Just used this 3 days ago, bought overseas for RM50 = AUD17. I agree with the packaging, it's best to put it upside down at all times. I like this lotion, very similar to many Japanese milk lotion (especially Kose Ultimation AX Lifting Moisturiser - THE BEST). Will update this review next week, to tell you gals how was it on my oily face :)
[edit] No effect so far. No breakout, no whiter face. Too mild?

I have to RAVE about this product. After having it for a year in the cupboard and not noticing it, I finally decided to at least give it a fair shot. And WOW, this just might become a HG. I am in love with certain Japanese products!
If you are looking for special benefits, dont bother. The ingredient list is safe and simple. This product won't whiten your skin and does not have AHA or Retinoid in it to exfoliate to reveal fresh skin. What it is is the perfect, non-comedogenic, light, fresh moistuizer for oily/combo skin I have ever tried. It doesn't have a sunscreen, which is ok as I use this at night on top of Retin-A and in the day time under my Kiss My Face SPF 30.
What I love about it is that it makes my skin look and feel clear and fresh. The non-comedogenic ingredients are pretty safe. For some wild reason, I get minimal oil breakthrough while using this product. Usually I get oily in the T zone by noon. I haven't changed anything else in my regimen. One reviewer below mentioned this product containing alcohol...well if it controls oil on me that factor in itself means I might be buying this forever!!! .
The packaging is beautiful on my dresser, it comes in this blue plastic jar with silver rims looking like more $$ than I spent. Only negative is that it is not easy to travel with and I have to really shake the bottle to get the product out. Also, the jar is huge for about $11 -$13 here and will last a long time. If you have a Japanese grocery store around you, you can easily find this product and other Kanebo products in the line.
UPDATE: Since I have oily combo skin I found that I really didn't need to moistruize. So I bumped it down to a 4 as its not in my beauty arsenal any longer.

I bought this because I thought it my help with my uneven skin tone. I bougth this over ebay since I live in the US, and I paid about ~$45-50 dollars for Freshel C Milk and Lotion full size, L type as I have oily skin. While I don't think it provoked any breakouts on my skin, it didn't stop the odd blemish from breaking out either. It was extremely light on my skin and left me feeling fresh. It was very watery, maybe too much water in the product not enough active ingredients. But I needed something stronger to take care of my skin, blemishes and uneven tone and it wasn't this. And I also don't want to have to wait 2 weeks to get this from Asia either! The bottles though are very Japanese and cute.

I've combination skin and I'm using the (M) version, the moisturising one. It is a little oily for me to use during the day. It feels sticky on the skin after applying. So I only use it at night. It does brighten up my already fair but uneven Asian skin tone. I like the content - Vitamin C :)
Edit: Still can't take the oiliness of it!

Not much of a whitening effect, however, it did heal my acne scars a little quicker! :]

I used the Freshel range for years and love it. My skin is luminous, don't get breakouts from it (I have very sensitive skin) and it works well with the other Freshel products. The price is also a big plus, even though the large bottle take ages to finish!
I've got lots of moisturisers lying about but I always go back to this one. Living in Aus with dry weather conditions, I find this moisturiser just right with it's light texture. Have already bought a couple more to see me through before my next visit to Asia.

I would like to love this product but I can't as this made me have an allergic reaction. I haven't got sensitive skin and haven't tried a product before that gave me an allergic reaction. I brought the L version and it was nice on the skin but overnight I got red itchy blotches all over my face. Just to confirm I have an allergy against this product I tried it again after a week and after a few hours my face started to itch. It was the same for the cream, but I was alright with the lotion and the soap.

I have never had a positive experience with these so-called moisture "milks", including this one (I have the L version). I find them to be runny and slimy feeling on the skin, and they never truly "dry" on my combo skin - they just leave a sticky film on my face. That said, I also haven't noticed any whitening effects from this product. I would not repurchase.

Love Love Love the entire Freshel C range. In only a week I have hydrated, luminous soft whiter skin. I have this milky moisturiser in M (moist) for normal/dry skin and it has made such a huge difference to my normally red/flushed freckled skin. Living in a very hot area of Australia this has calmed my skin and begun to fade my freckles. I cannot believe how quickly this has worked or for that matter that it has worked at all, always being dubious about whitening skincare claims. Thanks to the great reviews here I bought a skincare set from Ebay as Kanebo is yet another product that is unavailable in Australia and will definately be repurchasing. Must have product!

I have the L version and I find it to be an okay moisturizer. It doesn't break me out and feels quite good on the skin. However, I think it has alcohol in it and it dries my skin out at times. I'd repurchase it but the container seems to last forever! I'm going for something new next time.

I bought the L (sappori) version for normal-oily skin. I have combination skin, and normally only use oil-free moisturisers, so i was afraid it would break me out. It hasn't yet, and normally my skin will react the first or second day. I haven't been using it long, so I will update if I have any reactions. It has a light, watery texture, and is perfect for summer. It's winter now where I live, but it's enough moisture for my skin. I use Neutrogena Fine Fairness toner with this, and it's a great combination! My skin feels so soft and hydrated using these two products, and my pores are not so visible. When my Neutrogena toner finishes, I'll get the Kanebo Freshel White C toner. I bought this moisturiser for NZD$30, which is about $10 more expensive than the Japanese price of 1,400 yen. I think it's a reasonable price for moisturiser. I will update on the whitening properties of this product if I notice any. UPDATE- I stopped using this product after two weeks because it gave me a couple of tiny clogged pores. I know it was this product because I stopped using it for a few days- no bumps. Use it one night-next day one or two bumps. I'll have to use it up on my neck and hands. These days I tend to break out from things that are not oil-free, but i'm sure most people could use this without problems.

I've tried both the M(shitorri?)type and the L(sappari?) type. I have combination skin and don't find either to have the right balance for me. So I use the L type in the day and the M type at night.
After application, especially the L type, my skin feels a little tight, which indicates the high vitamin C content. And the uva ursi extract provides an extra whitening kick too. So far, I find this line has greater whitening power than Kose Sekkisei, but doesn't give my skin the hydration that Kose does. Overall, I'm happy with this product, it really does fade hyperpigmentation quite quickly, but not all of it. I find that my pigmentation level stayed at a constant level, which is still a bit darker on the face than on the neck. And using the Freshel C mask has solved that problem.

I used IB -II and wanted a cheaper version of Kanebo so I got this in a swap. I have only been using it a few days, but so far Im pretty impressed. It is more runny than IB but the moisturizing job is very close to IB. At less than a third of the price! I got the M, for normal to dry skins. I will update for the whitening effect and other longer term effects!

A very light weight lotion! I use this during the summer months. As for whitening, I'm not sure this does anything for that. Would really be great if they made it with a sunscreen....oh well!

i bought this along with all the other kanebo whitening products i could find on ebay. it's a moisturizer, a nice one, but couldn't replace my HG oil of olay. got it in the "L" formula, the lighter of the two. used it for about 2 weeks with the whitening lotion. made my skin look better, but not any lighter. won't buy again, but i'll try to use it all up=)

This is a lightweight moisturizer for daytime for me. It comes in either the pink (M) for dry/normal skin or green (L) for oily skin. I have combo skin and use the (L) version and didn't find it too dry at all. I use this in combination with the Freshel White C Whitening Lotion. After about a few weeks of use, I did see a slight difference in skin tone. My skin is very fair to begin with but I got a bit lighter using this product.

I prefer the cream to this one cause it's too light for my dehydrated skin. The bottle is a little clumsy for pouring out the milk. Be better if it came in a pump bottle. Won't be repurchasing..

i recently switched to all japanese skincare and haircare on a whim... and i love it all! i got a bunch of kanebo stuff at a japanese supermarket, including this, and it has become my all-time favorite summer moisturizer. it's a very light unscented lotion (very thin in consistency) but it moisturizes very well. i adore the soft matte finish! it leaves my skin soooo silky smooth. i'm not looking for any "whitening" effect however and haven't noticed any whitening on my skin (i'm a somewhat pale asian anyways). but i think it really has improved the overall condition of my skin! my only dislike is the hard plastic bottle it comes in - i can see this being very hard to dispense when the level gets low (a squeeze bottle would have been more convenient). overall this lotion is a great buy at only 10 bucks or so.

Great light face lotion. It didn't make me feel like I had on a mask at all and was very soothing. After two weeks of use coupled with the whitening toner, I had a brighter complexion and softer, smoother skin. Great product for the great price!
