LOVE this product!
I haven't had any of the 'film' or residue issues other users have had but I remove it with a warm damp flannel, rinse and wipe a few times.
My skin always feels so soft the next morning after Ive used it with no rough patches. Its non comedogenic too which is good. As a few other cleansers I have tried have given me serious spots! (Elemis, Liz Earle, Eve Lom)

This used to be my HG cleanser, but I've since found other products that work better for me. Having said so, I still like having the lait nettoyant around. I prefer to use it in the shower, where I can get a really good rinse. I find it to be very gentle, and non-irritating (despite a strong smell, which I really don't mind at all). I don't wear a great deal of makeup, so I've never had troubles with it removing everything. However, on days where I do wear a liquid foundation, I find that I need an extra step before using the LN (a makeup wipe or a second cleanser). It's pricey but nice - I'd repurchase it but I go through my bottles veeeery slowly now...I only use it once and again.

My sister gave me a bottle of this stuff. I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but this does nothing to remove my makeup. The first time I used it, I washed once, then used my toner as usual, and I noticed a bunch of foundation came off on my cotton ball. The second night I used it, I cleansed twice to make sure I got everything off before toning, and my cotton still had foundation on it like I didn't wash my face at all. The only good thing about this cleanser is it leaves my skin soft and moisturized, but crisco would too. This cleanser is useless.

It's a good cleanser. It removes make up and dirt pretty well. I dont like the smell that much. I never try other cleanser but since my skin is very sensitive and this one doesnt break me out. Recommend for sensitive skin. Would buy this again? No bc of the price and I would like to try something else.

I love this cleanser - it removes makeup and dirt, keeps skin moisturized and provides a thurough cleanse while being non drying. I also love the nostalgic "old lady" smell.

I use this only in the winter when my oily skin turns to dry in some areas. I happened to adore the smell, it has a baby soft smell to it. Just like the user said below, this cleanser leaves the skin feeling soft and not tight, yet no greasy film. Love it.

Currently using this as my morning cleanser ( imho all yon-ka's cleansers are fantastic) and It's part of my staple cleansers. I've been using it on and off in rotation with other staples for the past 5 years. I love the scent, its a very soft baby powder scent and texture is nice and creamy. I like to apply this cleanser on dry skin, emulsify with water and massage ( the texture feels really satiny and luxurious this way) and remove with a silky cotton pad ( I love missha the premier silky cotton pads) and rinse with water. My skin feels super smooth afterwards without any trace of tightness and no film ( even though im not turned off with cleanser which leave a film as im ery dry) . Im extremely dry ans senstive and loads of non foaming cleansers can leave my skin feeling dry. Its excellent at removing makeup, even eye makeup however i prefer using a cleansing cream or oil to remove makeup. Great packaging and price wise I find it pretty standard standard not overly pricy. The only thing I dislike about this cleanser is the mineral oil, Im very milia prone and luckily this doesnt seem to cause any for me.

Don't like this. It smells icky (very old lady smell) and since I've started using it I seem to be getting more blackheads. Now, I have also started the Galbol 90 and Phyto 52, so it may be one of these. Can't be sure, but since I've started the Yonka products, I have new blackheads.

This is a good cleanser. It works well and takes off all of my eye-makeup easily. I'm not crazy about the smell, but it's not awful either. Leaves my skin soft. On my driest days it's just right and on not-so-dry days I really want to use a toner because I feel a little greasy afterward. I think there are a lot of good cleansers out there, and this is certainly one of them. I love anything that works on eye makeup so I don't have to buy two products. I probably prefer La Roche Posay's Toleriane cleanser to this -- it's similar but has no odor, but this one is very good too.

This is one of my favourite cleansers. It does not irritate the skin at all. I like that I can use it to remove my eye makeup as well since it is so gentle. I totally understand though why some people feel that they can't wash it off completely. What I do after massaging the cleanser on my face is I rinse with water and I take a cotton ball and wipe down my face. That removes my makeup and does not leave any residue. Also, the Gel Nettoyant would be better if you want that squeaky clean feeling. Both are fantastic cleansers. I love them both. They are pretty pricey, but i think they are worth it. Plus Yon-ka does not test on animals!

I got this in tandem with the gel online since it was cheaper in bulk. I thought "Hey...they are both Yon-ka..."
And then I spent the next few months hoping that I would run out of the lait soon so I could go back to my gel cleanser. Perhaps it is my personal taste that I want my cleansers to foam up or else I feel as if its not cleaning my skin, but I seriously thought my skin didn't feel clean post wash. In fact, I would go a little mad on my toner to rid the film like feeling I had across my face. In terms of affecting my skin I'll admit that it didn't cause breakouts and my skin tone did get a bit better, but I would expect a little more for its excessively high price.
And I will agree...the smell is not something I'm overly fond of. I cannot remember it now that I've gone back to the gel but I do know I cringed at it a bit. I know some reviewers said it smelled like old lady; I'm not sure but the imagery sounds correct. I cringe a bit at that smell too. And here's what bothered me most. Over time the product seemed to separate, the creamier, heavier substance settled at the bottom, and a darker blue, oilier substance would sit at the top. This is an absolute no no for me in expensive cleaners. If you're going to charge so much money for a product, DO NOT have it so that the materials are so unbalanced that they actually sift and segregate! I had to shake it up and I felt REALLY nervous using it every time I had to do that. Every time I saw it happen I really felt like I was using a below par product and was frightened to put it on my face.
So verdict...sticking to the gel.

I am very picky about fragrance, and this smells like an old lady. If that doesn't bother you, prepare for an EXCELLENT cleanser! It suctions off every molecule of makeup, oil, dirt, whatever. It's incredibly effective and it leaves my skin feeling silky soft and perfectly clean. I won't repurchase because the fragrance makes me feel queasy, but if you want a turbo-cleanser definitely give it a try.

I didn't care for this cleanser at all. It was absolutely horrible at removing all of my make-up which I believe has caused the break-outs that have been occurring since I started using it. The smell is not for me either... much too strong. I will not buy again.

This is truly a great milky cleanser. It removes makeup, deep cleans (without drying or irritating skin), and rinses clean. The only reason it doesn't recieve 5 lippies is the smell.... it's a powdery old lady smell.

I really like this cleanser. I have had problems with severely dehydrated/ dry skin (barrier damage), and since using this cleanser together with yon-ka toner, my skin feels a lot less dry. No breakout/ irritation at all. I tissue off, and then rinse off, and it removes makeup nicely without drying skin at all. But I have to repeat this process (like almost all milk cleansers) to feel completely clean. Since I've used this cleanser, my skin became a lot more balanced and less sensitive. But the packaging is very bad, though. The pump is designed in a way that it's impossible to travel with. & I go through it so fast, which makes it very expensive. Edit Jan 2007: after using up this cleanser and experimenting with other products, I realized how good this cleanser is. It's so gentle but effective. **Update again Sep 2007** I found a better cleanser: babor hyol+phytosensitive & bioderma crealine as a toner. I think yon-ka is not bad for dry skin but with babor + bioderma my face looks clearer.

I love the Yonka cleansing milk. It is the perfect makeup remover. It smells devine and doesn't irritate my skin. Used to work as an esthetican and this was one line that proved great results.

I received a sample of this, and was hesitant to use it on my acne prone combo skin, especially since it feels like it leaves a bit of a film on my skin. However, I have noticed no reactions, no increase in breakouts, and my skin feels great. Oily areas are no less oily than using other cleansers. And it smells like Heaven--soft, dreamy, and expensive (which is appropriate, as it is) LOL. Will purchase full sized--there are far worse things I could indulge in.

I am suprised that I liked this so much as I suffer from oily skin, burt after recieving a sample decided to try it.
This cleanser is fantastic used as an eye make-up remover, it removes even the most stubborn of waterproof mascaras without irritating my sensitive eyes.
I do not even have to rinse my eyes afterwards, it is so gentle.
Nice soft scent, not at all overpowering, a little goes a long way, my sample lasted a month, I will definatley be repurchasing
