This color is definitely hard to pull off. It's also one of those colors that looks unique and beautiful in the pan but looks like any other black when applied.
The glitter in the eyeshadow is finely milled and it's tiny and you wont feel it on your face and it wont get all over your hands. That's always an upside, I do feel that this eyeshadow goes on a bit patchy. Kind of like MAC Carbon. It's easy to blend out BUT you really have to pack it on to get it to look even!

Agree with other comments that this works great applied wet as an eyeliner. Can even be applied as a conservative work look yet the color is more rich and has more depth than your typical neutral eye liner colors.

When I tried it on @ Sephora, with the ultra bright lights, I could see the shadow looked dark blue. But after I bought it and put it on, in the sunlight and indoors, it just looks like another boring black shadow. And why buy this, if I can buy cheap black shadow elsewhere at a cheap makeup/accessories/fleamarket type shop? Threw it out in the trash can. Waste of 25 dollars.

This shadow is best applied wet as liner. I use my MAC 266 angled brush to apply it and I love it! It will lose it's blue sparkle if you blend or try to smoke it out. But when it's wet it's a gorgeous dark navy/black shade that sparkles lightly! I love it as my daily liner, it makes my blues pop!:)

I would not repurchase this because there is alot to last. The glitter is to small to notice when it is on the skin. Still a great black though. The blue doesn't pop out to me so I pick this over the night breed.

Wow..are you kidding me that people would buy this again? It looks basically black on me with a few sparkles. If applied wet, it appears slightly blue but it is nothing like what you see in the pot. Such a disappointment. It is pigmented and has great staying power but does me no good when I am not looking for a black eyeshadow.

I didn't like this product at first because I was looking for a more navy shadow, but ended up loving this regardless. It's definitely more black on, but not quite as intense as regular black. It smudges and smokes so well, and also creates clean lines. I use this as my daily eye liner as well as creating a sexy, smoky line. Love it.

I bought this thinking it'd be a really glam black w/ blue shimmer. Unfortunately, the blue shimmer was hardly apparent at all once I applied it. Using this as a black eye shadow, I have no complaints. It's gorgeous and very easy to blend. I would recommend applying it wet to make the shimmer stand out more, but (if applied liberally) you'd probably look like you had a black eye! However, it's great when used wet as a liner. Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous! :)

Great eyeshadow, it is a dark navy blue with shimmer, but the shimmer doesnt overload and doesnt make you look liek a discoqueen, so its suitable for day andnight. Pefect for smoky eyes! As always, love the NARS packaging

It looks so glam in the pan, deep navy blue with cobalt shimmer but once you get this onto the eye, it becomes a matte blue-based black with no shimmer at all. Did suspect the pearls are just on the surface??? But maybe i am too used to shimmery E/S so not so used to matte shades. Truth be told, very good staying powers and easy to apply. Pigmented enough to show colour upon application and does not flake much. Still dislike the way the rubber packaging attracts powder stains. *LOL*

I had such HIGH hopes for this one. It is an utterly gorgeous shade IN the pan, but there is not much color payoff. Mostly sheer black shadow, with just a "hint" of that royal blue sparkle. I had to pile it on(dry anyway). I do have to say, I have to experiment with some application techniques(applying wet/with different brushes/etc.)to see if I can get a better result. I wouldn't hesitate to use this as a liner, but I thought this shadow would give me the ULTIMATE smoky, blue/black eye. I'm not completely sorry that I bought this, but I do wish it applied like the gorgeous color it is in the pan. Oh well.

Amazing as a cake e/l. Also beautiful in outer v, crease, or smokey eye. Apply with wet EoB angled liner brush. And I pat, not rub, or wipe. The pearl shows up better that way. Easy to smudge too. Apply over primer and blue metallic cream shadow(i.e. MAC 'Metalblu', or Liquiset mix w/metallic blue pigment). I'm DDD/NW45.

I am really loving this eye shadow. a BA at the nars counter taught me how to tightline and line my waterline with this shadow. i love that it is a dark blue-black, i don't have anything else like it. the shimmer doesn't show up a whole lot, really there are just barely traces of blue when you put it on, so if you are looking for a truly blue shadow, don't get this. it is too dark. but it is gorgeous and the texture is sublime. i probably wouldn't use this as a counter shadow on my lid as i feel the texture is not soft enough to blend.

This shadow looks beautiful in the compact, blue and glittery. But if you have the misfortune to put it on and heaven forbid smudge it, or blend it with a brush, then goodbye glitter, goodbye blue. You're left with a wonderful blue smokey shadow. However, its then like any other black shadow. I haven't used it wet, so I don't know if that keeps the blue longer. But, used dry, it becomes an ordinary smokey shadow after just a little while. I wouldn't buy it again because I have Night Porter, which does the same thing so no need for two.

I'm on the fence on this one -- because I own all the other Night eyeshadows. I love love love it compared to other brands, but it is very similar to Night Breed when used as an es and el. I love blue on my brown eyes because it makes them pop. Used as an es, it seems a little too blue, though. You have to use it VERY lightly. Overall, because I am a NARS junkie -- I gave it 5 stars. Tons of product.

Wth?! There went $21 bucks I didn't know what to do with. On the Nars website it is described as "Black with Cobalt Blue Pearls". I don't know if they put the wrong shadow in but this is not pigmented and no matter how much I apply I can only get as good as a gray wash. Where are the pearls? Where is the Cobalt Blue? My monitor is off I know, but the color is so vibrant blue I thought IRL the color would come close. It doesn't even come near.
I plan on taking this to a Nars counter and comparing it with another Night Flight and showing the SA. Maybe they made a mistake.

Night Flight is a good shadow to use as an eyeliner. I dip my brush into a drop of contact solution then into the Night Flight shadow. The contact solution helps the shadow last much longer , all day for me.I would repurchase if I ran out of this shadow.

Its a dark metallic blue which I had trouble applying evenly (it would be nice if the shadows came with applicators - that is a minus to me that it doesnt) it also seemed to crease a bit. I am in my 30s and couldnt imagine wearing it to anywhere but a dance club or party, so although I thought it was a pretty cool shade it is VERY bold and I can't picture many people being able to pull it off for daytime.
Nice lasting pigment but it didn't seem very blendable, although to be fair I only tried wearing it a couple of times before giving up.

I just got this in a swap and it's my favorite NARS Night shadow so far. It's a blackened navy/blue with blue microglitter. Very glamorous and very fun. I love to use this as a cake liner, or use all over the lid for extra drama. Looks great with any other blue shadow. You will like this if you love dramatic eyeshadows. I will definitely buy again if I ever run out. At 20 bucks per shadow it's a bit pricey, but worth it.
