Definitely a PINK color. It was pretty and opalescent, but I couldn't justify the price for the color payoff (too sheer, even after building it up over another white shadow or on itself). I bought it to put in the tearducts of my eyes, but it ended up being so pink it just made me look tired. The consistency of the shadow was nice, but like I said, way too expensive for what you actually get.

I wear this shadow every day. I use it with just mascara for work, and as a highlighter on the top of my eye at night. It's also perfect for mixing and layering to make another dull shadow more exciting. By far my favorite NARS shadow.

im very into the whole irridescent thing right now so this was a good buy for me. i just wish it showed up a little more. it takes a lot of light to see the pink. i was also disappointed about how tiny the shadow was. it seemed larger in the store. i felt a little ripped off.

I love Himalayas as a browbone highter & in the inner corners of my lids. But if you're looking for a white (or off-white) with strong pink iridescence I'd say to go for MAC's Pink Opal Pigment or Shu's IR Rainbow 900P. I believe the reason I love this shade so much is because the pink iridescence is not as obvious as MAC's Pink Opal or Shu's IR Rainbow 900P. I wouldn't normally use either of those as a browbone highter, but I can successfully use Himalayas & it does the job beautifully. I love the subtlety of this shade & I will definitely repurchase.

I would buy this product again but only to compliment other eyeshadows (NARS or otherwise) I find it can clean up bad blending moments as well as changing the colors to be a little more light & flighty. By itself, it doesn't do it for me though, not on my skin tone.

This is my most used NARS shadow I have since I use it as a base and highlighter for all my others. I'll try to describe this.... it's white with pink/blue/purple undertones to it? Makes it perfect for me to use with almost all my other shadows since they're cool colors.

This is one of the first Nars shadows I ever wore and purchased.
Himalayas is a white shadow with an irredescent Pink shimmer that is gorgeous as highlighter and on the lid.
This shadow is worth buying and rebuying there is nothing like it
and is far superior to the Mac shade most of you are suggesting.

I really like this shadow. I have it in the NARS Cool palette. It is great for highlighting, and while it does resemble MAC's pink opal pigment it isn't nearly as obvious. It's more subtle and is also a great shade to help lighten and blend other colors.
Himalayas is the more adult/wear to work version of MAC's pink opal and I have no problems with staying power when used over a base. :)
As I write this I am wearing it with MAC's greensmoke on the lid and Cairo in the crease, blended well with MAC's e/l in Tarnish. I was really happy with how it all turned out and would repurchase Himalayas if I were to run out.

I’d completely forgotten about this colour until I bought the NARS Cool Palette and this eyeshadow was in it. I had a NARS appointment a few months ago and the MUA used this on my browbone as a highlighter. The shade isn’t remarkable – frosty ivory with a pinkish-green opalescence. You can find many cheaper brands that look just like this colour. It's in my palette so I'll use it, but I certainly wouldn't go out and buy this as a single.

Beutiful color that looks good on almost anyone- it's got so much depth! Really worth checkiong into.
NARS eyeshadows make my eyes itch, though, so no more for me.

I love this color. It's nice and white, but the pink opalesence (sp?) makes me love it. I'm very pale so it works great as a wash color. I also think that it's more wearable for me (extreme PPP, cool, blue eyes) than the other white shadows from Nars. Will repurchase if I ever run out.

This is one of NARS's unique colors. It appears white at first in the packaging, but when hit directly by light shimmers baby pink. Makes a good highlighter for a pink eyeshadow look.

This is a very pretty & subtle e/s which is great as a wash or hi-lighter. On me it flashes irredescent pink & violet. Soooo sweet!!!

I really like this shadow. It looks very white and chalky in the packaging, but when you apply it, it's a very sheer, irridescent whitish, pinkish color with a touch of shimmer. I use it as a highligher under my brow and also under my eyes where I would normally apply liner. It also looks nice applied over the top of another, darker shadow. Very versatile and unique. I will definately buy again, despite the high price.

This is one of my favorite basic eyeshadows. It's a beautiful white with a hint of pink and a tiny bit of shimmer. It does not show up on me as a "stark white-white", which I like.

This is a very frosty off-white with iridescent pink shimmer. A unique shade, but not particularly versatile. Being so pale and frosty, its main use is as a highlighter in a dramatic look. If you were prepared to sacrifice the unique pink shimmer, you could get a similar look in many other ranges at lower prices.

I think this color is unique and I really like it. It's very nice for a wash. I do wish it showed up a little more than it did, and that's why I give it a 4 instead of a 5.

A shimmery, neutral white. Looks nice when used as a highlighter, but I have SO MANY other shades that function similarly.
