Love this toner actually has lasting results, I have used natio toners before and find its only temporary. Smells beautiful and calms my skin it also doesnt sting which i notice alot of other toners tend to do. My skin feels lovely now with clarins! I have very dry sensitive skin and i get no redness it softens and fades my breakouts. Would definitely recommend a great soothing winter toner.

My skin is weird, it's smothing between very dry to mixed, plus acne prone. This toner didn't dry me out but broke me out and clogged my pores. Should have probably try the green one instead.

this product is absolutely great because firstly, it is alcohol free and smells incredibly great(for me), and secondly when i put it on my face it doesnt sting. makes my super dry and sensitive skin a lot softer and less dry spots! recommended if u have dry/sensitive skin!

i really like this product! I've changed up my skin care a bit lately because i felt like it needed a huge update. i don't know wether it is this particular product , but my skin has changed a lot. instead of looking dull and puffy (i get very dry skin in the winter) it now is hydrated and human looking! it feels great on my skin and i feel like it's made toning a crucial step in my skincare routine now. no irritation too! recommend it even for the sensitive gals

I tried a sample of this first as all toners make my skin sting except for Liz earle skin boost tonic so i was sceptical about this but since it has no alcohol in and contains camomile...this might actually be good. And yes it was amazing! It didnt leave my skin tight after a cleanse and smells so lovely and refreshing. I use it with the face oil and they work together. But i am SO relieved to find it so gentle and doesnt make my skin go all red like every other toner. Its perfect. Its on the pricier side for toners, but it does exactly what i want and does it well. So i can justify the cost. Packaging is simple yet effective. I think it could be used on all skin types as its non greasy and non drying due to being alcohol free. But most effective for drier skin types.

I love this toner. I have used it on and off for years but now am sticking with it for good. I havent found anything that compares to this product for my blemish prone skin.
Leaves skin fresh and feeling clean. Very gentle and non irritating to my blemish prone areas.

This is a good toner, but you can get the same quality for much cheaper with Witch Hazel. This was gentle on my skin and didn't make me break out.

I got this as a sample with purchase, it is really nice. Does not burn at all and is very gentle on your skin, unlike a lot of toners. It also smells nice and does not irritate the skin. I love this stuff, will purchase once I run out of the sample !

I initially bought this toner as a replacement for the more expensive Shiseido Skincare Hydro-Balancing Softener. They both cost ~$30 but you get 6.8 oz of Clarins versus 5oz of Shiseido. During the first 2 months, the product worked great. It kept my skin hydrated and prepped it for my moisturizer. All of the sudden, it really started to irritate my skin. My skin turned red and dry. I don't know if it was due to the change of season from summer to fall. I stopped using the toner for a week and my skin returned to normal.

I like to use this toner in the winter when my skin becomes dry from the cold. It smells nice and is very soothing. I like to apply with my hands rather than cotton. I just pour a small amount into my palms and smooth over my face.

I would certainly purchase this product again, although I have received so many 50 ml bottles of this (and their other dry/sensitive skin toner) over the years that I will probably never need to.
I used to use toners/astringents faithfully when I was in my 20's and my skin was oilier. But as I've got older and also, as cleansers have improved, I haven't felt nearly as much need. Still, there are times when my face doesn't feel as clean as I'd like or when I just need a "pick me up" and this toner does the trick. It is so mild and gentle but still seems to do a surprising job of picking up makeup and debris that some of my cleansers leave behind. This toner is so mild that you can use it around your eyes and I've even put it in the fridge to chill it and then put it on cotton pads to lay on my eyes - what a refreshing and reviving treat that is! I would definitely repurchase if my "stock" of freebies from Clarins's special promotions ever runs out.

The perfect partner for the Alpine herbs cleanser. Alcohol free. It leaves my face feeling cleansed and refreshed without making it feel tight, burnt and harrassed. Expensive but lovely.

Really great stand by toner that is alcohol free and nondrying. Probably not for those with oily skin but great for anyone who is even slightly dy. I always end up coming back to this product. It's only $20 and a bottle last for several months, plus once or twice a year they offer a value size that is double the product for only $30.

Started using this toner about 4 years ago. I used to use Clinique's 3-step toner but I have never realized that the strong alcohol content was bad for my face, so I was looking for a more gentle replacement.
This is the first Clarins product I tried and I must say that I am very impressed by it. I love their concept of natural herbal based skin care and this one is no exception. For $37 CDN (after tax), it is not cheap but one bottle lasts my about 5-6 months so I think it is terribly reasonable. It has a very soothing camomile scent that is very pleasant for me, and since it doesn't contain any alcohol, I just pour a small amount onto my palms and gently pat it onto my entire face and neck. It erases all the tightness after washing my face, and it helps to stabilize my enlarged pores.
The only thing I wish they would improve on was to include a pump - sometimes it is a little hard to control the amount it comes out but I am getting better at it, but still sometimes it gushes out. I also wish it could be a little more moisturizing but I think it is doing a very decent job.
I will keep buying this and recommend to anyone I know - definitely one of my HG products!

This is an awesome toner for any skin. It's gentle, but effective, with a slight botanical aroma that is natural and pleasing. I put a bit on a cotton pad and go over my face after washing, and before moisturizing, and it does remove the last bits of anything from the day. I transfer a little to a travel size bottle, because I find the screw off cap on this to be a pain. This is the only toner I have repurchased and it's not too expensive for a department store line. Most of Clarin's products agree with my skin. Not all HG, perhaps overpriced for what they are, and not the most "active" products out there, but perfect for me since I use retin-a, and try to keep most everything else very gentle.

At first, the scent was too strong, but I guess I have gotten used to it, because it now no longer bothers me. Thank goodness, because I love this. It is so gentle, I even use it over my eyes. No breakouts, my skin looks so balanced and healthy.

I bought this for my mum, she has dry skin.
She liked it, it really does the job. and the price is not very high.
The smell is good, and the texture is slightly thicker than normal.
Might get it again, but dont know when, Coz I like to try new things.

After realizing that I was using toners that were too harsh for my skin, I decided to be more gentle and thus hopefully lessen breakouts from irritation. I already am using some Clarins products and got this along with the Foaming cleanser with Shea Butter. I have to say, this is a very refreshing and non-irritating toner. It gets off any excess makeup without being drying at all. I love the smell, especially in the morning, it wakes my face up. I'm not sure if it does anything to helps minimize my huge pores because I'm using other products for that, but as a after cleansing toner, it's perfect for my finicky skin. I'm combo but slightly sensitive and dry in the winter. I'm not sure this will work for me when I'm more oily in the summer but for wintertime use, I'm very pleased with this and all my other toners have pretty much been put away.
For those who don't think toners do anything or are not necessary, let me tell you that after doing some studying on the matter, it can make a difference in your skin. After we cleanse our skin, our skin Ph balance is often unbalanced. A toner basically is the last step of cleansing, it's supposed to be refreshing to the skin. ts. By toning, you calm and balance your skin. this is a very good toner for those who want to tone but have sensitive skin. It contains no alcohol, so it's not drying in the least. I use this with a cotton ball at night before moisturizing and in the morning I just put some in my hand and splash it on my face since I don't deep have makeup removal as an issue. Since I starting using Clarins and being more gentle with my skin, my pores are smaller, my skin is more even toned and just generally a lot calmer and hydrated. My breakouts from using harsh products are finally clearing up. Yeah for Clarins!
And if anyone doesn't like their products to have fragrance, might not want to use any French made skincare at all. almost all of them have scent, it's a European thing. Clarins scents are natural and botanical, they are not synthetic, so people who cannot normally have scented products can often use their line.
