Packaging is nice and clean.
Feels refreshing on skin. Is a great toner to clean any leftover makeup/etc. and leave skin feeling nice and clean. I have acne-prone skin and this helped some.
Fragrance is pleasant, but can be overwhelming.
Great product for those who are willing to pay for it.

Ok, first of all: i have the most sensitive skin on earth.
It was a compulsive purchase because i thought that using a toner (wich i never use) would help me prevent breakage, buy instead it caused an ugly skin rash after one day of use am and pm.. I had to return this back.
I would never recommend this to anyone with sensitive, acne or allergy prone skin. So be carefull, this stuff has LOTS of alcohol, the second compound in concentración after water: etilenglicol IS alcohol (I'm a chemist so i know what I'm talking about).

I purchased this on a whim while I was at the EL counter with my mother. She was picking up cleanser for herself and the sales girl started talking about their toners. I didn't have any complaints from my current toner, but thought I would give this one a try because I wanted to buy something, lol.
I am so happy that I decided to buy this! I have combo skin (oily forehead, flaky around the cheeks and nose creases). When I used this product I didn't have an immediate "OMG! It's awesome" reaction. It did what a toner should do (picked up traces of whatever was left behind after a good washing). It did not burn, sting, or leave me with a tight, stripped feeling.
In my opinion, my skin didn't appear noticeably different. After applying, I used moisturizer and my bare minerals foundation as I normally do. Later, when I went out to do some errands and shopping, I kept receiving compliments on how beautiful I was. No joke!! This was coming from complete strangers; men and women, young and old. What a huge bump it was for my confidence :D!!
At the time, I couldn't understand why I would be receiving all of these compliments, and I asked myself what I might have done differently with my makeup, hair, or clothes. And then I realized it must be the toner. I asked my mother and hubby if I looked any different and their answers were both the same: I had a glow that isn't usually as evident.
So there you go. I will be buying this again. It could be coincidence, but I think not. I'll update later if I lose the glow. :)

A refreshing toner which takes off last bit of dirt and make-up off your face after cleansing. It's not super mattifying, but it does pretty well on my oily skin. Most important thing of all is that it's not irritating to my skin at all and I do feel that it cleans my skin properly while offering it a bit of moisture. Not to mention thats it's relatively cheaper than those of many other high end brands.

I got this as a GWP. As I am trying to use up all my samples and remnants of toners I decided to give this a go. To be fair to this toner, it is not meant for my skin type - it is meant for those who have normal to combination skin. My skin errs towards dryness rather than being combination. Thankfully, it's not terribly sensitive.
The first thing that struck me about this product was the smell. It is frangranced but it was the strong alcoholic smell I got from it. I double checked the ingredients and alcohol features strongly on it. I am not a skincare expert but I don't know how alcohol could be a healthy ingredient for any skin type. As far as I can see it just seems to strip the skin of any oil - good, bad or indifferent.
I decided to perservere anyway. It's not the worst toner I have ever used. That has to go to the Clinique 3-step toner in number 2. It burnt the skin off me. This doesn't burn my skin but it does sting and tingle a bit more than your average toner is meant to. I have been using it for the past couple of days and my skin is really starting to object.
Perhaps for someone who does have a lot of oil in their T-zone this might not be terrible to use the odd time but I don't think I would recommend this to anyone to use as part of their daily skincare routine.
I'm not entirely sure what to do with the rest of my bottle of toner but all I can say is that I am glad I got to try before I buy. Disappointing for a brand like EL.

I love the smell it s so nice and the toner also great. This is one of my must have items.

If you are going to either pick the cleanser or toner from the perfectly clean line I would pick the toner. There are so many cleansers out there that you can use but there aren't many toners that are good. This smell refreshing and feels refreshing. It takes away any excess sebum and dirt without drying the skin. In the morning when I feel too lazy to wash my face I just use this toner and it takes away the dirt and oil from the night before.

Might be a tad strong for my skin, there weren't any problems after use but I just didn't like how it stung.

Great stuff! One of the best toners I've ever tried. It takes away any left-over traces of makeup effectively, and leaves my face with a fresh feeling, never tight or stingy. I've also noticed less acne breakouts since I started using it - whether it can be attributed solely to this toner I don't know, but I've really experienced a big difference. The only reason why I'm not giving this 5 lippies or HG status is because of the scent - for me, it's slightly too overpowering and 'perfume-y'. I prefer a more subtle and fresh scent in toners. After all, I don't want to put perfume on my face :) It's somewhat expensive, too - but worth the money. I have repurchased two times and will continue to do so in the future unless I come across something even better.

i love the way this toner makes my skin feel after using it almost a slight tingly feeling. it gets off any leftover makeup that my cleanser might have missed. their is a slight scent but it's not very heavy. it has caffeine in the ingredient which is kinda cool to make my skin look a bit more 'awake'

This is by far and away the best toner I have ever bought! I've been through two of the huge bottles already, and I find it does exactly what it claims to do, which is to "condition and rebalance skin, leaving it feeling fresh and smooth". I absolutely love the way it makes my skin look and feel, especially after using Noxzema's Original Deep Cleansing Cream, as I find that makes my complexion look a little dull. Honestly can't say enough about this toner. I'm never going back to anything else. The only complaint I have is that I'm still paying $60 for the large bottle of this at Murale, and wish it wasn't quite so expensive. However, I only use it in the morning, and it does last me quite a while.

I am on my 3rd bottle of this product. It's called Perfectly Clean, Fresh Balancing Lotion, but it is actually a liquid toner. I use this with the Estee Lauder skincare system. It tones and exfolitates without over drying. I used the Clinique 3 step system in my 20's but in my 30's it just didn't do the job anymore. This toner is alcohol-free....unlike Clinique which over drys and actually produces more oil, making oily areas more oily. This product does exactly what it says, rebalancing, conditioning without drying.
If you are looking for a good skincare product...check out Estee Lauder.

Great lotion. I started using it a week ago and I did also have a slight burning sensation when I first used it, but that has gone. I do attribute that to the menthol. There will most likely always be some irritation when you start using a product for the first time, but if you can't get your skin to accept the product within 2 or 3 days than it's probably not going to work for you. I use it in conjunction with an Estee Lauder facial regimen and this stuff is great. Maybe only using this and the cleanser would be enough, but I use a few other products. I like how it smells, application is easy, and it seems like it will last for a long time. There is no greasiness afterward, but I'm not sure if that would be a normal reaction to this type of product or not. Good product, worth the low cost. Only down side is that the packaging is a little stupid and I would recommend applying it to your face using a cotton ball because you may spill it or waste it when you try to pour it. Good luck with your faces ladies!

This is a great toner. I have normal / combination skin and decided to try this because the SA tolf me it was alcohol free and I found that Clinique's toners were way to harsh for my sensitive skin. Has a slight fragrance but not annoying. I would definitely purchase this again but would probably wait until GWP time.

I've been using this for a couple of weeks now and I can say that I like it.
I was out of my Sans Soucis lotion and I got this huge bottle at about 45 bucks at sale. I did not plan to buy estee lauder but I urgently needed a lotion and there was no brand I wanted available at the store that day. I liked the ingredients and no alcohol.
It it expensive but taking the fact that one bottle of lotion (100-150 ml) costs about 18 USD and lasts for 1,5 months, getting this bottle is very economical. I think it will last me for 4 months minimum.
It did give my face a burning feeling when I first used and I did not like the perfume smell. I also saw that it contained menthol (which my skin hates). Then the burning went away it felt very refreshing. The next morning I woke up and was horrified. I broke out crazy, I had large irritation spots on my cheeks. I had used different lotions and I never had this reaction. The irritation faded away in the evening. For several days I did not use it.
I then decided to give it a try once again to make sure this stuff broke me out. But I applied it not on the entire face but on my forehead and nose only, the next day a small portion on my cheeks and waited...and I did not find any further irritation or harm. maybe it was a first reaction to the new product or some other kind of allergy.
I got used to the smell and I think I will keep using it until it runs out. Here where I live the make up stores don't accept returns. The lotion does its job well, removes the dirt and balances the skin.
However I'd say I will continue using it just because I paid so much for it and i don't want to waste money and get another product until I run out of this.
However I will change this to organic brand products that I love and trust.
Alba Botanica lotion is way better than this although it also gave me a burning effect when I used it for the first time.

I like the feeling of the toner once it has dried as well as the smell. I have oily/combination/sensitive skin and this has worked very well for me.
Pro: it feels fantastic, leaves skin smooth and clean, the bottle will last a long time, the bottle has a small hole on the top so it prevents from LARGE spillage or over dampening the cotton pad.
Cons: Pricey, pricey, pricey,

I just started using this toner and I think it works out well on my sensative acne skin. It did give my face a burning feeling when I first used it but after when the burning went away it felt very refreshing. Also, if you put too much it does make your face feel oily but it does go away and fades away matte when your toner dries. I don't know how well this product would work out for me but at the moment... it's doing it's job!

My mom swears by Estee Lauder's skin care so I decided to try out some of their skincare products myself. I use the Perfectly Clean Foaming Cleanser first to cleanse and then I use this 'lotion' afterwards. The lotion I purchased is for Normal/Combination skin, even though I have Oily skin. I have experimented and it turns out that every product I have used for 'Oily skin' just made my skin oilier. This has enough moisture in it to keep my skin from trying to over-compensate. It balances the pH in my skin after cleansing and leaves it feeling soft. It does not feel harsh on the skin, it leaves my skin feeling refreshed and clean. It also gets rid of all the oil and dirt that I missed when cleansing. It does have a slight fragrance to it, so if you have sensitive skin or do not like fragranced products this may not be for you.
I have been using this for a few weeks now, and I have not broken out or any reactions. There are plant extracts listed in the ingredients, but the only thing that worries be are the parabens in this. This has a High Hazard (8) level on the cosmetics database for the 2005 reformulation, so if you are worried about this then this is also not for you.
The packaging of this is very simple, and you get a whopping 400mL of product (it also comes in a 200mL container). The hole on the bottle is big enough to dispense the perfect amount of product onto my cotton pad. It is not ideal for traveling though as it is so large, you would have to decant. I believe I paid $40CAN for the 400mL bottle.

Huge size.... 400mL, lasts forever lol. I've never figured out the function f toners but I just know you have to use it so really, I don't know what it should do other than make my moisturizer glide on easier coz its wet? this toner smells too perfumey really....
