Luckily, I got it as a gift from someone from Korea and the price is literally twice the price in America. $120. Even if it was bought at the originial price, I would say that it is not worth it at all.

The smell is horrible. Other rosewater products I have used and still do did not come close to smelling like this. This toner smells unpleasant and kind of like fishy. It's unfortunate. I think the bottle itself is pretty but the spray top is a little flimsy. Sometimes, it's difficult to work. Also as in terms of the hydrating properties, it gives you a cool feeling after you spray your face put it's not hydrating at all. I advise you not to get it!! I am trying really hard to use it all up.

I recommend Sisley Rosewater Toner instead. It smells much lighter and natural and Actually hydrates your face.

About my skin: I have combination skin with a very oily t-zone and am prone to breakouts and blackheads on/around my nose. However, my skin is also quite sensitive, especially since I'm currently 7 months pregnant, and sometimes fragrances and certain ingredients irritate me, so I have to be careful with what I use.

I received a small size of the Pure Rosewater toner in a skincare value set. I'd tested it before at the Chante counter and really liked it -- found it refreshing, and loved the rosewater scent, however, found the price a bit prohibitive. ($60 for a 3.4oz bottle)

I have to say that I really enjoy this. I spritz all over my face after I wash with the Rice & Geranium cleanser (which I love and have reviewed separately), and let it air dry before following with the Vital Essence serum and the Flower Harmonizing Cream. Sometimes, I will spray a bit in my hair to refresh it, too.

My skin feels dewy after spraying this on. Although it doesn't claim to have moisturizing effects per se, the Pure Rosewater does make the dry parts of my face feel comfortable.

Overall, I do like this product a lot and would not hesitate to repurchase.

Me and my mom discovered Chantecaille and bought our first purchase from that line, the Pure Rosewater Toner. We fell in love with it. But our problem was the extreme prices. They need to cut those nasty prices in half if they want business.

I received the toner as a free gift with purchase. The toner felt refreshing on my skin however I just could not take the smell of this product and had to wash it off of my face. I do use and like Chantecaille products except for this particular product because of the smell. Normally smells do not affect me but this smell was too powerful.

I like the feel of this product on my skin to set my makeup and feel refreshed...but it is not a true rose scent to me....it has almost a powdery scent to it....(i hate powdery scents but others may like it) so to me it is not a true rose scent...more powdery...so I will not buy again....might check out there other scents though...

Received a large sample of this, (1 oz) and I must say if you don't care for roses, don't even think of buying this. IMO it's so highly fragranced that the smell became nauseating,> The product also felt like ordinary toner, I didn't notice anything special about this on my skin at all. Way overpriced, I couldn't imagine buying this.

I tried to cut costs by following the advice of some MUAers and buying a $4.00 bottle of rosewater from Lebanon that I found in a spice shop. It was pleasant: I sprayed it on my face and hair numerous times a day. The fragrance was gentle and soothing at first, but then it dissipated almost immediately. I saw no other results. Then, I received a sample of this rosewater. I sprayed it on my face, and I could not help but notice the profound difference between Chantecaille's version and the common variety. This toner is heavy: it seems to be quite rich and thick (in a great way), and the fragrance is much stronger (but not overpowering at all.) It also seemed to keep my aging face dewier for most of the day. My verdict? I think that this admittedly high-end version is much more concentrated, and of a remarkably higher quality. The difference is obvious. I will buy this, especially since roses are one of mother nature's prime beauty secrets and this toner boasts almost nothing but their potent essence.

A chantecaille SA tried this on me and it's very refreshing for sure and smells nice. BUT come one people, you can get lovely rosewater spritz and toners just like this in health food stores like whole foods. Don't get me wrong, I adore chantecaille makeup, but their skincare is too overpriced since you can get the same quality elsewhere. I guess people just buy it because of the name. Sorry but I gotta pass on this!

HG. Cannot agree with some reviewers that this is overpriced and the same as drugstore toners.
This is so precious and lovely I will continue to buy this until I die.
Even my husband Mr. cleanse once-a-day in the shower with bar soap yuck kind of a non-skincare guy BEGS for me to spray it on his face after a long day.
When I shower the next day I can still smell the lovely fragrance. It is not overwhelming. I am sensitive to smells. It is delicate and wonderful.

This is my favorite rose water! I have used it to help relieve my daughters poison ivy episodes, it helps moderate baby diaper rash and it is wonderful on my face. I find it to be a wonderful toner for my sensitive skin!

I was overall very disappointed in this product. It was highly fragranced with rose smell, which I know is expected because it's rosewater, but I expected a lighter fragrance, and everytime I used it I got the beginnings of a headache. Also my rosacea did not particularly like this even though many experts rec rosewater as a natural toner for dry irritated skin. And lastly the price for this was outrageous. I ordered online since I don't have a counter in my state and didn't totally quiz the Sa about the price(I know my own fault) but was amazed they had the balls to charge nearly 60 bucks for this toner when you can go to any health food store and get some for around 20 bucks--highway robbery. Bottle is pretty but big whoop cause it's also glass so very impractical in the bathroom. Really if you're going to try Chantecaille don't start with this product.

This toner will not perform miracles on anyones skin. Its a feel-good product to soothe and calm skin and it has the aromatherapeutic scent of rose which is delightful to the senses. It's an expensive spray aimed towards people who can afford it or who are willing to spend on it. And what better way to pamper your skin with pure european rose water! Not only are you paying for the rosewater but you are def paying for the beautiful glass bottle it comes in which is to preserve the pure rosewater from any impurities and of course the high quality spray, the spray is excellent and precise. It may be dissapointing to some people but I love it!

i dont use this as a toner. i use it to refreshen up, set my makeup, and get rid of the gross smokey bar smell from my hair before i go to bed. if you read it carefully it is NOT anything like any other rosewater you can buy anywhere and like many chantecaille products it can be used for multiple things. oh and if you wonder about the glass bottle- glass acts as a natural preservative. it's another reason why it's so 'pure.'

This is a great product. The price is bit much for what it is, so I us it sparingly. The trouble with Chantecaille is that they constantly seem to be out of stock on this item so it's a bit frustrating to continue using. I don't use this as a toner, but I spray it on when I need a pick me up. It also works well when mixed with powder eyeshadow! I don't know why, but there must be some property within the water that makes a difference.

I love chantecaille products, but I can't bring myself to repurchase this product. It felt so good during my mini Chantecaille facial, and it worked fine afterwards. Still, I have tried my other less espensive rosewaters since and all are about the same. I really like the mister bottle, but you could buy a less expensive toner and put it in your own bottle.

Yes, this is lovely rosewater in an even lovelier bottle, but still, it's just rosewater. It's nice, but way too expensive for what it is. The rosewater I get from the local gourmet market for a tenth of the price smells just as nice and makes my skin feel softer. Wouldn't repurchase.

I bought this with the cleanser although in truth I already knew it was stupid... but I thought I wanted to get my regime off to a good start! It is... rose water. Feels lovely spritzed on skin, smells lovely, does not irritate. Does it "do" anything? I don't think so. The bottle is gorgeous so when I run out I will keep it. Apart from that, I will buy another rosewater toner that does not cost the eath (perhaps Aromatherapy Associates, or Ren). Basically I think Sylvia is taking the mick here...

What a ridiculous toner. If you want something as simple as a true rose hydrosol, as in the by-product from distilled rose petals and not some rose oil thrown in with water, you can purchase a bottle for much less from mountainroseherbs.com, fragrancesupplies.com, and many imported food stores.
But even then it won't have anything else worthwhile like antioxidents. I prefer Beauty Without Cruelty's toner.
