Not very impressed with this but its not horrible. I have combo skin but more on the dry side, it doesn't dry out my skin or irritate it which is good but i do not feel my face is "clean" afterwards. After using in shower, i always use eye-make remover and toner to get skin cleared of make up and dirt. Its a nice traveling cleanser though and feels nice to put on and good to use with clarisonic because it is creamy.

It's a good product for popping into your bag if you are travelling. However, it doesn't do a very good job of removing *heavy* makeup or grime. Multiple wipes with a face cloth will prove that.
.
I can get better results with using olive oil, warm washcloth, and a good cleanser after. For convenience and not drying out or irritating my skin, i rate this a 3. Doesn't irritate my eyes, either, when i use it to take off eye makeup--and they are super sensitive. However, it is expensive $$$ for what is a mediocre product (minus one point), and you need to use it multiple times to get a decent makeup removal, so I can see myself getting through this tube very fast (minus another point).

I got this as part of a GWP. I actually chose this over the other set because of this cleanser and the fact that it was supposed to be a gentle squalane & glycerine based non foaming cleanser with some decent ingredients like caffeine and retinyl. I have combo skin but most sulfate based foaming cleansers dry my skin out and just make my t-zone pump out even more oil. This works great as a cleanser and leaves my skin soft and well balanced. Unfortunately EL ruined a good thing with the ridiculously strong scent they put into this product. I don't think I'm overly sensitive but this reminds me of a cheap perfume that irritates my eyes and lingers long after you've wiped it off. I'm not sure why you would go to the trouble of formulating a gentle cleanser just to load it up with so much perfume. Perfumes are usually pretty high on the list of irritants for people with sensitive skin looking for a gentle product to use. I would use/repurchase if there was an unscented version or maybe just a different scent but as is the smell just ruins a good thing and makes my eyes water. I kept the rating neutral because it does cleanse well and for all I know tons of people out there may love the way it smells.

This is fine for quick cleansing. It takes off makeup quickly and completely on the first pass with my Clarisonic. I would not buy it again because it really has no "special" anti-aging benefits which I pay closer attention to these days. I use it on those days when I literally want to squeeze a cleanser on my fingers rub in and wash it off or brush it off, fast and easy. Best for on those late nights when all I want to do is to get to bed so that I can sleep. It is made for dry skin and I'm acne/sensitive, but it does not break me out of make me oilier. It does leave the skin nice and soft and does not interfere with other skin care products that I use. I would not purchase it again. It's $20.00 US Retail.

I hate this stuff. My skin is not sensitive but tends to be slightly dry so I thought this would be nice. Instead it doesn't seem to wash off and after patting my face dry (gently), my skin burns. Even after I've applied my night cream. I find nothing tender about it. In the trash it goes.

This product performs as advertised. I don't use this one daily, but I do recommend it for ladies with dry skin. My skin is combo and not dry enough for this formulation.

I have a couple of tubes of this (full sized) stashed away and I use this to melt off nonwaterproof makeup, wipe off with kleenex and then proceed to wash my face with another EL cleanser. I just happened to have the tubes I did not purchase them for this purpose but they work very well for that.

Oh my god, they raised the price on this. I got it for 18 dollars back a year ago. This is a very emollient effective cleanser. I use it to remove ss, Mascara, fndtn, and everything before using Cetaphil. Given you don't use it more than ONCE each time you use it, its going to be very good and kind to ur skin. Won't dry it out at all, or irritate it. BUT if you use it more than ONCE in a row, you really are going to feel the stinging from the fragrance and maybe other irritating things in this cleanser. I have SUPER sensitive skin that is acne-prone, and this works SO well as a MU remover, but not as a sole cleanser, say, on its own, unless, you wear very light makeup and dont plan to double wash.

UPDATE: WOULD NOT CONSIDER DUE TO ANIMAL TESTING FOR CHINESE MARKET 17/02/2012 After using this a couple of nights I can truly say, I'm not impressed by it. It cleanses ok & is suitable for normal to dry skin but the price is totally ridiculous. I haven't looked at the ingredients but there is soooo much fragrance in this, it's a total turnoff. I'm not sensitive to it but I find it annoying & too strong. It's a good thing I got this with a GWP because I would probably have returned it.

Looooove this stuff. Despite the summer heat, my skin has been more dry and irritated than ever, making my redness flare up. I use just a bit of this and it melts into the skin. Tissue it off and you're left with glowing, calm, moisturized skin that doesn't break out. I haven't used this to remove makeup as of yet, but it did get off a bit of mascara left over from the previous night, so I will have to try that in the future. A+, now I just have to hope it doesn't get discontinued, as is my luck.

I use this as a makeup remover. I massage all over my dry face and tissue off. I follow with Caudalie cleansing water. My face is left clean and moisturized. Since I follow with a cleansing water, the scent doesn't bother me.

Although I love Estee Lauder products to no end, there’s really nothing to write home about here in comparison to say other cleansers formulated for dry skin at a better price point. This is my major beef with Estee Lauder cleansers- there’s just no need to charge $20 for something that does nothing different than a $2.00 bar of Dove, Oatmeal soap or Cetaphil. Especially if you are following this up with a toner, totally negating any moisturizing benefits Soft Clean cleanser would otherwise leave behind. I really wanted to like this product and hoped it would do my dry skin some major justice but I didn't feel clean, it left a wierd film that interfered with foundation application, and the scent is very "old lady esque" and seems very unnecessary and therefore whatever artificial scenting ingredients are used here I am sure can be quite irritating to some. I have never completely disliked a Lauder product until now. This just doesn't do it for me. Sigh.

I used up a deluxe sample of this that came in a GWP. It is soft and cushiony" and it removes makeup well but that's about it. It's nothing special that you can't get for half the price elsewhere. I would not buy it again because it's highly fragranced (floral), and it leaves a film behind.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this product! My mom gave it to me for Christmas and it works wonders! I have combination skin (oily and dry) which is the worst!! Cleansers usually just leave my skin really dry, so I have to put lotion on, which then makes my face really oily! This cleanser is amazing! The first time I put it on, I saw results the next day! It leaves my skin moisturized and feeling smooth instead of dry and gross. I would definitely recommend this product!

I am not a fan of this cleanser. It does clean well, and it leaves my face super soft and moisturized afterward; however, I can't stand the strong perfume smell and my face broke out in a mild rash (maybe the fragrance is causing the rash?). I got it as a GWP, so I am glad I didn't pay for it. I would not buy this product for myself, but I can see how people who love strong fragrance and need lots of moisture would love it. I am keeping this and having my daughter use it to wash her very dry hands after school. So far it seems to work well on dry hands!

I have part oily part dry skin. i like this creamy cleanser . so far i have not had any breakouts and I have been using this for a week. removes makeup with no fuss. I do follow with toner to remove residue. there is strong floral scent but that doesn't bother me if your skin reactes badly to fragrance in your products then i would probably stay away.

This gentle, non-detergent, non-foaming cream cleanser in a tube doesn't cause irritation and leaves my skin feeling clean and soft. Instructions say to remove with a tissue, but I prefer to use a damp washcloth because this provides my skin with gentle exfoliation. I've found that I prefer lotion cleansers, so although this is a good product, I no longer buy it.

Excellent cleansing power and very moisturizing for my super-dry wintertime skin. It does have a strong scent, but I don't mind it; and I do like the fact that it foams up.
