Love it. Very gentle, as promised. I have a sensitivity to some cosmetic items, including mineral makeup, but the Betaplex cleanser has never given me the slightest problem.
Though I have to supplement it with eye makeup remover, this cleanser removes all the makeup on the face without stripping. There is no "squeaky" clean -- just softness. I was having some uncharacteristic problems with adult acne-type breakouts when I started using this, and the problems went away without further treatment.
I like the smell very much. I would call it a soft green floral. I think that this product can go "off," at which time the smell isn't as nice. However, this bottle has been sitting on my shelf for well over a year without "turning."
I'm glad I gave this one a try.

Pros: Good that it's in a pump, need very little, has the biphasic acid thing going on with lactic and salicylic.
Cons: Potentially irritating for v sensitive skin, smells like insecticide - scent lingers requiring second cleanse with unscented product. Would not repurchase.

I have volatile skin, to say the least. This cleanser is very calming, cleansing and rejuvenating. I also use Laventine Olive Oil cleanser first, for easy Makeup and Sunscreen removal. I am not sure if this cleanser is worth the price, but I have not found anything better yet. Also, it replaced Laventine's discontinued Botanical Gel Cleanser. This is much better than the Botanical cleaner. Less irritating, and more hydrating.
Update: Stopped using, since it was irritating/inflaming any open wound or scratch on my face. Plus it is way too expensive for the amount that I use. I am now using Ellen Lange Mineral Cleanser; which is much more gentle.

this product is absolutely great! I've decided to try it after realizing that my other scrub cleanser was a bit too harsh on my sensitive skin, definitely a great quality item that I will make sure to keep purchasing!

I have normal to dry 50 year old skin. The cleansing milk cleans well, but does leave your face soft and smooth. I've tried lots of other expensive cleansers, but many of the ones for dry skin don't clean well and I start breaking out. I love the smell. Even though it is expensive I will keep buying it because it's the best I've found! Love it!

This is my new favorite cleanser for removing makeup at night. It takes off all my makeup ( I wear mineral foundations) and it does not leave my skin dry or flaky. My face feels so smooth and moist afterwards! I know the Stearic Acid will probably scare alot of people but I haven't had any problems with it. The smell is pleasant and the packaging is great ( a pump bottle). I apply it to a damp face and then remove it with a Simone France Disposable Cleansing Cloth, then I do a few more splashes for good measure.
I only use this at night...in the morning, I am doing a variation of the Simone France "Sandwich" (moisturizer, then scrub of some sort (usually Mir exfoliating gel or AquaDessa scrub), then soap...I'm using DayBreak Lavendar's soaps, then you take everything off with the Simone France Disposable Cleansing Cloth).
My skin has been super duper happy!

The second ingredient is oil, but even on my sensitive combo skin i do not break out. It smells fab, a light floral, and it is very gentle. i bought it because of the great reviews and I am very satisfied. I use a squirt on dry skin and I leave it for a few minutes like a mask. I leave it on because it has lactic acid, a mild exfoliate, in it. Then I massage some water on my face and rinse it off. I'm left with soft, clean, never dry, skin. I purchased it at Sephora for 30 dollars for a six ounce ( i think) bottle. Give it a try if you have dry sensitive, or even combo skin!

This is the most expensive cleanser I have ever bought, at £28. You can prolly get it cheaper in the US - I think $29. Anyway, seduced by the lactic acid and other skin refining ingredients in this I thought I'd give it a go. Previously I had been using DDF sensitive skin cleansing gel (ace!) and Caudalie's gentle cleanser (also v.good)... I didn't need to change but I read a report saying that in your 20's it's good to use AHA and BHA's (gently). Lactic acid is the only AHA I have found that doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Anyway, this milk is like an emulsion which becomes a rich cream on the skin and rinses clean off revealing a very soft and bright complexion. It makes my combo skin less oily and keeps blemishes at bay. Also removes all m/u without irritating eyes. So in short, one of the best cleansers I have tried.

Although expensive, this is one of those VERY good quality cleansing milks that reminds you why low prices and high quality skincare products don't always walk hand in hand. If you want good quality, you gotta pay for it, and unfortunately this applies almost every time you want to buy a skincare item. Cellex-C is known for its scientific formulas and its vitamin-boosted creams and lotions. I always felt intimidated by this brand mainly because of its high prices but one day I decided to give it a try anyway and see if these products were really worth their hefty price tags. I started by buying this cleansing milk and I loved it right away! I must mention that I already had a HG cleansing milk, which is the delicate milk by Helena Rubinstein. That IS the very best of all and still can't be matched but Betaplex comes very close to it. This one comes in a super convenient pump bottle. It has a subtle and pleasant botanical scent that reminds me of (I know it's strange lol), green bananas, when they're at that stage where they haven't completely ripened yet and still smell like a plant and are too firm and hard to eat. I find this scent very relaxing, therapeutic and pleasant. However, it doesn't linger on and on..it actually disappears in a matter of minutes, leaving your skin GLOWING!! What I love about this superp product is just that! It leaves your face feeling like SILK! Amazing really! Give this one a try, if you're looking for a good cleansing milk that will nourish your skin without leaving it greasy or with a sticky residue.
I've been able to notice an improvement on my skin. I see it brighter and definitely, much smoother than before.
