This cleansing foam is as expansive as the department store brand (if you divide the price per ounce). In my opinion, it's NOT worth the price.

The foamy texture reminds me of Clinique's Rinse Off Foaming Cleanser. It doesn't have fragrance so it's less likely to cause skin irritation.

Here are some pros about this cleanser:
-It cleans extremely well and takes off everything on my face. My face feels "squeaky" afterward.
-Nice, soft and creamy foam makes washing face a good experience.

Here is the down side:
This cleanser has a VERY high pH (I measured the pH with a pH strip) as compare to a regular bar soap or dish detergent. High pH cleansers tend to strip skin's natural protective barrier away. Of course my skin was peeling & dry when I used this cleanser to wash my face. Perhaps this is due to the drying effects of Tazorac on my skin. So I need to use a milder facial cleanser that will not dry my skin. For this reason I discontinue using this and will not repurchase.

I love this stuff. One of the more economical purchases through DHC.

Nice cleanser- a pea sized amount is all that's needed. Light scent. Nice texture. Cleans without drying. I'm hooked on this stuff.

I've liked almost all the skincare products I've tried from DHC so I was excited to find a sample of this in a recent swap package. However, it's too drying for my combo skin - my face feels tight after I've rinsed my face. The cleanser itself has a creamy pearly texture and it foams up nicely with water. Also, it won't remove my eye makeup so I had to use a separate product for that. I do like that it's unscented though.

Works great! Takes off foundation and leaves not a trace of it. I have oily skin and this cleans without stripping or leaving any sort of residue. Love how a little dot foams up and washes my entire face. Product lasts a long while since a pea sized dot will do, cheap as well for quite a bit of product. Sucks that I gotta order it online from DHC, $7 shipping makes me kinda mad, actually a lot mad. Why do they have to ship a cleanser thats not even made from glass in a huge ass cardboard box, c'mon now. Love this product, doesn't break me out or make me greasy, it has no fragrance and it cleans it all! I also have the washing powder and don't really like it. Just can't compare to the foam.

While this removed the day's grime from my face, it left a residue on my face that had me rewash my face with another cleanser. Contains parabens.

Love it! I have combination skin with a very oily T-zone and dry everywhere else. This gets the oily parts squeaky clean and the dry parts don't feel stripped. It reminds me of the Washing Powder which I liked, but would breathe in the powder (I have sensitive lungs) so I switched to this. I use just a tiny bit and it lathers into a milky foam. One thing I like better about the Washing Powder is that it contains papain (enzymes), while the Cleansing Foam does not.

This is a great basic cleanser. It's not fancy, though I love the plain yellow and white striped tube. It cleans well, but doesn't leave my skin dry at all. I have nothing bad to say about it, and use it daily as my morning facewash.

I received this as a sample and used it at the gym. Do NOT get it anywhere near your eyes- this stuff burns!!! Also, it left my face feeling overwashed and dry. Not a good cleanser for me.

DHC has saved my skin. I began using DCH cleansers about a month ago, and my acne-prone, slightly oily skin has done a complete and total turnaround. I don't know what to attribute it to, exactly, but I do know that I've had only two pimples in two months. And that is a major miracle for me.

To cleanse at night, I use their Washing Powder (because of its slight exfoliating properties); sometimes I use their Deep Cleansing Oil first if I have lots of caked-on makeup. I use this stuff in the a.m. shower, and one pass takes away all of my greasies.

I am sold on this stuff.

I received a sample of this with my DHC catalog and have been using it for the last 4 days. There is still plenty left in the sample but I'm afraid I won't be finishing it - I think it has caused a pimple. Such a shame because this cleanser is really nice... you only need a small dab to wash your whole face, it lathers up a lot, washes clean and it's really not that expensive when you consider how long the tube will last (about $8 for 2 oz?). Oh well.

I received a sample of this in my DHC catalog, and used it after cleansing with DHC cleansing oil, which I love. The only good thing I can say is that it definitely removed all traces of the oil--but it also felt incredibly stripping and drying. My skin is usually oily, but it felt very tight and dry after using this product. Also--do NOT get it anywhere near your eyes!! I got some in my eyes, and it burned horribly. My eyes were painful and red for the rest of the night. I even had to replace the contact lenses I was wearing at the time.

Wow, right now, a 3-fer on this product, making it very inexpensive. And when I used the sample, the tiniest amount, less than the size of a pencil eraser, worked on my entire face. This is a light creamy cleanser that works up quickly into a low-sudsing foam. It rinses quickly. Leaves face soft, but cleaner than with their mild soap. If you are VERY dry, you will want a creamier cleanser. I am medium-dry-normal (over 50) and this is my choice for summer cleansing. Love love love it. DHC is all I use now.

I was surprized at the number of negative reviews of this product! I would DEFINATELY not use it w/o some sort of moisturizer afterwards--but I like that squeaky-clean "drying" effect. I have that "mother's wrinkles /daughter's acne" kind of skin and this seems to be the best thing for it....although I would reccommend avoiding the eye area--it's not gentle. I take it camping where it becomes a cleanser, body wash, shave gel and, if I'm desperate, a shampoo. (Try a sample on a small area first, I guess! )

After using a sample of this lavishly foaming cleanser, my face felt exceptionally clean, although a bit stripped. Even though I have primarily oily skin and enjoy feeling squeaky clean, this cleanser would be too drying to use on my sensitive skin on a regular basis. Upon rinsing, to my chagrin my eyelids and the skin around my eyes were swollen and an alarming bright red. Two itchy red hives appeared elsewhere on my face and my face begain to burn a little, so obviously this was a mistake for me. I gave it 2 lippies though because it is concentrated (takes very little product) and I’m partial to a cleanser that foams.

We have a winner! I was on the hunt for the perfect DHC cleanser for me and the last one I tried, the cheapest one was the best. I have normal skin that gets oily at times but other cleansers I've used like the Deep Cleansing Oil leave my face feeling dry and tight. Cleansing Foam takes only a little bit of cleanser to lather into a nice foam that leaves my skin feeling clean and smooth. I love this stuff. And $8 is only a little bit more than the drug store cleansers cost. I'm surprised more people don't like it but hey that just leaves more Cleansing Foam for me. :)

The reviews for this product are quite mixed (both here and with people I have spoken to), but I've got to give this a positive review. I'm in my mid-twenties and have battled acne since my early teens. I've tried almost every cleanser on the market, and they all either seemed to make my acne worse or dry out my skin. This cleanser, however, is fantastic. I only use a small amount twice a day, and it foams wonderfully and rinses off cleanly every time. My skin feels clean but not tight (or dry) after washing, and I think my skin looks the best it has in 10 years. Wonderful product.

First, let me say that I highly recommend this product to anyone that favors a creamy cleanser, wants great travel packaging, and likes to use just a little bit at a time of a cleanser that will last forever. It is very nice and has the typical "clean" feeling that DHC cleansers, in my opinion, have (no smell, light, mild). However, I have figured out that with my combo, very sensitive skin and maybe just my personal prference, this is not for me. I just don't feel like the creamy foam is getting the job done and so I had to give it just 3 lippies for my personal experience.

Boy the reviews of this product are really a mix! I must add mine to the negatives. I have oily skin that does not break out, but can get sensitive in parts when exposed to harsh soaps or cleansers. This cleanser foamed up nicely and rinsed off well but dryed out my skin a little and irritated it a bit as well. I gave it to my friend to try out and it had the same effect. She ended up throwing it away and I didn't mind a bit. I'm glad I didn't pay full price for it!

I bought this based off of the good reviews and because I like many DHC products. This is possibly one of the worst cleansers I have every used. after using it for a week, I am SO broken out with painful acne. Before using this cleanser I only had a few very small pimples that were barely noticeable. It felt like it left a film on my face. The second ingredient is myristic acid and the fourth is stearic acid, so it is definitely not good for acne prone skin. Also, it has a twist off cap which is hard to get on and off when your hands are wet. The only good thing about this cleanser is even thought the tube is small, a tiny amount is more than enough, so it would last for a while.

With my sample that I recieved, this dried up and hardened within a few days.. I don't know why it would do that.. even being exposed to air? It seemed to cleanse pretty thoroughly, but I can't figure out why it gets so hard. This makes me think that even the tube would dry out quickly and turn bad way too fast.
