Yup, this smells like black pepper. I like it. If it lasted for more than five minutes I would repurchase. Alas, it dosn't even come close. Five lippies for accuracy, minus two for staying power, plus one because it's a fun novelty and if you like the scent of black pepper you should try it.

Interesting idea, and I do love a peppery note in perfumes -- this does smell just like black pepper, but on me it disappears within about 5 minutes to nothing. Still, I give it kudos for existing, as it's certainly an unexpected scent.

i absolutely love the scent of black pepper. ive been hunting for a fragrance with pepper notes that were true, or at least prominent and pleasant. ive settled for pink peppercorn in the past, but its just not the same. pink peppercorn isnt actually a peppercorn, but i digress.

if i had to pick the top 5 demeters that smell exactly like their names, this would easily be in the top five. it smells *exactly* like freshly ground black pepper. its spicy, pungent and true, and i love it. it would be perfect to layer with other scents. since i love it, of course the staying power isnt impressive.

3 lippies just for them actually making this scent- and the accuracy! this is JUST like sniffing pepper! my nose wanted to sneeze, but my brain knew it was just perfume. i put this on before my run, and i ran like hell. aromatheraputic perhaps? energising? perhaps. it is cool for being itself- but in classic demeter fashion, i couldnt smell it before i even got out the door.

I love this scent. Just like freshly ground black pepper, but with just a hint of something sweet behind it. Tickles the nose just a bit. The smell is familiar to everyone, but unexpected on a person.
I know others have issues with Demeter's lasting power, but I don't find this to be an issue. I can apply one at 8:30 and still smell it (if I put my nose right on my wrist) at 5:00. It helps if you spray a little on your hair.
