this product it wonderful! i purchased peony and it looks so perfect on me. i have tons of other expensive glosses and lipsticks, but this looks better than most of them. plus, it is so easy to use--it's like carrying around chapstick in your pocket. i don't even have to look in a mirror as i quickly add a little bit. it feels so silky and it gives my lips (which are usually very dry) lot's of moisture. at $14 it's not dirt cheap, but it costs less than most glosses/lipsticks. plus, aveda products are much better for the environment and you! i just repurchased, and am considering a few other colors (apricot is also great)

These are truly AMAZING - I was always a lipstick girl before but these are way better. You can have a lipstick look by applying generously but the thing I love the best is by applying just a little bit and rubbing lips together - you end up with an incredible lush but natural looking stain which is truly delicious. If you try to do that with lipstick you end up with dry chapped lipsbut due to the moisturizing base, it work with these tints.
I think its the semi-satin texture which gives just enough to look pouty but not so much that you have the "I'm wearing lippie" look.
I have verbena and berry which are practically the same on my lips. OK I think berry is a touch more red but the way I wear them (muted), you can't really tell the differece. I have been trying to snaffle a couple tubes of peony for the bare-faced look but they are always sold out.
Price is expensive for a lip balm but the way I use, as a lippie, they are a bargain.
For asian girls with NC25-30 I highly reccomend you try the verbena, it is an amazing color that really lifts the look of your face.

I have this in Spice, and I used to have it in Apricot. It's great! It tastes yummy, it gives great colour and shimmer, it's moisturising and long lasting, and it has an SPF of 15.

I have these lip tints in Verbena, Copper, Apricot, Spice, Currant, and Garneta Swirl. Love them! I like to wear lip color, but I also like something sheer and natural looking, that I can apply without a mirror, but that looks "done" and provides color, as well as hydration. These tints fit the bill to a T. They are the consistency of a Chapstick, waxy, and do feel fairly hydrating, but not greasy or oily like many tinted balms. They provide enough color to be used in lieu of a lipstick (I actually threw all of my lipsticks away after buying these!), and the color lasts very well. It fades almost like a lip stain, and doesn't leave your lips feeling dry and parched. They are a tad pricey, but IMHO they are very worth it. Copper is the most metallic of all of the colors, and it can feel a tad gritty. Apricot and Spice are both very sheer warm colors, and Verbena is more of a brownish-mauvey-red that goes with darn near anything. Currant is more of a cool burgundy-cranberry color with purple tones, and Garneta Swirl (which I believe was a limited edition) is almost a cocoa color with a hint of shimmer. These also have SPF, so you really can't go wrong. Will definitely repurchase!

I have this in Apricot and its a beautiful natural colour without being overly pink. The moisturising qualities could be better but its not bad. Will buy again but probably a different shade just to see the range.

Aveda lip tint in peony is my every day gloss...it gives natural color and shine, moisturizes, and has SPF. My favorite!

I generally avoided the Lip Tints, because none of the colors were what I wanted. I wanted a natural-looking reddish or pink, MLBB color, and nothing matched, not even Berry, which turned out to have a copper-brown sheen that I hated. However, I sort of lamented it because the ingredients are incredible, stellar, and fantastic, and I love the texture. Not many lip balms out there have some of the extracts and oils that Aveda's Lip Tint has.
Recently, I went into an Aveda shop and saw a new Lip Tint, called Frosted Tulipa. It looked much more natural than the others -- the swatch on the box was a deep pink. I tried it on and decided that I really liked it.
Frosted Tulipa seems to be a frosted, shimmery pink, but not too pale that it makes you look washed out. It definitely stands out, in a subtle way. It looks like the natural color of heathy pink lips. This was pretty much what I wanted, so I bought it and I'm keeping it for good. I could do without the frost, but I'll admit it does add dimension.
Now, Aveda just needs to make a clear version of the Lip Tint, and I'd be set for life!

I have this in Peony and Apricot. (I'm fair with very dark brown hair.) I love that it's packaged in a lip balm tube, because I'm not a lipstick person at all, and this just adds to my feeling that this is a low-maintenance, weekend product. I use it when I want a touch of color. I find it very moisturizing and I love the smell. The colors are so-so; there's not a lot of depth to them.

I got this in Verbena, a sheer warm color. It's very moisturizing which I love & it's great for an un-made up look. The smell is a lttle strange but not too strong. I had this in Berry before they reformulated (when they were in a cream colored tube) & the new formula is better. This is very sheer on me which is not something I always like, but sometimes it's what I want.

I would repurchase if they made this product more moisturizing and if they repackaged in a better tube. Also, is it just mine, or is there a funky smell to it? I have this in Peony, which is a lovely YLBB shade. I love the shade and the hint of shimmer (Shimmer is always welcome here). But I will not repurchase.

HG everyday lip gloss/tint. I love the light pink color...it isn't too sheer or too bright...just perfect for my pale skin.

Just swapped for this and had to try it immediately. I've been making an effort to use suncreen, and compared to other lip products with spf (almay pure tints, Elizabeth Arden eight hour cream), this is an excellent product. I have verbena, which is a natural red with brown undertones and a bit of understated shimmer. It goes on like a sheer lipstick; no building required to get color, so I wouldn't try applying this without a mirror. I also gave the chapstick-style packaging low marks because the big blunt surface isn't so easy to use with something this pigmented--I like a well-definted lip line. My only complaint, and it's an important one, is the wear. This has a nice, moisturizing texture, and stays on without bleeding, but where does the color go? I seriously made a quick trip to the post office, glanced at the color in my car mirror and thought "Wasn't that red when I left the house?" Within a half-hour at most it had faded to a very nice dark pinkish nude shade, basically a little darker and more shimmery than my lip color. Mind you, it looked good, and I would still buy it again in different colors. Being an spf product, it's something I'm going to wear during the day anyway, when I want my makeup colors to be more subtle.

Bonus: I tried this on my cheeks and it makes a nice, natural-looking cream blush too! If it were in a bigger tube and marketed as a cheek color, I would totally buy it. And it has sunscreen too; they should really do this! The color seems to be staying truer on my cheeks than on my lips, and since it's sheer it's easy to apply, build, and blend. I love multi-purpose products! Don't try it on your eyes though; by the time you've built up any color you'll have greasy eyelids.

Really wanted to like this product because of the SPF, etc. But I can't get past the taste! It makes me want to gag. Like the color (Verbena), texture is fairly creamy, but the taste! I have a friend who wears one and loves it but I can always tell when she reapplies because I can smell it too!

The small tube is great for stashing in my purse, but don't let it fool you - this is a lot of product and worth every penny. The color I bought, Verbena, is perfect - a mauvey-plum shimmer. Love the SPF and the minty, cooling sensation on the lips. This makes a great gloss over lip color and also looks great on it's own, even applied without a mirror! Highly recommended.

I have this in Verbena and I love it! I did not at all like the old formulation of these lip tints because I found the colors to all look very odd on, however Verbena is a very flattering brownish mauve (as described below) that is the perfect easy weekend color. It's as moisturizing as a lip balm but gives me a lovely touch of color with the SPF an extra bonus (saves me that step of layering lip balm with sunscreen over or under my lipstick). The great thing about lip tint is that it's sheer enough that I can just swipe it on the way I would lip balm - no mirror required! A definite winner. The colors are different enough from one another that I think any skin tone can find one that flatters - my girlfriend bought berry and loves it as much as I love my verbena. The only thing I'm not crazy about is the strong, sweet, fruit flavor that the balm has (as opposed to the normal mint flavor of Aveda lipsticks - which I quite like). However, the fruit flavor dissipates quickly. A definite winner in my book.

I wish I'd had the presence of mind to buy more than one of these when I was in the USA this November. The best tinted SPF for lips I own, with titanium dioxide to boot! Nice creamy texture, stays on reasonably long, and the color (Verbena)is a beautiful YLBB brownish mauve. Well-priced too, at about $11. Will definitely get more of these, or if you have one up for swap, do drop me a line!

I bought this in Peony, and wow I love it. It has enough color to it to replace some of my sheer lipsticks with a little shimmer, and it has the balm-staying-power. And it has SPF 15 which is very important for me since I burn easily. I plan on repurchasing this until they discontinue it (which I hope isn't for years to come.)

Picked up the Lip Tint in Apricot at the local Aveda salon. Love this color! Just the kind of natural shade of peach I've been looking for...not too orange and not too sheer/frost like some lipsticks and glosses I've tried. It's a perfect shade of peach and nude. Great look for summer when you are on the go!

Wow, this is a million times better than it used to be! The grittiness is gone, the color distributes more evenly and the balm wears longer.

The older versions were not something I thought I'd ever purchase again, but with the reformulation, I'm very pleased and would rebuy.

I picked out the new color Verbena. It's a lovely red-brown-berry that goes on sheer to medium when layered. It wears well, into a stain and the moisture stays well after. It also has broad-spectrum SPF 15, which is a nice bonus.

I gave it a 4 because I haven't had it for very long, I will update soon, and I suspect then I will rate it even higher! =)
