i have this in both honey shimmer and the petal one. i haven't tried petal yet, but i love the honey shimmer. got this at my local big lots for $2. cute little pot(wouldn't have bought it at full price) the cooling sensation did not last long..maybe two minutes. it's a very pretty color and went on easy with my finger tips. it is very shimmery for those of you that don't like that. it's not the best eyeshadow base i've bought, (and i blame you MUA for getting me addicted to bases!) but it's definately not the worst.
pros-fits nicely in my makeup bag
application is easy
the cooling sensation is a nice pick me up at the end of the working day (yes i put on makeup before coming home sometimes)
cons-very little product, worth it at $2..but not at whatever the original price is i'm sure
the cooling sensation could be very annoying to sensitive eyes
not for those of you that don't like shimmery/glittery stuff.

i love love love this stuff! i really do, im lucky i found this at a discount store for around $4 bc i wouldve never tried this at full price! im so glad that i found it. ive been using a thin thin layer on my eyelid and spreading out w/ my finger to ensure proper blending & warming up to absorb into my skin. if u use too much it def will crease and if u top w/ powder shadows it will be too hard to blend but if used properly, it provides my lids w/ the perfect pinky/goldish undertones tint, a teeny tiny bit of sparkle but i find its not really on my lids. my shadows have stayed on for hours longer now. i do use elf $1 eyelid primer first or elf $3 mineral shadow primer and let sit, then i dab my finger into the jar and get a teeny bit onto my ring finger & dab smooth & blend out well. then i let it dry/soak in for a moment. ive yet to have any reverse reactions to the "soothing" sensation, actually i nevr really felt anything, ive even applied some to lower lash line and nothing was felt. so im not sure if i just never noticed or maybe since i only use a tiny bit?! either way, my shadows stay put all through work and longer until i clean my face. i was gonna save up for a mac paintpot but i changed my mind. im gonna use this from now on. i got mine in "petal shimmer" something like that and w/ my pinky pale complexion it looks great even used alone! i havnt triedit anywhere but on eye area so im not sure if u could use as a concealer underneath, i think its way to shimmery & color wouldnt be rit so, its my fav cream base ever! def recommend & will repurchase!

I bought this product for a couple of bucks in "Honey Shimmer" At Big Lots,, The Cooling Sensation Is Too Much Because It Stays All Day Which Can Make Your Eyes Feel Like They Are Watery The Color Is Nice And Shimmery It felt Too Much LIke A Mousse To use As A Base I like the Color Effect Because It's Natural Other Than that the Cooling Sensation Is TOO MUCH! Wish That It Didn't Have That

i have this in petal shimmer, but i don't use it for color. this is great for under everyday eyeshadows, not as good as a MAC paint pot, but it is cheaper. i started using this about a year ago, and at first i would apply too much, so my eyeshadows creased. but if you just barely cover your entire lid then it shouldn't crease. great drugstore find.

I got this as a stocking gift for Christmas and I love love love it! I have never used anything besides concealer or a cream eyeshadow for a primer, but this stuff works AWESOME. The mousse-like consistency is nice.
I've noticed some people have claimed that this product creases but I have oily eyelids and I haven't had it do so once. Maybe adding too much of it would cause it to crease, but really as a primer, you only need a tiny tiny bit.
As for the "cooling sensation", I usually feel it like 5 minutes after I apply it and it lasts for a minute or so. I don't think it's annoying or painful at all, but I don't have sensitive skin either.
Anyhow, like I've said I've never used UDPP or Too-Faced primers but I really feel that this stuff does it's job as a primer. Its super easy to blend on and makes my eyeshadow last all day.
I definitely recommend this product for anyone looking for a cheap eye-primer.

This is a great everyday product that I use to brighten my eyes. It does crease pretty quickly for me but it's cheap and the jar lasts quite a while.

I have this color in Honey, and I've worn it alone, and as an eyeshadow base. I absolutely love this stuff! It's my holy grail base, and cost about half the price, or less, than the popular eyeshadow bases at Ulta or Sephora. I love that it works nicely by itself, too, for a softer, subtle look. Whether alone or with another shadow, it stays on for at least 12 hours, and I've only had it crease twice. Both times were during the summer, in a very hot and humid environment, and at the very end of a long day/evening, and NO other eyeshadow bases ever last on me without eventually creasing. So, I can't blame the product at all.

As others have noted, the jar really does last a long time, and sometimes I'm worried that it will dry out between uses (I rarely wear makeup). So far it's been fine, but for longevity and convenience, I think I'd prefer it in a squeeze tube instead of a pot. It can be a pain to dig it out of the jar/pot when you're in a hurry. However, the texture might not be quite creamy enough for a squeeze tube, and I'd be very disappointed if they changed the consistency. (Any creamier, and it would crease on my oily eyelids). Maybe the best thing about this product is that, since it's sold in drugstores and at mass merchandise retailers, if you really hate it you can return or exchange it as long as you keep the sales receipt.

If you're looking for an eyeshadow primer that doubles as a shadow, this is worth picking up!

I own both the Petal and Honey shades of this, and I do prefer the Honey since I think it looks better with my skin. I love how smoothly it goes on. Sometimes I can feel the cooling effect, but not always. However, it is great for everyday work wear - gives enough color to look a little finished, but it's not overwhelming, and it only takes a few seconds to apply. It's a bit pricey, about $7, but one pot lasts forever.

I have dark eyelids and dark rings that make eye shadow hard to stay on me. I used Lancome's color dose as a base for years, but it was recently discontinued. This works amazingly! As good or better than Lancome. I call it my eyeshadow glue. I always us a powder over it. Never considered using it alone until I read all of this.

I love this stuff. I got a pot in petal shimmer, and I use it daily. I use this both with makeup and without. I think it looks great if you don't want to wear makeup but still want a fresh face. While it doesn't cover up dark circles, it really brightens my eye area. It looks natural and fresh, and doesn't crease. I also love the packaging - it comes in a cute little pot.

For me, the cooling sensation sometimes lasts 5 minutes, sometimes 15 minutes, and sometimes never happens at all. Maybe it has to do with wearing makeup over it? i don't really care about that anyway, I wear it more for how it looks as opposed to how it feels. I love the way this brightens my eyes and will definitely repurchase.

I really like Neutrogena Soothing Eye Tints very much.

It goes very well on my eyes with or without makeup & ES. It glides smoothly and nicely. It's really great when you are rushing in the morning becos it is so simply to use. Just pat the cream all over on the upper eye lids and that it's all "You are ready to go".

Definitely worth a try.

I have oily lids and it does crease, but im used to it because everything creases on me. Thats why i took off one lippie. Other than that i like the little jar it comes in. Its quick to apply and easy to blend in. The minty feeling only lasts about 10-15 minutes but it doesnt irritate my eyes. I bought both petal and honey shimmer and i like honey WAY more. I will be buying this again, it looks natural and its fast in the morning.

I have oily skin so I don't want to put on too much make up as it might clog my pores. I was looking for something that looks natural but at the same time brighten up my eyes little bit. I found this at Kmart and it was on 40% off for about $6, so I bought it in petal shimmer. I apply eye cream before i put it on and it goes on smoothly. it leaves a little shimmer on my eyes that brighten it up a little in a very natural looking way.

Then i bought the honey shimmer too but I think i like the petal one better since the honey one is too similar to my skin color. However, I still like using it. I use it with some maybelline taquila sand e/s on top. They together become a very good natual looking highlighter for my eye lids. The cooling effect does sooth my eyes a little although it doesn't last long and I'm not sure if it reduce any of my puffiness.

The thing i like about this baby the most is that, I have irritative eyes, and whenever i put on the e/s, the powder falls into my eyes and makes my eye water or even makes my lids swell a little. after putting this thing on, it holds the e/s powder for me and they stick onto my lids for a long time!

Although it's a little expensive but i think i'll repurchase it, since without it, i'm not able to put on e/s w/out getting my eyes irritated.

I bought this in "petal shimmer" & the color is very pretty, but the "cooling" action lasts about thirty seconds & did nothing for any morning puffiness -- it actually stung a little bit. Application was a little weird -- it felt "draggy" rather than smooth. Instead of fresh & dewy, I found this looked chalky on my eyelids, & it started to crease by mid morning. Way overpriced for a little pot, and what were they thinking putting it in a pot we're supposed to dip our fingers into & then smudge on our eye area? A tube would be much more hygenic. Definitely would NOT repurchase.

This is ok. It does cool...which is a weird odd feeling..but I thought it might be good since my eyes can be slightly puffy in the morning. I really can't see the color on my eyelid-I bought petal shimmer. There is a slight shimmer...but my friend couldn't even tell I was wearing anything. It does cover the blue veins that you can sometimes see on my eyelids..so I do like it for that. It would be good as an eyeshadow base. The only weird thing about it-to me it smells like hair dye...did I get a bad batch or is this the way it is suppose to smell? It's on my eyes so I can't really smell it, but I can smell it on my fingers after I have used it.. weird. I probably wouldn't buy this again. Too much money for something that seems to do a whole lot of nothing for me and has a funny smell.

I really liked the idea behind the product. I wanted something that I could use as a highlighter in my eye area, something to add a refreshed look. I liked the texture, but it was barely noticeable on my eye if at all, and it creased after a couple of hours. I have not tried wearing it under makeup yet, but at this point I think $12-something is a ridiculous price for this product.

Though I think the packaging is awful--why in the world would any company still think we'd want to stick our fingers into a tiny little jar--I like the product. I use it as a base and have no trouble with creasing, though I can't say it makes shadow last all day, it seems to help. It oddly cools at random times. I have used it one day and felt nothing, the next day it will feel 'cooling' for about an hour. I absolutely see zero point to cooling shadow anyway. I would repurchase but only at the half price (about 5 bucks) I paid for this one.

I should have known better than to put something "cooling" on my sensitive eye. It felt soothing for about 2 seconds, then burned. Plus, it creased faster than cheap eyeshadow on a bare eyelid. This stuff wasn't cheap either, and comes in an annoying little pot that's unsanitary and inconvenient to use. What was I thinking?! Will try to use this up as a face highlighter or I might try putting on my brow bone, although I fear that will be irritating, too.

i dont really use this as an eyeshadow but more like a primer. it's decent. enhances the color of my eyeshadow or i wear it alone as a low maintenance but shimmery cute color. Lasts on my face a long time, and the amount i use daily the pot itself lasts a long time. Somewhat "cooling" sensation but not irritating or necessarily soothing. The pot is very small and using fingertips to get to product doesn't work very well.
