipe on whenever.

Fig is an MLBB shade for me. Love these lip shimmers from Burt's Bees. This is similar to the original lip balm, but with color. These are very moisturizing and can stand alone without lip balm underneath (but I still use one underneath because of habit). I will continue to repurchase these and I am excited to try the new shades!

This product is a great idea - moisturizing lip product + color.

However, the tube is so skinny, it's hard to locate in my purse - it would be impossible if it were not bright yellow! It would be easy to apply for people with smaller lips without making a mess. I don't have large lips but I have to make a series of several lines to get it all over my mouth. This results in it almost always looking uneven.

The color is glossy, and cinnamon stick like. It's a lot darker and intense than I was expecting. It's highly pigmented and def not sheer. Theres no shimmer in this, which I can only appreciate after trying another one (Guava) and realizing what a sparkly mess it was. It's moisturizing and has that menthol/cooling effect.

Overall it's an okay product that would be wonderful if you could find a color that works for you.

I'm a fan of Burt's Bees lip products (and some of their hand products)--my favorites include the pomegranate oil lip balm, and of course, THIS Fig lip shimmer! The shade on me is perfect MLBB. I am Asian, with an NC35-40 skin tone, and very pale lips...I literally look almost dead without any sort of lip color on! A few swipes of this immediately wakes up my entire face. It has a strong minty flavor, but not overpowering. I'm on my third tube of this, and I go through one about once every 2.5-3 months or so, and that's applying it about once every 30 minutes. This is creamy, so it doesn't stand up too well to eating and drinking, but whipping out this little yellow tube and applying some is definitely not high-maintenance! This is definitely HG for me, and at $5 +tax, the price is great, too. One thing to note about the packaging--it does NOT go back down once you twist it up! Make sure to only twist a little bit so you can get some of the color on your lips. I find that this is more expensive at CVS and Walgreens, but cheaper at Walmart and Target (seems to be the case for everything!). I love this lip shimmer, and will continue to repurchase again and again.

I love this lip shimmer, although this is more of a lip stain (most of this range have a shimmer, which I really don't like), this colour just adds a beautiful plummy shade on my lips that looks natural, I guess that's why burt bees have brought out their new range of lip tints..

I love this lip shimmer!
Especially the color fig, a nice dark reddish color that's quite sheer. I like the tingling sensation on my lips after applying it and it's very moisturising. I often use it in combination with a long lasting lipstick like Maybelline 24 Hour Super Stay for some extra color and moisture but it can be used by itself as well ofcourse. The application is quick and easy because it's a stick, very handy. Great value for money and I will probably buy it again and again.

This is what I have been looking for all along! For those of you who find Clinique's "Black Honey" Almost Lipstick a little too purple, Burt's Bees "Fig" Lip Shimmer is a warmer-toned dupe. It is a true my-lips-but-better berry shade on my brown-mauve lips and warm (light) olive skin tone. I like the slim tube even though the product does not twist down, it's slim enough to stick in my pocket and looks like a Chapstick if I reapply it in public after a meal; very discrete. If you are cool-toned you might want to check out "Rhubarb", which is a bright reddish pink that leans cool (almost purple) on my complexion -- although it is not so garish that I can't wear it -- because that will probably also work as a "lips but better" colour.

Meh... it's ok. I LOVE the lip shimmer in Merlot and, based on the cap color, I was expecting something similar but with a bit of brown in it. Nope. This stuff barely has any tint at all. It's tinted about as much as any other so-called "tinted" lip balm. You can maybe see a teeny tiny bit of color. It's a good balm though. It's moisturizing and it's inexpensive. I was just really hoping for a more saturated color. Oh, and once you twist the balm up, it won't go down again. You can't just turn the little wheel the other way and make it go down. So, that can make it ooze out over the side of the cap and mess up your bag.

This may be my favorite Burts Bees Lip Shimmer. The perfect MLBB shade for me. I'm fair with brown eyes and reddish brown hair, tend to like warmer colors, by the way.

I thought that Guava was an awful shade, but this is a really nice one. It's dark, but applies sheerly and gives your lips that beautiful just-bitten appearance. It moisturizes a heck of a lot more too, and is tingly as well (I love tingly lip products!). Perfect for a no-makeup look, I would repurchase.

Agree this is a warm berry shade which is very much mlbb on me. No shimmer in it but personally I think that is a good thing!

It makes me look fresher and brighter when I am not wearing any make up but when lined with a nude lip pencil and some eye make up it adds just enough colour, shine and definition for the evening.

It doesnt have the best staying power - but then it's more of a balm than a lip stick so can't really complain about that!

I like the minty tingle and the fact that it's natural - makes me feel a bit better about licking it off.

It actually does a good job of looking after my lips although if I am going to be outside a lot in cold weather I'll use Burts bees original lip balm instead - it's the only balm I have found that is guaranteed to stop my lips from chapping, no matter how cold or windy it is.

Lip shimmers are quite small for the price - I would say I tube lasts me about a 3/4 weeks of daily use but the pros still outweigh the cons.

I picked this up for $5 at CVS. This comes in a slim yellow tube with the color of the lip shimmer on the cap and a twister upper on the other end. This has no glitter or shimmer in it. It's a sheer, warm, earthy red color that moisturizes with a minty tingle that wears off after a few minutes. It is flavorless and scentless. It lasts well over an hour for me. This lip shimmer has no shimmer, unlike the other colors. I recommend this and I'd probably buy it again.

Very pretty shimmery reddish color, which is not bright nor dark. It would look nice on any skin tone. I like the minty flavor and scent of the balm which is just like the original lipbalm. Also, the tube is nice and slick and easy to place in a pocket. I wish this has SPF so I dont have to worry about my lips burning out in the sun. I cant wait to try the other colors out.

I love this stuff! Just right when you need a little lip color, but you don't want to go overboard. It actually stayed pretty true to the color in the tube when I applied it, and I love the tingly sensation and minty scent! You may want to try it with a little clear gloss as it tends to be rather dry, but all in all I would definetly buy it again!

I'm not sure how I feel about this one... The colour is a bit too warm for me. Looking at it I don't see much brown, but on my lips there's a lot of brown with a bit of orange even. Not quite the colour I was hoping it would be. Also I have a problem with the smell. It smells like natural ingredients, not a synthetic smell, but I just don't like it. It's in my purse, but I don't find myself reaching for it. So no, will not be buying any more of these.

Love this! I was looking for an everyday alternative to lipstick and I lucked out finding this. I love Burt's Bees lip balm anyway and this is a variation with a touch of color. Fig is my favorite so far. It goes on smooth and leaves a pretty redish shade that stays on for hours. It leaves my lips moisturized. I will be heading back to Ulta for more.
