I have always had very sparse brows. MAC Fling was my holy grail brow product. The thing is, MAC Fling is insanely expensive for the tiny bit of product and I was going through them like water! Always on the lookout for an alternative, I tried this one. It gets 5/5 just for being the perfect shade of neutral taupe, applies smoothly without skipping, tugging or sticking to brow hair and plucking my already sparse brows. I don't get the shiny brow effect because I always set it with translucent powder and it lasts until I am ready to remove it. If it were an automatic, it would be perfect! It still deserves 5 lippies for being MAC Fling dupe at a mere fraction of the cost. I paid mine $1.99 on sale!
UPDATE: December 6, 2012: Blonde is more neutral than MAC Fling which is very cool toned. However I am still loving it. I use it daily and it appears to be wearing down at a rate of one pencil/2 months. Lasting twice as long as Fling at a mere fraction of the cost of Fling. I ordered a half dozen when they were $1.89 in the brochure last campaign. HG

Great color for my NW15/20 skin tone. I usually buy MAC fling but this is pretty much the same color (and one tenth of the price!). I am sharpening it all the time so it gets used up quickly.
Love it!

Absolutely love MAC's Eye Brows pencil in both Lingering and Fling to fill in my sparse brows. Currently using Fling as it's a great match to my new blonde hair do, but I'm always keen for trying new items, especially when the price is right. I saw the good reviews for Avon's Ultra Luxery Brow liner and thought with the price tag of less than $5 (compared to MAC at $18) it seemed worthy of trying.
I purchased the shade Blonde and quite impressed with the colour being a medium ashy taupe with no red undertone, and the fantastic pigmentation. Applies easily, but I didn't like that it had a slight waxy texture that seemed to smear and migrate as the day progressed and the formula of this pencil is quite soft and I feel like I'm always sharpening it. What really bothered me was with flash photography my brows looked like they were glistening and super shiny. Really weird and I think it might be the waxyness of this product?? Needless to say I'll only use it when I know I won't be photographed and won't repurchase.

I love this brow pencil! I have it in black, and it's perfect. Easy to apply and stays on all day. Avon has sales so often so I get it when it goes on sale for $1.99. can't beat that!

First off, I want to say I have this color in Black, I'm reviewing on the blond since they don't have a listing of the black one. I don't use this for my brow, I use it for my waterline/upper lid. I have to say, I dislike this. On the waterline, I say it lasts maybe an hour, before it begins to bleed, and smudge. On the top lid, it's even worse, it lasts all day, but it smudges like CRAZY and by the end of a 9+ hour day, I literally look like a mad woman because it smudges all up on the crease. Ughhh. I like to keep this in my bag, if I want to just pop something in my waterline. But I really wouldn't recommend this due to smudging.

Several weeks ago I was telling my cousin that I wasn't able to find any brow shadows or pencils that would look good on me. She decided to lend me her pencil (Avon-blonde color) and it looks great. My hair is a dark brown and my brows are dark as well. But using this pencil makes my brows look natural with no fakeness. It fills in the missing hairs on my brows. I have no complains just many thank yous' to Avon.

I didn't use blond, I used Brown. It went on easily enough and the color was right, but it smeared. :?( No staying power.

This is a pretty standard wax brow pencil, which must be sharpened. The color is a nice taupe blonde, and it wears well. This pencil goes for $6, but can usually be found for under $2. One pencil lasts me about 4 months, because it is softer and takes more product to give the desired effect than my favorite brow pencil (Merle Norman Definitive Brow Pencil in Taupe). However, I would repurchase again just to have a backup brow pencil in my traincase.

I just started using a brow pencil and this is a keeper. It isnt to dark and fits my blonde brows quite nicely. The price is good for this and I will continue to buy as it does what I think a brow pencil should do and it lasts a long time.

Absolutely perfect, and dirt cheap to boot! Great shade for blonde to light brown hair types. Easy application, a nice ash shade, what's not to love? Plan to stock up at these prices.

I LOVE this brow pencil. I get this in blonde (the lighest shade) and my brows are same color as my hair, a dark ash blonde. It suits my brows perfectly. I have really asymetrical brows, and have to pluck one thinner than the other. I then use this pencil to fill in sparse spots and to even out the shape, and ta-da, I have professional looking brows!! Plus it lasts all day and keeps my brows in shape. I will only be using this pencil from now on. The particular one I have now I found at the flea market for about $2. I've had it for probably six months now and using it everyday, it is about half gone. Awesome product, and I usually dislike Avon products.

I love, love, LOVE this pencil. I have medium brown hair and this gives my eyebrows very subtle color. It does the job without looking obvious. I had been using powder for years because it looked more natural then pencil until I found this. It's easier/faster then powder and still looks natural.

MAC Fling is a better color (more subtle) for my thin dark blonde/ash brown brows, but this is much cheaper and so much better for blondes than drugstore "blonde" brow pencils and even Kevyn Aucoin (sp).
Too bad the automatic sharpening version of this color isn't as good on me.

In my endless search for that perfect ash blonde brow pencil, I have found two high-end (Chanel Brow Definer and Anastasia) and one inexpensive (Ulta brand) that are just the right color and texture to make my sparse, brunette but graying brows look natural against my dark ash blonde hair and cool-toned complexion. I've never had any luck with drugstore pencils, but I can now add another very affordable one to the A-list that is every bit as good as the higher-end products. Color-wise, these pencils are all very similar: light grayish taupe with no yellow or orange tones, but not a straight drab gray. What makes the Avon pencil stand out from the others (besides price) is the texture, as well as a slight sheen that adds a very subtle glistening effect, which turns out to be very natural looking. I wouldn't have known that without trying it since I just assumed brow color was supposed to be totally matte. Also, I have a lot of patchy areas that need to be filled in and pencils often go on unevenly over skin, especially the harder ones that require more passes. I have found that the super thin twist-up types (like MAC Fling) work best for sparse patchy brows like mine, but the Avon pencil glides on very smoothly without crumbling, and blends evenly using short strokes. If I put too much on, I can use a stiff brush to soften the look without removing too much color. (In fact, I've changed the cap out for one of those with a small brush on the end for that purpose.) It's a shorter pencil because there is no spoolie brush on the end, but it has the same amount of product as the more expensive ones. This is definitely a winner for me, and at $1.99 (on sale) my inner frugal self is very happy!

Like the previous reviewer, I have very pale brows, and I've been on a search for the most natural looking brow definer since my teens.
I got this for $1.99USD, and didn't have much expectation for it, as it's nearly impossible to find a true "blonde" brow shade.
I have to say though, it was worth every little penny. It's creamy but not too soft, stays well, works great over my Lumene or UDPP. (Hint for fair browed gals, before putting your brow color on, use an e/s base, it will help the color stay just like on the lids.)
I will definitely repurchase, a product that does what it should for 2 bucks......why wouldn't I?

I'm Naturally extremely light blonde, and people would always ask me " did you shave//Wax your eyebrows? Seriously where are they?" I'm like, no i'm just blonde, believe me they're there... it bothered me for years, i'm not self concious or anything, it would be nice to have eyebrows. I bought this product with LOW expectations, it went on nice, it didn't look like I took a crayola to my brows, it was natural looking but not to bold. I realy like it.

So far, this is my HG brow product. I have medium brown hair (except when I color it darker in the winter months), and it seems to go flawlessly with both. It's a soft, natural color that doesn't look too fakey or drawn on purposefully. I use it to fill in my natural brows and give me that soft, romantic brow look that is currently popular.
It's not too waxy, doesn't smear easily, and isn't too powdery. It goes on smoothly and doesn't seem to disappear like many brow products I have used. Can't beat the price, either!

I cannot rave enough about this brow liner. It is a must have for me. It wears so well and provides my brows with a natural look. Affordable and readily available on Ebay or through the avon site. I guess I feel naked without it. I am really impressed with a lot of Avon products lately..not normally a user in the past but this is HG for my brows.

I love this brow pencil. It goes on very smoothly, and the pencil is not too hard (like Maybelline, which make it difficult to color with) or too soft (like L'Oreal, which would was difficult to sharpen). I bought a sharpener from Avon at the same time and am very happy with it. The blond color is just right for my ashblond coloring.
