I received a sample of Hugo Boss Intense for Women and was quite disappointed with it. On my skin i (and in the air where I also sprayed it) there was a sharp and sour note that permeated the whole top/middle/bottom accord. I don't know what exactly the offender was - perhaps the Ozone Accord, which is listed as one of the notes. [Other notes are: Pinch Of Spice, Kumquat, Vanilla Orchid Base, Amber, Patchouli Wood, Sandalwood]. Definitely a downer for me as I was looking forward to this being a deeper, spicier version of its big sister Hugo Boss Red for Women.

This is Deep Red's more sophisticated older sister. Or even its dark-sided, mysterious twin. I would not purchase this as I already own Deep Red. This isn't different enough from Deep Red to justify owning both.

I just got this recently even though i smell it on a guy, well, yes, a guy wearing this a few years back and i like it alot so i asked what fragrance he is wearing and he told me this. :) At first i didn't quite like the scent because it's slightly strong and didn't match to what i had of the wonderful memories of the fragrance and it's drydown to something i didn't quite expect to pick on, something fruity. I smell vanilla there, which is probably why i got it, i always love vanilla scent. But i hate fruity scent. So it didn't appeal to me. As i continue wearing it to school, i started to like it so much that it had sort of cause my attention to shift away from TBS Neroli Jasmine, which is also another favourite of mine. I just couldn't stop sniffing the scent on me. Like one MUAers said, it is addictive, it really is, you have been warned but seriously for me, in a good way. I am now thinking of investing in a bigger bottle. Will definitely repurchase.

Updated: I think this is sort of quite similar to FCUK - her perfume. I think if i wanna get this scent again, i would probably get FCUK as both long-lasting power is not that good and Hugo Boss is slightly more expensive than FCUK here. Good alternative although i am not too happy as FCUK - her is not my favourite fragrance. Will consider whether to repurchase or not now. Off another lippie

Gorgeous sensual fragrance that is in the same vein as Deep Red, but far better, in my opinion. I get vanilla, amber and woods on me. It's almost bordering on being somewhat masculine, but in a very appealing way. Bottle is so/so and nothing special, but the fragrance is fantastic. I would give it a 4.5 if I could, however hasn't hit the 5 lippie mark for me as although I like it, I don't find it outstanding. It is also in the same vein as Hypnotic Poison - but that to me is more outstanding than Intense and therefore more worthy of a 5.

I'm usually sceptic when it comes to Hugo Boss's perfumes, but this one is excelent! I wouldn't say that it isn't for everyday wear or that it needs sophisticated+sexy outfit. Au contraire! This is the only perfume in my large collection that I can wear averytime and everywhere. It's complex, in the same time sweet and bitter, dark and light, casual and elegant. A keeper.

I took one lippie away because pump got stucked after few months and I had to break the bottle so I could use 30m that left inside.

I can mostly smell vanilla, orchid (a bit like Elizabeth Arden's Provocative Woman), and amber, with a bit of spice and soft fruit. Almost masculine scent for a woman, yet utterly feminine too. I find the contrast intriging and appealing.

About that bottle. I find the that two tone dark red and black color with the ugly angular shape suggests harshness and aggression which I don't think the perfume reflects. I couldn't stand looking at it again so I wouldn't buy again simply for this reason. However, I found the body lotion was slightly softer and richer, so I could be tempted to buy another.

Top notes: Ozone accord, Spice, Kumquat
Middle notes: Vanilla, Orchid, Turkish Rose
Base notes: Amber, Patchouli, Woods Sandalwood, Musk

Guess I'm in the minority here. Although I had high hopes for Boss Intense based on the advertised notes, to my nose, it is a soapy version of Hugo Deep Red. Perhaps this close resemblance is by design, and exactly what the folks at Hugo Boss wanted (?). Well, if I had to choose one over the other, at this point, I would go with the Hugo Deep Red. Will test Boss Intense a little longer to see if it grows on me, perhaps as it hits more of it's drydown...

This is a typical Hugo Boss scent, very floral with a touch of Vanilla. A really nice scent, for daywear or evening as its not to heavy. Unfortantley the staying power is not great on me. Dont think i would purchase it again.

Mmm, this smells so good...and sexy. However, after reading reviews I'm feeling ancient. Please, oh please, reviewer below me, I turn 30 in July and apparently will fall into the "if you're older" category. Say it ain't so!

I love this perfume! It's definitely a keeper for me. I don't know about it being generic, I guess maybe I have special body chemistry with it or something, but I get compliments on it all the time -- especially from men. I think it's very unique, and people never take a guess at what it is, so obviously they've never smelled anything like it. It is very strong, 2 sprays is enough, 3 and you're just pushing it. Not for everyday wear unless you're older ;) or your style is sophisticated+sexy enough to match the fragrance, I would say more for evening/romantic wear for most people. I'm on my second giant bottle (which by the way has an incredibly sexy design). The fragrance sticks to me like a magnet all day long, and that's awesome because I hate having to re-spray during the day. I can't describe scents very well, but I find this to be almost masculine at first then simmers down to warm vanilla-floral. It's far from being sugary sweet or cloying, more like spicy/oriental. You just gotta try it!

I agree with the reviewer who felt that this was just too similar to Deep Red - at least in the opening stage - only this dries down to a faintly ambery light floral, or at least it did today on me. It's a nice scent, but I am beginning to see how Burberry Brit and Valentino V absolu and Hugo Boss are all slight variations on the same theme and that is why a lot of people are calling them generic and overdone. I totally agree but I must admit that I am rather fond of this scent and the Boss versions are the best quality and the best deal IMO. I like the bottle for this one best (of the Boss scents, that is) but I like the scent of Deep Red just a little bit more. I give this a 3&1/2, but a No Sale overall. I love the opening but just don't dig the drydown very much.

My current favorite perfume. I smelled this on someone else *had* to have it. I love it so much and others seem to like it too b.c I get told I smell nice.

**Edit** Moved it down to a 4 because I find the smell a bit over powering

I first bought this when I was fifteen. Saved up like crazy for it, and when I finally got the money I went out immediately to the shops and bought it. I wore it for a while, then forgot about it (I think I used up about 3/4 of the bottle.) Well, I recently rediscovered this scent, and went out to buy another bottle since the old one was gone. All I can say is that now, at the age of nineteen, I can appreciate this fragrance more. Really love the colours of the bottle, and the sensual scent. It's got a whiff of masculinity, yet it's utterly feminine at the same time. This is a 'woman' scent, and not for the dainty or timid. UPDATE: My friend, who's a French guy, asked me what perfume I was wearing today, and said it smelled heavenly. Two other girls who stood next to me to take pictures have also said it smells really good. HG perfume for sure. (:

I find it hard to rate this perfume because to be honest, I couldn't smell anything! Maybe it was a dud bottle, old stock or something. I purchased this at a ridiculously low price in a gift set with matching lotion. You'd think by layering it with the body lotion plus spraying the edp I would be able to smell something.I can just barely smell it upon the initial spray. Then nothing! Has anybody else had this problem? I purchased this unsniffed after reading all the reviews here and was so excited to finally get to use it.From other comments here it seems to have quite good sillage. Oh well.I think I'll stick with my crystal noir for something dark and mysterious in the future.
