This is ok. I air dry my hair and I like how this defines my waves without stickiness or any white residue. I have tried this when blow drying with just "meh" results. I actually like this better when I air dry. Not bad for a ds mousse. It smells good too.

I actually like this product. I have fine, color-treated hair that reaches to my shoulders. This gives me volume and it really gives me great hold. Most of the volumizing mousses I have used do not give me any hold but this one does. I can even use a round brush to get a flip when I dry my hair where most of the time I have to use a heat-styling brush for that. It does make my hair feel a little dry though. I just use a 1/2 squirt extra of my serum to make it softer. But I'll buy again because of the hold.

I use this on my curly hair and I love it. Gives me very defined curls... no crunchiness.

XXL Volume? Really? You would think by the label it would make your hair HUGE! But... no, nothing. If anything, it just made my hair feel dry with a bunch of goop in it. IDK.. maybe I didn't use the right amount or distribute it the right way... but the few times that I have used it I was not too happy with it and just ended up with crazy frizzy hair.

ok, for volume I don't think it did much for my poker straight baby fine hair. My hair was still pretty flat. But what did it do? It made me feel like I had a TON of hair. It was more like a thickener. even my hair stylist remarked on it when I went in to see her. And it does have really nice hold. But as for volume where I wanted it, on the crown, not so much. Still I loved it as a thickener. So it rocked at something other than volumizing, I can't punish it for really. So one star off for a bad name I guess.

Eh. No volume, no hold- just nothing.

It smells okay, and the packaging is fine, but this doesn't give me any measurable hold or volume. Not very impressed.

I really put a lot of hope into this product, but yet again, it's just okay! I have thick, fine textured hair that needs a lot of volume! Although this gave me some volume that lasted quite a bit of time, my hair really feels coated! Still on the hunt for the perfect styling product!

I love Garnier shampoo and conditioner, so I expected myself to like this product. My hair is baby fine, but I have tons of it. So normally I don't really have a volume problem since I have so much hair. But I wanted to try this anyway to see what it can do to my hair.
This left my hair looking almost static-y, not exactly the Bridget Bardot look I was hoping for. And it left my ends looking dry. It's not a good look on long hair. Before, I have silky shiny hair. After, I look like I desperately need a trim.
And don't even try to comb it out. I tried, and it didn't work.
Thankfully, this washes out quite easily. I've experienced minimal residue from this. Hence the 2 lippies.
Overall, a disappointing product. Why should shine and volume be mutually exclusive in terms of haircare?

While I love many of Garnier's styling products, I did not like this one at all. Made my hair dry and dull. Would not repurchase.

Interesting reviews.. a lot girls at the hair board love this (that's why I bought it!! :-) ) and I'm glad I listened! My hair is fine but dense and curly It has lots of uneven curls.. with more curlier curls underneath and more waves and 'pretty curls' at the top.. I struggle for even curls and volume WITHOUT heat.. and crunch!!

I was impressed how my curls seem to have a lot more volume when I use this. Interestingly enough I didn't think it added much volume at first.. but when my curls dried fully I DEFINITELY noticed a difference. No crunch w/ this either.. and it made my hair remain really soft. The applicator is a little hard to work, but that's my only gripe! (and the fact that there's a little frizz- but it makes my hair so bouncy and full that this frizz honestly doesn't bother me!)

I'd purchase again! :-)

Just what is this supposed to do? Because for me,all it did was make my hair flat and the ends look dry (they aren't). Glad I only paid 2 bucks for this.
I have fine hair but a lot of it, collarbone length,and color treated. I blow dried upside down,the whole ninie years, and nada. Plus, it comes out of the nozzle with a bit of difficulty.
Back to Redken GUTS!

This product is horrible! I bought this along with the root booster and it weighed my hair down and made it look very dry. Yuck! I used it in the morning and had a terrible hair day. I gave it to my mother to try (she has short, fine, very limp hair) and is did not give her any volume at all, just weighed it down and made her hair look stringy. BIG waste of money, I will be returning these products this week.

I have short, fine hair and was hoping for this to help add lift in the back, but this product did absolutely nothing for me. I dried my hair upside down and with a large brush drying/lifting at the roots, but this mousse did nothing to help add volume and my hair just fell back flat after it was dry. It didn't even feel like I had used anything in my hair at all. Any mousse or volumizing product I've used in the past have been better than this one. This was just a complete waste.

This product did NOTHING for me, and I am shocked. I have long, very FINE hair. Almost anything I put in it volumizes it. This did nothing, it made my hair 'rough' like I can see little hairs sticking out - but it did nothing. I usually use the Aussie spray in volumizer, so I am not used to something expensive, high end. But this did not work for me. Because it makes my hair 'rough' I don't even want to use it anymore. blech.

I got this mousse while on vacation in London this past summer and adored it! It gives lots of lasting, non-sticky lift to my long, straight hair when I blow dry with it (the same effect as Big Sexy Hair mousse without the price). However, when I got back to the US, I bemoaned the fact that I couldn't find it anywhere, until yesterday, when I walked into Walgreens I saw that we finally have it here!!! The only con is that the nozzle can pop off easily, but that's not enough to deter me from buying this great product.

This product really delivers on its promises of volume, body and strong hold. The first time I used it, I dried my long straight hair upside-down, expecting just a little root lift. Instead it added about 3 inches (seriously!) to my height. Just a little final smoothing and I had a great 80's-style big hair look. And the best thing is that it's not sticky or crunchy - you can even run your hands through your hair straight after using it. After my first try, I now use just a golf-ball sized amount on the roots, and lift with my fingers while drying. This gives lift and hold that lasts a couple of days. Oh, and it doesn't flake or itch either. A distinct improvement on the older-style mousses.
