I had heard so many raves about LUSH's solid shampoos, and I loved the no packaging idea (I rated packaging quality at 1 because there IS no packaging, but that was a selling point for me), so I thought I'd try one out last summer. I'd been washing my hair daily (in cooler weather I usually wash every second day) and was worried that it was too much for my (very long) hair since shampoos have chemical ingredients, etc. When I told this to the SA she seemed surprised and told me my hair looked really good. Maybe I should have taken this as a sign but I bought Hybrid anyway. It wasn't the first product the SA recommended, but I have a lot of allergies and most of the other solid shampoos contained flower oils and perfumes that I'm allergic to, plus I thought a 2 in 1 would be convenient for daily washing. I don't usually use them but I thought this would be different since it was an all natural product, though when I got home I noticed that it actually contained some of the same chemical ingredients as the shampoo I'd already been using (Garnier Fructis).
The first couple of times I used Hybrid I thought it was fine- my hair was a little more tangle-prone but also felt lighter. After more uses I noticed my hair getting worse, tangling more and more, and the ends becoming a bit brittle and splitting more easily. This might have been better with the addition of a separate conditioner, but I figured if I was going to use two products I may as well go back to my previous routine since my hair was better before. I ended up chucking my Hybrid bar and going back to Fructis, which is probably nearly as "natural" a product as LUSH's (though Garnier does test on animals if this is something that concerns you). My hair is undeniably much better for it. There are some products from LUSH that I like but I don't think I'll be trying their haircare again.

My husband loves this so I stocked-up when I found out it was going to be discontinued. It lasts forever and conditions just enough. I love the solid shampoos because there's no packaging waste and they're easy to travel with.

I got this as a sample and I was a little skeptical at first. I have to wash my hair everyday because my roots get oily, and I thought the coco butter in this would be a definite problem. Luckily it was not, it works really well. The puck has really lasted, so it's economically friendly. The lather it produced was fantastic. And although I am not a fan of black licorice this really smells good! I don't know if I can say it made my hair healthier, but give it a try

Only shampoo puck I like. Didn't dry out my hair and conditioned pretty well. Getting more for my parents (their fave) before they sell out.

I love this shampoo. I have dry, fine hair. It cleans but it also moisturizes. I like the fact that it's a bar & not a bottle. I need to stock up! This has become discontinued.

I love this shampoo. It suds surprisingly well and the smell is one of my favorites! It really gets my hair nice and clean too.

LUSH shampoo bars are absolutly perfect. Not only do they work well but they last much longer the bottled shampoos and have no waste. They are also awesome for traveling, especially Hybrid because it has chunks of cocoa butter that acts as a conditioner :D

I love this shampoo! First off, the lack of packaging is totally awesome. Second, the smell is so fresh, just like black licorice. The shampoo lathers quite nicely and I only need two swipes for my shoulder length hair. For a while I was using this without conditioner (I didn't want to mask the licorice smell), but I found that my hair was starting to dry. (My hair tends to be oily at the roots and dry at the ends.) Lush should start making conditioner bars to match the smell of the shampoo bars! The bar is also great for travel, just wish the travel tin was a little bit bigger so that you don't feel like you need a crowbar to get the puck out of the tin.

Hybrid(Puck)- this lather up so wonderfully, left my hair soft, without extra conditioner needed, and has the wonderful licorice smell from my beloved Bertie Soap.

I loooooove the shampoo bars!
There's no "clumps" or funny stuff in it (as there is cinnamon, seaweed, flowers and stuff in some of the others), and it lathers up very much - me likey! :D
Really gives shiny hair, but you can't go without conditioner on this one...
The smell is amazing too - liquorice! :D

First off, I HATE licorice but I had to try this so I can know what to tell the customers on a first hand level. Luckily, the scent does not stay in your hair. Great for me but not those that would love it to! :p
Product wise it is an awesome 2in1 shampoo. I've used Godiva before and had to use conditioner but with Hybrid I did not. It left my dry- ended hennaed hair silky, soft and shiny. And for that I love it.
So why would I not buy again? For the sheer fact that this is not for those with oily roots and using Hybrid is great if I would shampoo daily but I wash my hair every other day and my roots are so greasy the next day when I used Hybrid. This would be wonderful for someone with dry hair all over.

I have to be really careful what shampoo I use because my scalp is even more sensitive than my face. Although I quite often react to Lush products I wanted to try this because it smells wonderful ( like liquorice) and I knew my husband would use it up if I didn't like it. Luckily I liked it, it doesn't annoy my scalp and it makes my thick ,wavy hair feel reasonable. I do use an extra conditioner but my hair is long. The only real problem is that its a bit awkward to store once you've used it because its quite sticky ,it needs its own little soap dish ideally. I have re-purchased and notice that it does vary from batch to batch in depth of colour and fragrance.

This was the second Lush shampoo bar that i tried at the time & i really disliked it. I bought it because i really wanted to cut out the conditioner step in the mornings. My issue w/this bar is that my hair never felt clean after using this. It left a residue on my hair which left it looking greasy. I also thought the licorice smell was too strong, and out of all the shampoo bars I've tried, it lathered the least. I love the idea of a shampoo bar, but just not this one. I've since discovered Karma Komba which I love.

This shampoo bar was a disappointment. My husband and I bought it to take on our honeymoon. Since we were doing "backpacks only" for a two-week international trip, the more space we could save in our ziploc baggies, the better. A 2-in1 bar seemed optimal. Boy were we disappointed! My favorite Lush shampoo bar is "New!" so I was excited to try this. Let me preface this by saying that I have fine, blonde, poker-straight hair and my husband's is thick, curly, and chesnut colored. We both concurred: Not only did it not it feel like we had residue left on our hair after using it (and we did try it again when we got home, so it wasn't just the water quality or pressure), but the smell of licorice was too strong for both of our tastes (and my husband LOVES licorice).
All in all, I'm passing on this Lush product and won't be purchasing again.

Yes, I probably would buy this again, for summer use, this Hybrid soap black and white in color, cleans like a couple of the bar shampoos i tried already, i tried the pink bar which is called "Hard" soap, and the blue bar is the soft soap, both individually made for Hard or Soft Water, well, i got the hard water soap which is the pink bar shampoo, Not bad, but I think both of these two i got "Hybrid and the Hard water Pink bar shampoo soap," both work the same, both cleans well, i havent noticed any fragrance in them, but,Yes, i possibly would buy this soap, made my hair feel soft, clean, great for summer i would recommend!!!

The first few months I used this shampoo bar, someone could easily tell that I didn't use conditioner. But now that I am close to finishing it, my scalp gets itchy the next day. I used Hybrid as a soap the other night and my skin felt moisturized, so it is obviously the cocoa butter that is bothering my scalp.
The only thing I like is its licorice fragrance.
I like the concept of a 2-in1 solid shampoo, but in reality Hybrid doesn't make my life any easier. Will not repurchase.
On an off-topic note, Hybrid looks a lot like a white chocolate cookie the more you use it. Couldn't help but share this!

My hair gets greasy very quickly so I wasn't sure about using this- it being both shampoo and conditioner. But this leaves my hair soft and clean, not at all greasy. I love the smell too, it's a pity it fades away so quickly.

Love this. It's great for days when you're in a hurry and not sure if you want to condition your hair or not. Hybrid creates a perfect balance of shampoo and conditioner. It gives an abundance of lather and lasts for months. The smell is that of licorice, which normally I don't care for, but in this situation it's quite pleasant. A must-try for people on the go.

This is the my first solid shampoo and I really like it!
I have very fine hair. This bar leaves it light, clean and shiny.
And it lasts soooooo much longer than normal shampoos.
I recommend this and I will definitely buy again!
