I really enjoy using this product.

Likes: Lightweight, low key fragrance, slightly fills in pores, controls my very oily skin, no stinging or reaction from my sensitive skin, dries into semi-matte finish, spreads easily, spf 38 good for everyday wear.

Dislike: Quite pricey for a 2.2 fl oz sunscreen.

AHhh I love this sunscreen!!! I have a million billion freckles, and in the summer they get so dark that I look like a dalmation. It's not cool. Thankfully I found this sunscreen and since then I have not gotten any burns or freckles horray!!! Unlike most sunscreens, this is very watery and does not feel heavy, even if you reapply it later on. I hate smelling like ss too and this has hardly any smell. I like this one more than the SPF 60 version, as it has less alcohol and is less drying. I have combo skin and this ss is the business. I use it under my foundation or alone, either way it is awesome :)

Overall good product. On application leaves a slight white cast but it sinks in after about 2 to 3 minutes. It leaves a matte finish, but i still have to put a loose powder over it to prevent my T zone from getting oily mid-afternoon. I have oily/combination skin and live in a hot and humid climate so the lightweight feeling of this sunscreen is perfect. Only problem is that its quite runny so you have to work carefully and not get drops of it all over your counter!

This is my daily face sunblock, and I have been using it for years. It is smooth, light, doesn't make me oily, and doesn't cause breakouts. Most importantly, I don't burn or tan when I use it. For my needs, this product is as close to perfect as it gets.

I tend to be frugal, so I'm a little annoyed at the price. But sometimes quality warrants the price, and that is certainly the case here. Until I find something that performs as well (and does not break out my temperamental skin), I'll continue to purchase.

I am still on the fence about this product, have to use it a little longer, but my first impressions are:
I have pretty oily T-zone and hate to have to use sunscreen ...
I thought this lotion would be thinner and lighter from what I've heard, so I was a little bit dissapointed when I first tried. It has a pleasant subtle smell, it is not thick but not too runny either, it does a leave a white cast that fades after a while.
I feel protected using it, but my main problem is that it leaves my face with that feeling of sunscreen on your face, I can visually see the pores of my nose clooged with this lotion and it is really hard to remove it at the end of the day.
I would recommend to wear it when you hit the beach or something, but for me to wear it every day, too heavy ...

Nice smell, easy application because it's quite liquid. Does leave a little white residue if you put on too much. But also sort of gives you a matt, brighter complexion. Lasts fairly long.

Great sunscreen - very light & doesn't feel sticky like most other suncreen that i've used. And the scent is much more pleasant. It goes on sheer & matte which i love, bc i already have oily skin & definitely do not need to add anymore grease to my face. I normally put on a serum or a cream on face to provide more moisture & put this sun screen on top. I've gone hiking all day, in southern california, with this sunscreen applied only once in the morning & no burns or redness afterwards, so i know the protection is pretty high. Love it - just wish the price tag could've been a bit lower.

So far this is the best sunscreen for the face I have ever used. Forget drugstore. My skin gets irritated from drugstore sunscreens, it makes my skin burn. This does not irritate me and it goes well under makeup. Very runny and easy to spread. Fantastic!

When i first bought this i really loved it however it always broke me out whenever i used it. But after trying using this again with my new skin care regimen i don't worry about breakout anymore because I now i double cleanse. I realized that since this stuff is really strong you definitely need to double cleanse your skin in order to completely remove all the sunscreen. Cleansing your face once won't remove all of it which will lead to breakout.
When i first apply this on my face it looks quiet oily, but after about three minutes it absorbs or dries on my skin leaving a matt face which is wonderful. I will repurchase

I've been using this sunscreen daily for the past 3 years and it's worth the price tag. It's very liquid and sinks into the skin quickly without leaving a greasy shine. The SPF 55 version leaves a really obvious white cast, but this lower SPF doesn't do that. It is a bit drying, so I wear over moisturizer.

Great sunscreen. It leaves a matt finish after you apply it and doesnt leave white cast on the face. It has smell to it as be aware if you dont have fragrance smell in the sunscreen. Personally I really like the smell of it and I think smell is subtle. I bought it in Sasa so the price is not that expensive. Overall I really like it and will repurchase it.

I think it is a decent sunscreen. I like the texture of it. It is watery, which is great for my normal/slightly oily skin. It doesn't feel heavy once you put it on. I am loving it. Plus, it doesn't break me out.

I love this product! I only started using sunscreen this summer (shame on me lol!) because I realized that protection/prevention really is important to healthy skin. The only thing is that I hate the smell of sunscreen and that sticky and gross feeling your skin gets after you put it on. So I did some research and decided to give this a try. The first time I put it on I thought it was kind of weird that it was so watery, but that's actually good in my opinion. It's very watery so it goes on quite easily and it feels so light. It doesn't feel sticky or like it's going to clog up and congest my pores, which I love.

It also keeps my skin feeling pretty soft and (extra) smooth. The only gripe I have is that the bottle is so small, but I've been using it for almost three months now and still have more than half of the bottle left.

I have pretty acne-prone skin, but surprisingly this didn't make me break out (yay!). So I'll definitely be repurchasing this.

I think I've finally found the best sunscreen for my skin. This Shiseido sunscreen goes on smooth, looks matte almost all day, and does not irritate my skin at all or cause breakouts. I was a bit worried at first since SD alcohol is high on the ingredient list and my skin doesn't like it much, but I experienced none of the stinging or burning that comes with applying that ingredient to my face. I'm also a bit wary of some fragrances in products, but this one has a very pleasant, almost spicy smell that I actually like (guy here, products can't smell too feminine). This sunscreen's protection from UVA and UVB rays is very good as well. I apply it to my face and neck and this year, I got very little color on the left side of my neck (where I tan the most easily). Definitely a keeper and I'll gladly continue to pay the hefty price tag to use this.

I bought the SPF 30 version in Italy in the spring on a whim because the airport threw out my old sunscreen and it sufficed at the time because the sun wasn't too strong. Usually, in the summer, I burn within 10 minutes (not an exaggeration) of being out in the sun when the UV is 7 or higher, but I recently went to the amusement park for the entire day with a UV of 9 and, after using this on my face and body, I did not burn anywhere! I applied it in the morning before heading out and I did not need to reapply all day even through swimming and sweating. I find that it dries quite matte and comfortably, though my hands feel kind of dry and uncomfortable right after I apply it. It is very difficult to remove so I can see why people might break out from using this on their faces, but this hasn't caused me to break out and I've been using this regularly on my face since the spring.

This is so pore clogging. It does prevent me from getting sunburn, but I get so many white heads every time I use this its horrendous. Ive had it for a year now, and yesterday I thought hey lest try it again, at nigt, removed it with an oil cleanser, and i had CLOGGED pores all over my face, chin, nose agh >:(

The finish is amazing, the texture amazing, the packaging is cute, but I can't tolerate anything that breaks me out like this.

For the face, this product has been troublesome and dissatisfying. I'm not sure why everyone didn't vote unanimously on this being heavy, greasy, streaky, and white-casting. It offers great waterproof protection, I must say, and has a barely there, easy to cope with scent. I've spent 3 long summer days on a hot, sunny Mediterranean beach so far, using this (on my face and chest) and I tanned without burning. (I reapplied, of course). But it's just so heavy. And it takes some effort to blend it all in and then still, it keeps streaking. Definitely leaves white, migrating residues, no doubt. Too messy for a hot beach. If you're t-zone shine prone like me, you will go home with your face looking like a hot, greasy mess...

And then on a personal level, it's breaking me out with a mild but visible, spotty rash on my cheeks and one spot under one of my eyes every time I use it. So I cannot bear to continue with it. Though I'm really loving it for my chest and I'm gonna keep it for that.

I also bought the Shiseido sun lip and eye protection and they didn't impress me either. The eye cream is too runny and the lip protection is slightly drying and way too white, causing problems if you want to put some lip color on.

I bought these to try for the first time this summer hoping they'd be lighter and less whitening than the Clarins Sun Wrinkle Control Cream for face, and less fragrant. Less fragrant, yes, but it stops at that. I definitely prefer the Clarins.

As for applying make-up over this stuff -- just forget about it. Unless you don't mind it if your eye make-up wanders off to places it shouldn't go. I've never tried it under foundation or concealer and never will because my skin would definitely be suffocated. It's fine under powder but powder is helpless over this stuff.

Last but not least, I agree with everybody else about this being so water resistant that it's hard to wash off without using a cleansing oil. That's been fine with me, as I double cleanse my face every night starting with a cleansing oil anyway. I use shower oil to wash off the product that's been on my chest -- but I cannot even imagine using this on my back -- how on Earth would anyone ever be able to wash it off effectively??

Pros:
1. Doesn't worsen my acne prone skin.
2. Leaves a matte finish. I have oily skin, so this is a plus.
3. Bottle will last at least 8 months (I use this daily).
4. Offers excellent sun protection. I noticed that my sunspots have lightened and my face remains lighter than the rest of my body. I also use Retin-A Micro, so the skin lightening can be due to this. I'm also prone to getting sunspots.

Cons:
1. Pricey - costs $37 per bottle.
2. I have to wash my face twice to remove the product, but it doesn't bother me since I have very oily skin.
3. Doesn't offer as much UVA & UVB protection as the spf 55 PA+++ version. The spf 55 was my go-to sunscreen, but Shiseido discontinued it and came out with the spf 60, which is greasy compared to the spf 55. This is still a good brand, but I had to switch to the lower spf so that I can still get the matte, non-greasy finish.

It was recommanded by the Shiseido SA a few years ago. What I like about it is that it is super light but does it's job perfectly. It is almost liquid like and does not have the greesy feeling that other sunscreens usually carries. It does have the sunscreen smell to it but it is totally barable. I applied it over my face which has some blemishes but it did not make my breakout worse. Overall, it is one of the best sunscreens that I ever used.

I used this sunscreen all summer and only had moisturizer and sunscreen on my face. I really liked it since it's a milky texture and it didn't smell like sunscreen. After I put it on, it made my skin felt like porcelain. The only thing is that it left a slight white cast after I applied it. However, it is not really noticeable. I noticed when I restarted putting foundation when I started university and that the white cast made my foundation change color and made it lighter than my skin color.

It's a great sunscreen never the less. It's may look expensive but there's a lot of product and you don't need a lot to get the protection. I didn't get burn with it... but then again I rarely get burned... Still, one of the best sunscreens I've ever tried. Definitely recommend it (if you're not applying makeup over it).

UPDATE
I've stopped using this sunscreen because when I use it under my bb cream (a tinted moisturizer), it changes the color and I realized that it left a white cast... I refound this sunscreen a year later (and it still has a long time before it expires) and I've decided to use it on my body when I went to the beach. Boy was that a big mistake... not only this sunscreen is not waterproof, meaning that the moment I went in the water, it's as if I washed off all the sunscreen I've applied previously. I also realized that it left a really remarquable white residue when my skin dried... and I know by comparing with my friends that it's not from the water... Furthermore, I realized that this dried out my skin like crazy!! So definitely do not recommend to use this on your body... a coppertone sunscreen would've been completely fine and less expensive. Overall, I won't be repurchasing it, nor will I be reusing it. =( I now use the sunscreen from Kiehl's (everyday for a year now) and this sunscreen does not leave a white cast, nor does it dries out my skin oily combination skin.
