Really great DS shampoo for thick, frizzy, and very curly hair like mine! I love how it lathers fully and leaves my hair light and clean feeling with a subtle fragrance that reminds me of aloe and honey. What stops it from being my HG is that it can be overdrying if used more than a few times weekly. Overall, a solid buy for any hair type.

I always thought most shampoo's were just about the same-they clean. Always thought the conditioner was the important step to be picky about. I was wrong-this shampoo is useless.
It leaves this waxy type film in your hair. I've tried it with several different conditioners thinking they were the culprit and then got brave and tried without any conditioner. It's the shampoo. My semi- thick dry hair hates this stuff.
If you ever wanted to give a gift to an ex-friend, this is it-She will look like crap using this.

I'm still not quite sure how I feel about this product after using it for about a month, along with the conditioner. My issue with it is that my hair is VERY frizzy after using the pair no matter if I air dry or blow dry it. Also, my roots just always seem dirty. My hair is quite long, and dry at the very bottom, but my roots get oily unless I shampoo at least every other day. Using this pair, my roots are so dirty it's like I must wash every day, which I do not want to do at all. And use clarifying twice a week instead of once.
I will say I do love the conditioner. I have used it with other shampoos, and found it to make my hair feel nice and less tangled. So I'll use this up, and just find abetter shampoo to go with the conditioner.

I think this is a great shampoo. Does a great job of getting rid of styling products, leaves my hair moist and smooth, keeps my color from fading and makes it look thicker. I also use the Triple Moisture conditioner, and my hair hasn't felt or looked this good in a very long time.

My hair is dry from processing while my scalp gets oily by the end of the day. This shampoo made my scalp super oily after only an hour. I love the Triple Moisture conditioner, but not this shampoo.

If you have dry, course or damaged hair like mine (see my profile pic), this does a fine job of not stripping all the moisture out of your hair. It did not make my hair soft (that's the job of a conditioner) but it did not dry my hair out like some others. I had been frustrated with most shampoos as they made my colored hair very dry but triple moisture just makes sure your hair doesnot become straw like.
This shampoo has a cream like consistency & texture but lathers very well infact. My hair feels clean & moisturized. My only gripe with with this product is that it doesnot protect hair color. After I used this & dried my hair I noticed it had removed most of the hair color from my greys. All my grey's became noticable in one wash. So if you are looking for a shampoo that is hair color protectant or if you have a lot of grey's this might not work for you. For others I think this is a good shampoo regularly used this will not dry or damage your hair.

I have been using the Neutrogena Moisture Cream Lather Shampoo for about 2 months now, and must say it is one of the best drugstore shampoos I have used. When I'm in the shower I put about a quarter size amount in my palm, and massage it in my hair. I leave it on for about 2-3 mins. For me, that is the key. Besides moisturizing my very dry, mature hair, it seems to plump it up as well. The smell is pleasant, and the packaging is very good too. For me, it really has helped my hair. It is more manageable and soft. The price was under $10.00, and I would repurchase.

I wanted to like this more than I did, but it's still good, good enough for me to repurchase. I have very dry hair, and I guess I was expecting the Shampoo to do what my conditioner does, maybe that's unreasonable.
But at least this shampoo doesn't strip my hair of moisture! That's the main point! The price is decent, considering I use twice as much Conditioner as I use Shampoo anyway. Smell is nice, it doesn't do that great of a job cleansing, but my head doesn't get that oily or dirty, and I use the Neutrogena clarifying shampoo once a week, so it's ok.
Maybe if I find another moisturizing shampoo that has great reviews, I'll give it go. But for now, the pros of this shampoo definitely outweigh my slight disatisfaction with it.

this shampoo just doesn't work for me. i have normal-to-dry hair and after using this, my hair never feels clean. i wouldn't say it makes my hair oilier, it just doesn't clean it well enough. there's always a residue left behind. i've tried using a ton of it at once (like some people here recommended), using a small amount, and using my normal amount and i always get the same results. and everytime i'm washing it out, my hair feels very sticky. it does seem to work to some extent as the hair down the shaft seems cleaner, but in the roots it's still dirty. i've gotten through about 2/3 of the bottle and for the first time ever, i don't think i'll finish the bottle.

I'm giving this 4 lippies, even though it was too rich for my hair. I had a suspicion it would be -- I have fine, thin hair that tends toward oily, and in a pinch after a long-distance move I picked this up because it didn't look to have harsh cleansing agents, and because I dig the use of natural oils as moisturizing agents rather than silicone. Anyway, as expected, this was a bit too much for my wimpy hair. It got it clean and soft without stripping it, but the next day my hair was a wee bit greasy at the roots. Since I try to avoid shampooing two days in a row, this one is a no-go for me. I think it has good stuff in it, though, and I'd certainly recommend it to someone with medium or thick hair, especially if they needed a moisture-protecting shampoo.

So I have just finished my first bottle of this and am now on to my second. I have decided to repurchase for several reasons. One, because it is not drying on my hair. Two, because it actually cleanses. And three because it is easy on my semi-permanent color.
I can't bear not to use shampoo at least a few times a week on my curly hair; it just doesn't like not to be cleaned. It is always smoother, softer and less frizzy after it has been washed and conditioned vs. just conditioned. However, that being said, if it is a harsh shampoo or one that is drying over time, it gets ugly fast. I got through an entire bottle and have not experienced any negatives to this yet, so hopefully it stays that way! I can afford it and if it keeps my hair nice it'll be here to stay for me.
UPDATE: This ended up drying my hair after long term use. I may switch back to it eventually to rotate my shampoo, but for now I am no longer using.

This shampoo this great for my hair type. I'm African American with a lot of curly/kinky fine hair. When I brush it out it looks like a giant dry fuzz ball. But his stuff adds moisture and makes my hair more manageable. It's nice to finally find a shampoo that doesn't strip my hair. Thanks Neutrogena for this great product!

Price: A little bit more expensive than most drugstore shampoos (runs for about $6.99). Makes sense though, since it's a little more high quality.
Packaging: Meh. I don't like squeeze tubes. The plastic is kind of flimsy, too. Also, the cream-and-orange color scheme is bland, but not a total eyesore.
Consistency: Though a higher quality shampoo, it has the consistency of a runny-ish conditioner (think VO5). It's creamy and opaque, and pretty darn thick for a shampoo.
Scent: The fragrance is alright. It has a clean, creamy scent. Not exactly my fave, but it's not terrible. The fragrance is at the bottom of the ingredients list, which I like; HOWEVER, it can get pretty strong if you use enough. It slightly overwhelmed me.
Ingredients: The ingredients are lovely. Absolutely lovely. The good stuff- meadowfoam seed, olive oil, and sweet almond- are towards the beginning of the middle of the list. And HOO boy, do you feel 'em.
Performance: My initial reaction to this shampoo was "Oh no. This is NEVER going to clean my hair." I was kinda right. It does clean your hair, if you use exorbitant amounts of it. (Mind you, I have a longish, thick, dry head of hair, so it takes alot of shampoo to clean my mane anyway.) It's definitely a gentle cleanser, and explodes into lather. It lathered so much that I was rendered deaf and blind and everything in my shower was drenched in bubbles until I rinsed. It was kinda fun. XD Unfortunately, it made my hair a little sticky, but not disgustingly so.
Overall: A different shampoo experience. Neutrogena didn't strip my hair of moisture in any fashion, and surprisingly, for a shampoo, gave moisture back to my hair. It's wonderful for the cold, dry winter season. But what's shampoo without conditioner? To be continued...
(And that's your cue to read my review on Neutrogena Triple Moisture Daily Deep Conditioner. ^^)

Didn't like this stuff at all. It smells weird, it doesn't do anything different to my hair than any other regular shampoo, and when you get down to the bottom you have to squeeze it pretty hard to get any out. Just... no.

I said it in my review for the conditioner, and I will say it again. Triple Moisture is a drugstore dupe of Redken All Soft. It works almost exactly the same. And for anybody who thinks this doesn't lather or clean that well, I have no idea what to say to you. This foams up so much for me that nothing in sight is safe.

Left a residue and broke me out along my jawline (not normal for me), something that usually happens only if I use Pantene. No go for me!
