Great sheer-light buildable coverage pressed powder. I am very fair with peachy/neutral undertones and "Porcelain" fits me well. Looks very natural; goes on really creamy matte. Foolproof powder and flawless whether you apply it with a powder brush or a sponge. Does not cake, settle into pores, accentuate dry skin/wrinkles or cause breakouts. Lasts all day, even after a hike/yoga/workout. I put Everyday Minerals "Finishing Dust" setting powder over it for extra staying power; it prolongs it throughout the day/night. I have a oily T-zone and only had to touch up my nose a couple times in hot/humid weather. The only con is that it tends to wash out your complexion and may be too matte/flat (unless that's what you prefer). At the moment I prefer Everyday Minerals semi-matte foundation for natural dewy/glowing coverage.

I bought this at the Cosmetics Store at an outlet mall, I dont think I would have paid full price ($27) for it, however, i do love it. It works nicely to set foundation and gives me a polished glow. It lasts pretty well through out the day. I have this in Amaretto 20. I use it over tinted moisturizer. If i use it over a heaver foundation i find it looks & feels like i have too much make up on. It does not cake, but it just looks like too much make up.

I tried Silk Screen due to the wonderful reviews here on MUA. I know I was expecting it to be my HG. I think I'm going to try a few different powder foundations, as this product might be better used strictly to set one's foundation. The texture and non-comedogenic formulation are great, I think it has SPF in it, but the color made my skin look older, grey and my smile lines harsh. (I wore it in Tender).
Although its sleekness and light weight are attractive, I also wish this compact were a little sturdier. I dropped both of my Origins powders at most three feet onto the floor of my dorm, and opened them to find the powder shattered each time.
As a result, I recanted the powder into an old BE container, and I discovered it works much better for coverage when applied with a kabuki brush. Yet, trying to avoid loose powders since Dr. Oz scared me off of inhaling BE minerals into my lungs.
Price: USD 26.50 at flagship store.
Definitely will return to this if my forays into other top-rated powder foundations (Shiseido, etc. ) are unsuccessful.

FINALLY!!! I have been searching for the last year (since Clinique discontinued their Clarifying Powder Makeup) for a powder foundation that works with my very oily skin and I have found it in Silk Screen! Color matching was a bit tricky but I found an exact match with Camel and it makes my skin look wonderful! The best part is I only have to touch up 3 times a day compared to every 30 minutes with every other type of powder and/or foundation I have used. I cannot believe it controls my oil and shininess so well. It's a miracle. I hope others who feel betrayed about the discontinuation of Clarifying Powder Makeup by Clinique will find this powder foundation as helpful.

I have a love hate relationship with this powder... it's horrible if you apply on top of a regular moisturizer... like it starts caking up or something. This has never happened with my other powders or foundations... So i had to change my regular moisturizer to a moisturizer/primer type with a more matte finish. I tried applying this with their sponge but it enlarged my pores for some reason.. and i guess the best way to apply this is with a large fluffy brush. I also bought the origins powder brush with is really soft but i think i need a larger fluffier brush from maybe mac or something. Something less dense.... anyway this powder IS really silky if you apply it right... It was kind of hard to get a good match for my skin despite the fact that they have a large range of colors available. It gears more towards the pink undertone people... I have heavy yellow undertone but im like a NC25-NC30ish...

It's worth a try because the powder is really cheap imo.. very good quality for the price. I guess I just have to wait and see if it does miracles if I buy a large mac powder brush to use with this. Will update later!! :)

I have been using this powder for the last 3 months, and so far I really like it. I love the finish, it doesn't look cakey or powdery its very smooth. Similiar to how MAC Natural finish looks right after I apply it, really nice and smooth except it is not shimmery. I have been reading reviews of the color Sesame and Caramel Mousse for skintones NC40ish which is strange because both these shades match me and I am NC30. I do use a huge fluffy brush and it looks very natural on me. I was originally matched to Camel but it had too much of a pink tone for my skin, and Sesame is perfect for my olive skin. I would definitely give this a try if you are looking for a powder with medium coverage. Price is very reasonable for me since it lasts so long and quality is really great.

I purchased this as a touch up powder/sheer finishing powder for daily use. Overall I'm very happy with the product. The powder is unbelievably soft, which really wowed me, and a little goes a long way. To get a sheer finish, I have to be very light handed, otherwise I'll end up with a medium coverage. This is especially true if you use the included sponge (I use a face brush, better control). So far I've had no issues with caking. In terms of oil control, the powder holds up better than most, but is no holy grail for me. I still need to use a primer, which is fine. I personally prefer is a more luminous finish, while this powder is definitely matte.

I would consider re-buying this product in the future, though I expect the compact I have will last for a long time.

I've been on the hunt for a good touchup powder for a while. Pressed or loose isn't really that important, though I thought I'd be in the mood for loose as the bulk of the rest of my makeups are all loose. Imagine my surprise when I wandered by the Origins counter and, thinking, "Oh, why not" let the lovely lady smack some powders on my face.

I wound up with Bisque as I wanted something absolutely neutral to my skin and it's lovely. I adore the texture, and it meshes flawlessly with my BE bareMinerals foundation. The compact is a nice size and includes a mirror. I ditched the sponge in favor of my travel brushes (EcoTools FTW) and all keenerbeans.

Seriously makes my skin feel like silk and lasts even through the gawdawful heat we have in this area. I only gave it 4 lips, though, because while I'm in the smallish range of shades they carry, I can't recommend it to all my friends and that pisses me off. Seriously, Origins, make a full range of colors!

I gave it 4 lips on price, too, because the amount received in the allegedly recyclable compact is small for the $25USD price tag, but it's fantastic and I use it for touch ups with a light hand, so I'm expecting it to be something I don't have to purchase constantly.

Packaging also got a 4 because I'd rather they'd left the dopey sponge out altogether or at least put it in a bottom slot of some sort, but those are fairly minor complaints and other HE stuff tends to opt out of a mirror or any sort of applicator for the same price range, so I suppose I'll forgive it.

Altogether, though, I adore it. It's perfect and feels fantastic.

I was looking for a good foundation but I noticed that the liquid foundations didn't work really well on me because I have very oily skin. I went to MAC and tried the studio fix powder foundation and for some reason it after an hour I notice my face was completly shiny. I tried other drugstore foundation but I did not like them that much.

This foundation controls my oily skin for a good maybe 4 to 5 hours which for me that amazing. It feels really silky and I think it is buildable but you need to find the right brush to use with it.

Other reviewers wrote that this is expensive and I have to say maybe it is but if you find something you liked your are going to buy it again. I rather pay 25 than keep going to the drugstore like I was doing :(

This is my HG pressed powder. My second fave would be MAC Select Sheer, though it oxidizes and provides a little less coverage. This can be used as a powder foundation or as a setting powder over foundation. Since I like a completely flawless look, I use this to set my foundation. It gives it a soft, airbrushed quality. It also covers any redness or blemishes that still showed through the foundation. Now what I love is that this never oxidizes throughout the day!! I have very fair, oily skin and I absolutely hate coming home to see my face turn a most unflattering, greasy shade of pinkish-orange. (Which unfortunately, is the outcome of most MAC products) However the lightest shade, Cloud stays true to color and doesn't cake no matter how many times I apply it. This is a wonderful product!!

The powder itself, I guess is ok, but the color was not good for my skintone at all, maybe I was given the wrong color, but if I would have gone lighter I think it would look ashy, because the one I have made my skin look bronzey, like I had gotten a matte bronzer and brushed it all over my skin, I will have to return this because its no good for my coloring.

Origins really nailed it with this one. My biggest makeup trouble is a. finding a powder/foundation that matches my skin tone, and b. doesn't make my face erupt. I have Silk Screen in 08 "Cloud", and I couldn't be happier with it. I'd used this Origins line years ago with the Balancing liquid makeup, and after a few years making the foundation rounds, this still is the best. It's very light, is easily blended, and allows your skin to breathe. I can get through a 6 to 8 hour day with few touch ups. It is gentle on my overly sensitive skin. I'd feel comfortable SLEEPING in this powder.

I carry this powder in my bag for touch-ups throughout the day. It provides a beautiful matte, airbrushed finish, and it feels very lightweight, not cakey or heavy. I'm very pleased with this and will definitely repurchase.

great pressed powder to use for touch ups.

I have had this in my personal stash for a long time and just don't think about it -- it is that good. If I were thinking about it it would mean it was not delivering finish/cover.

I much prefer this over MAC's pressed powders as it is not cakey on application. It is silky and smooth and could be used as a foundation over a tinted moisturizer if someone wanted very light coverage.

The colors are very good and the price is moderate.

This powder is EXCELLENT. It does a great job of reducing the look of pores and leaves skin incredibly soft. I found that it provides decent coverage of blemishes and redness. I do have to touch up during the day, but I don't mind because it just feels SO GOOD on my skin. :)

This is by far the best powder i have ever used! I've tried them all from MAC to prescriptives.. just about everything and have never been quite satisfied. I love this powder, it gives such a flawless finish.. I wear it in Sesame 17 and am an NC40. I highly recommend this product if you are looking for that perfect powder. It has buildable coverage, but if you are very oily you will have too touch up more often, i am combination and touch up maybe once out of the day.

I could cry. This powder made my face look like pure silk. It gives a beautiful, soft focus look to your skin. This set my foundation perfectly and made me look airbrushed. It really does make your skin look soft and silky. I have super pale skin with pink undertones and Cloud matched me perfectly. I was so excited when I put this on today because it has to be the most flawless looking powder I have ever used (and I've tried them all). I thought I had just made the find of the century until I looked in the mirror an hour and a half later. I wanted to cry. My face was so oily that my foundation was beginning to oxidize and break down. I looked like a train wreck! It was so gorgeous when I first put it on, but even Cover Girl beats this for staying power. I am so disappointed! This powder would be perfect for people who have normal or combination skin, but if you are super oily like me, you may find yourself having the same situation with this powder. I have tons of powders in my arsenal and most of them give me at least three hours before they begin to break down. This turned on me in an hour! I looked like I might look at the end of a busy day where I didn't have much time to touch up (and it had only been an hour)! This is such a bummer! God I love the way this stuff looks, but it does me no good if it can't even hold up for a couple of hours! This would be perfect for a quick photo session or something, but it has no staying power at all. Oh how I hate having oily skin!!

Editing to say that I changed my foundation and now this powder works beautifully! I wear this over Lancome's Tient Idole Ultra liquid foundation (awesome stuff) and the combination keeps my make up looking fresh and beautiful for hours! I didn't want to give up on this powder because it softens the face so beautifully and makes you look airbrushed (not to mention the fact that Cloud matches my super pale skin which is no small feat)! Love love love!

I've had this compact for a couple of years, using it sparingly and only occasionally because it's somewhat expensive. In theory I love compact powder foundations, but it's hard to find ones that work on my skin, which is combination/dry/sensitive and very fair. When I first tried this on at the Origins store it was instant love. My skin was smooth and matte yet glowy, and the color "Cloud" was a good match for my skin. I don't relish spending much on powder foundations because I tend to use them up rather quickly. Despite the price, this was a rare find. I purchased it for special occasions, and used it sporadically. As such it found a home in the back of my makeup drawer, where less used products are kept. After a few months, I just forgot it was there and ended up not using it for about a year. Recently, after using up an entire compact of TBS All-in-one face base, I happened upon my old friend silk screen and tried it on again. This began a daily use stretch that has lasted for a couple of months. Well, I'm now almost at the end of this compact and am planning to replace it. I think it's a decent product, good actually.
In some respects I prefer this to all-in-one face base, as it appears smoother, silkier and more finely milled, and the color is lighter and therefore a closer match for my skin. The main problem is that the amount in the compact doesn't last that long; there is no separate compartment for the sponge, which encourages bacterial growth; and as someone else mentioned, there is a limited color range that excludes darker shades. It loses a point for this.

This does not compare to Studio Fix at all. It hardly gives me any coverage and does a good job of making my look cakey(Like i just smashed my face in a bowl of cake mix). The color selection does not work for me since i have strong yellow undertones. I would choose studio fix over this any day

Probably the best powder I've ever tried before mineral makeup. It has a broad color range and it covers the blemishes well. Actually, I love all the stuff from Origins.. LOL anyway, the BEST powder I've ever had.
