I have been using the shampoo and conditioner for about a month now and my brown hair is glowing. I would not even consider coloring it now because it is so naturally rich brown and highlighted. I love the way this smells and it doesn't weigh my hair down. People have asked me who colors my hair but I haven't put a drop of dye in my hair in over 9 months, nor do I have any desire to. The only thing that is kind of a drag with this is the fact that the conditioner only comes in a small tube and it is not your typical conditioner. It is moisturizing but you need to really work it through your hair. I usually just spread this over my roots and the top of my head and then use Herbal Essences Long Term Relationship on my ends. I have found that this is a good way to get the color deposit benefits but also have strong healthy hair that I can grow longer without frequent trims.

I'm such a fan of the Clove Conditionner and will use nothing else. I really wanted to love this. But I don't like it one bit. (I also hate to be the only negative review here). I couldn't even get it to lather!! It rinsed out really badly and irritated my scalp. I threw it away as far as I could. What a shame.

i like this shampoo, it is good, but not the best, but the reason
why i like it is because i have to color my hair or otherwise my hair
will be all white, but, it does seem to brighten my brown hair and
not dull like other shampoos promise, i suggest this one as a
nice pick me up for your hair.

Had gotten sick of having bright red hair and had a temporary Aveda colour put in to go mid-brown. In fact ended up much darker than that but anyway... I was encouraged to try this by my stylist to try and prolong the new colour. While I love the scent, and REALLY wanted to love the shampoo, this did NOTHING for me at all. Colour still faded really fast plus it dried my hair out SO much :( I won't repurchase (anyway I want to go red again LOL!)

The first I sniffed this product I was salivating like a Paulovian dog. I couldn't remember what it was bringing all these amazing sensations so I bought a bottle of this ipso facto. It was after almost a week using it and inhaling its sweets vapours when it just pop into my head: a very popular cherry lollipop in Spain that I grew up with. So that was it uh.
But there is more. Not long ago I felt in love with the cult famous POTL perfume and guess what. Yes. It smells quite similar to this. Cherries and marzipan. B E A U T I F U L. I am in love with this smell and I cannot do anything about it. As a shampoo is like any average aveda stuff, little bit drying because of the sulfoccinate but at least they use the real essential oils to fragrance the stuff. The conditioner doesn’t smell as nice and it is a total mess. BEWARE it does stain the skin if you don’t take it of quickly and is full of synthetic colours.

I have used this as my everyday shampoo for more than a year. I started using it when I started growing out my highlights. It adds just a little color. It does help to even out my color. I have fine straight hair. It seems gentle and doesn't dry out my hair or cause any build up.

Love! I have lots of long straight brown hair, unfortunately the ends of my hair are lighter than the roots. I cycle this conditioner with the Black Malva conditioner (a black-ish color) to even things up. Yes I hate how it gets all over the tub, but since no one is wondering about my tub when they're gazing at my super shiny dark brown hair, I really couldn't care less. ;-) So moisturizing! Makes my hair color rich looking, soft, and shiny always. (P.S. The shampoo doesn't seem to add any color, and it smells like cough syrup which I sometimes like, it is an okay shampoo... the conditioner works just fine all by itself, besides I choose to only add the conditioning color to the ends, because my roots are dark enough).

The Clove shampoo is actually relatively mild compared to Shampure, and doesn't do much to color hair (unlike the Chamomile and Madder Root shampoos). It smells wonderful, though. The Clove conditioner is like dark brown paint, and is best mixed 50/50 with Shampure (or another) conditioner, because it's more for coloring hair than conditioning it.

Oh. My. Gosh!!!! As a former drugstore shampoo buyer, I must say I am struck mute and dumb at what wonders salon products really are. Who knew what awesome brands like Aveda actually worked like this? AMAZING! My hair is soft, detangled, and (not surprisingly), shiny and lustrous! This is HG material, people. I always thought that drugstore and salon brands were the same, but I will never, ever go back to buying shampoo at the grocery store from now on. Smells good and the price is really not that bad compared to how glorious this works. Definitely a "Buy and Keep Buying Until Death" product.

This is my staple shampoo. It leaves my hair clean and shiny and smells great. I like to keep things as simple and natual as possible and don't like product building up on my hair. I don't color my hair or do much of anything to damage it. My hair is thick and wavy.
I don't use the conditioner however, since a lot of Aveda conditioners cause my back to break out.

Yes, it smells fantastic, but it is just too drying. I have brown hair and I bought it to discourage the coppery color my hair is prone to. Oddly, I went to my salon today and my stylist noticed that my hair had lightened (not in a good way), so if you are brunette, and happy that way, beware.

I bought this to help maintain my lowlights, and I can't say that I noticed any difference. Maybe whatever color it was depositing was identical to my hair color, but I couldn't see it. It's a bit messy, too. Smells nice, though.

Smells really good. Noticed a tiny bit of color depth improvement. But this made my hair really tangled. Thumbs down for me.

I thought the clove shampoo would work great on my honey brown highlighted hair. It didn't clean very well, had to lather up twice. Not a lot of body, my hair went a bit limp after blowdrying. Would probably work better for someone with thicker hair. Would not repurchase.

In it's natural state my hair is a very uninteresting shade of boringest brown. With Clove it acquires interesting depth and tones. Love the colour, love the smell, love the condition of my hair.

Again, I alternate between dozens of kinds of shampoos and conditioners, but always have the Clove Shampoo on hand. It is my all time favorite. I love the scent and the fact that it gets my hair clean without weighing it down. Always will be a favorite of mine!
Haven't tried the Clove conditioner, but it is on my To Get List.

This is great stuff. It smells wonderful (unlike ArTec's color depositing shampoos) and leaves my hair very clean and with lots of body. It doesn't seem to deposit a lot of color, but I do like it as a regular shampoo for my highlighted hair.

I have the conditioner from this category, and I use it to extend the red tones in my hair when I color it auburn. If my hair is dark reddish blonde, I also use it to extend the time when I really should color again and it helps disguise unsightly roots. The scent of this conditioner is quite appealing to me...very earthy like freshly upturned soil. Some may not like it though! Also, the product should be renamed to "Color Enhancing Conditioner & Hand/Tub/Tile Stain in One". LOL! Better bust out your Clorox Clean-up after this one, and be prepared for unsightly nails for a day.

The shampoo set me back $7.50 and the conditioner was $16 which isn't bad compared to other salon products. My naturally black hair had been hi-lighted to no end and on a whim I decided I just didn't want to do that anymore. I discovered these products and they've darkened my hair so much that I've got no noticable roots while my hi-lights grow out. Both products have a nice botanical scent but beware...the conditioner is un-Godly messy. It's runny and thin and no matter how hard I try it still gets all over my tub, shower walls, and shower curtain liner. The conditioner claims to be ash toned which scared me since ash washes out my fair skin but it actually makes my hair a deep reddish brown. It goes on very even as long as you comb it through and the longer you leave it in the darker the results. It leaves my hair shiney and soft but terax crema is still my conditioner of choice. I'll use this until my hi-lights grow out all the way! =)
I'm editing this on Feb 1st and taking away a lipstick...about a week after writing this review I'm seeing that this (even though it says ASH tones!) is making my hair a gross coppery red!!!
