A great leave-in! I have curly hair 3b/3c and it moisturizes and enhances my curls nicely. It plays well with other products which is a big plus. There isn't a smell but I don't care either way and the price is affordable.

Hip hip, horray!! I'm so glad I found this randomly at whole foods. First, it's non toxic according to the skin deep database. Second, it works like no other I've tried. My hair is naturally curly, but I've done the japanese straightening AND just did a brazilian. My ends were kinda crunchy. My hair is fine but I have a lot of it. I put it in after washing/conditioning, let my hair air dry for a bit, then did my blowdry/flat iron routine. My hair is shiny. I can't believe it. And it doesn't crunch together when i squeeze it. YAY!! I just wish it were in a pump because I squirt too much out.

AMAZING! I have medium-thick, coarse, curly/wavy hair that is naturally frizzy and I home dye it to cover my grays - without any product in my hair at all I would just have a frizzy, undefined mess with curls at the very ends only. This stuff is magic! A thick, SILICONE FREE (there are some very old reviews on here that claim this contains 'cones - it does NOT), moisturizing leave in that does not weigh your hair down. It definitely helps cut the frizz and leaves a nice natural shine in my hair and nicely defines my waves and curls. I love that it rinses clean and you only need a very small amount to smooth through your hair. I saw it at Whole Foods but I ordered mine from iherb for about $8. I use this on gently towel-dried hair with Aubrey Organics Manderian Magic Jelly over it and I get lovely, touchable hair. You can also add a bit to dry hair, which I do on ocassion and it really keeps my curls smooth and shiny. It has no scent so if you are sensitive to that kind of thing, no worries here. LOVE!

I do really like this leave in, but there's something that keeps me from loving it. I think it's that it's fragrance free. Some people don't like to layer different fragrances on top of each other - I totally get that. But for me fragrance is such a huge part of what makes a product special to me. Other than that this is a really good leave in. It's thick and rich, yet leaves no residue on my super dry hair. My hair feels conditioned and my curls are defined. To buy or not to buy? Definitely do - but you'll be missing out on fragrance if you do.

My hair is somewhat dry and damaged from years of colouring. In the last year I have stopped dying but that hasn't stopped it from being frizzy and dry.
I hadn't used a leave in for years but I decided to get this one because of the coconut oil. I was reading up on it here on MUA but somehow could not find any near me. So when I saw the fourth ingredient in this was coconut oil I decided to give it a try.
I am so happy with it! I just got this last week and I can really see an improvement. My hair feels super soft now. I always want to run my hands through it. My frizz is not totally gone because my hair is wavy and that's just the way it is but there is quite a bit less. This does not weigh down my hair at all or make it feel greasy which is so nice. I haven't really noticed an improvement in shine but my hair was not dull before.
I will buy this again for sure. I just hope it will work as well for my frizz in the summer when it's humid.

In theory, this product would work well on my naturally dry, curly/wavy hair. However, it did not! It didn't contain the frizz at all and left my hair looking like a mess everytime I used it. The ingredients are really good though so I was surprised when it didn't work. I gave it many chances and it was a no-go.

Wow, so glad I found this product. I have color-treated, fine hair that is heat-styled daily. I am prone to oily roots and dry ends, so I'm always looking for a good moisturizing and detangling leave-in conditioner. I'd previously been using Kiehl's Leave-In but hadn't been able to get it when an unavailable ingredient led to a long backorder. I found this at Whole Foods, figured it would suck, but I got it anyway because of the relatively low price (less than $8 for a large bottle, compared to $33 for Kiehl's tiny bottle).

I have been pleasantly surprised. I love that this leave-in has color protection, and it doesn't weigh my hair down. My hair is very easy to detangle after rubbing this in, and it dries silky with no waxy/heavy feeling. I will definitely repurchase. I am thinking there was an old formula that some previous reviewers used. The new formula does not contain silicones, does contain coconut oil, and is light enough for fine hair with zero buildup. The new bottles do not say "Very Emollient", only "Alba Botanical Leave-In Conditioner, Advanced Botanical Color Protection"

This is very hydrating and contains coconut oil, which my hair loves. It doesn't leave any residue, smells tropical, and doesn't weigh my hair down. I like that it is natural and you get a big tube for less than eight bucks. Perfect for dry or curly hair.

The new forumla of this DOES NOT contain any silicone!

here are the ingredients:

Purified water, behentrimonium methosulfate, cetearyl alcohol, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil, vegetable glycerin, ceteareth-5, extracts of camellia sinensis (green tea), moringa pterygosperma seed, agave americana and trigonella foenum graecum (fenugreek) seed, certified organic extracts of althea officinalis (marshmallow) leaf/root, aloe barbadensis leaf, lavandula angustifolia (lavender), rosa canina fruit, melissa officinalis, calendula officinalis and chamomilla recutita (matricaria), panthenol, citric acid, potassium sorbate, phenoxyethanol.

I absolutely love this leave in! My hair is long, thick, curly and THIRSTY. My hair loves coconut oil so this product is wonderful. If your hair is dry or curly/frizzy check this one out. It's affordable and a little goes a long way. Really great warm weather moisturizer with quality ingredients.

A previous review stated this has silicone, which I didn't realize. But if the product worked well, I could live with a little of that at the end of the ingredient list. It falls short of expectation, however, being a tad heavy and dulling. It also seems to leave a residue and doesn't do much for my hair. I'm going back to my trusted giovanni direct leave-in, which I recommend as a leave-in.

Okay, so this is my first day using this product but I already LOVE it. I have very short, color treated hair and it has not felt this soft in sooo long- without the sort of slimy feeling I get from frizz-ease and other leave ins. My hair has been seriously tortured over the years so to have it feel this good after one wash is pretty astounding to me. It is quite thick so it also served as a sort of a styling cream as well and tamed my irritating cowlicks. I love the coconutty smell. 5 stars!

I have naturally curly, thick, long hair. This stuff is perfect for me! I use it everyday under gel to help combat the cold dry weather here. It makes my hair really shiny and its nice that it is fragrance-free. I will most likely be purchasing this again.

Ugh...it's too thick for my liking and does not agree with my hair, which is fine and thinning. I could see it working well for someone with lots of thick hair and for the price it's pretty good value. I used a tiny dollop but even that amount manages to weigh my hair down and leave behind a weird waxy/dry build-up.

I'm not sure why some reviewers complained about the smell, it's fragrance free! I'm a leave-in conditioner junkie and recently stopped using all hair care products with silicones. I shower at night and put this on after towel drying with a microfiber towel (awesome for curly hair!). For $12 I think it's a great leave-in. Going silicone-free takes some getting used to, but I am loving this product so far.

You're supposed to put this in your hair after washing and towel drying.
It makes my hair feel soft and detangled right away and I love the scent. I don't think I'll buy it again because it make my hair look a bit dull, I would like more shine. I suspect the wax in it attracts dust.

Very thick, very cheap leave-in...so far..so good. I rotate with Kiehl's and Jonathan leave-ins and this is far cheaper. It has dimethicone in the ingredients..so it is not cone-free, but this ingredient is about 7th on the list, so I wouldn't worry too much. Seems to provide good slip and make my hair smooth during the drying process. I'll bet it would be too much for fine or thin hair, but my thick, color-treated hair soaks it up.

I was pretty excited when I saw Alba had a leave-in conditioner. It has a light coconut fragrance. It made my hair shiny, but also made my hair tangly, oily, and grimy. I think you could find better leave-in conditioners else where, natural or not.

I love this! I have normal color-treated hair that is very prone to brittle ends and lack of volume at the crown. I use this every day as a leave=in to my ends and also comb through the back length of my hair that tends to get very tangled. This leaves my hair very soft, bouncy, nicely separated. It has been essential in keeping my hair long and healthy.
