I bought this along with a few other colors when the ulta eye shadows were on sale for $2 each. I bought it because I thought it was pretty, but it's become a favorite when I want to do a dark, smokey eye. It's glittery without being too obnoxious and although I've heard some people have had issues getting theirs to blend, mine does fairly well. It may be an issue with batches? In any case I love the ulta brand eye shadows and am very happy I got this.

I can see how this resembles MAC Black Tied and with that being said I really dislike this eyeshadow & the MAC version. It has a ton of fall out and the color faded quickly. Ulta eyeshadows are awesome but this one is no good for me.

This is a great inexpensive find! Pretty intense creamy black w/ micro multi-colored sparkles. This is a dupe for UD Oil Slick, MAC Black Tied and WnW Greed Palette (the shimmery black on the bottom). This is a must have for anyone that loves black smokey eyes. Richly pigmented and buttery soft. A plus if you catch an Ulta BOGO sale!

Galaxy my love! This is my perfect black shimmery eyeshadow for a smokey eye look for partys, club nights out.i own both galaxy and oilslick by u.d. And i perfer galaxy over o.s. Its much smoother and easier to blend..imo oilslick is a little to hard to blend.idk..but Galaxy is definetly my favorite black ever.highly reccond this to anyone whos looking for a cheaper versions of oilslick or mac black tied.i got it for 3$ when ulta had a 2 for 6$ deal going on.will definetly repurchase this.

I love galaxy for creating a dramatic black smokey eye. The touch of glitter is nice and creates a nice shimmer. I haven't experienced a lot of fallout but I use Too Faced Shadow Insurance as a base.

Galaxy is such a perfect name for this color. The shadow is rich black with silver flecks of glitter running through it. A little goes a long way. If you don't like glitter, this color isn't going to be for you. Its a shadow I have found I really need to apply a sticky base (like NYX jumbo pencil in Black Bean) before patting on the shadow. Otherwise, glitter falls from the shadow through the day, lands on your cheeks, and you'll be left with a satin black shadow and sparkly glittery cheeks. The glitter isn't chunky...its very fine, but is loose in the shadow. I really enjoy this black, though. I normally only wear matte blacks, so this is a nice switch up from time to time. In the pan: NET WT 2.85 G/0.1 OZ. It goes on nice and smooth as well. I would recommend this color to anyone that likes a shimmery eyeshadow.

I just bought this eyeshadow today after watching a tutorial on youtube. I was not going to spend $14 ( MAC's Blacktied) on a shadow that I wasn't going to use everyday. So I went to Ulta and I'm glad I did. Galaxy has great pigmentation, just the right amount of glitter, and is overall a very good eyeshadow. The glitter isn't chunky, but can still be seen on your eyes. I only did one eye tonight, I was practicing my New Year's Eve look for a party. I'm excited now to do the whole look tomorrow night.

Galaxy blends easily and is very opaque. I know the shadow appears very sparkly in the pan, but I don't notice it too much on my lids (when just drawing a line above my lash line). I would buy Oil Slick by Urban Decay before I purchased Galaxy again, just as a matter of preference.

This is my favorite black eyeshadow. I love the glitter in it. I use it on my lid to get that dark black eye look. I don't use it as a liner though too much glitter for that. The staying power is wonderful. I like ulta brand, they are good products that are affordable. In my opinion they are better than NYX.

It is so so pretty :). The name goes well with it. There is a little shimmer fall-out with this shadow, but it's still really nice. I love how it shimmers in the light. so if you like a lot of shimmer, then you'll love this. very spacy :D

Ah Galaxy, you are my newest black eyeshadow bff! This applies smooth, shimmery, and with little to no fallout. It is a hit or miss with some of the Ulta colors out there, but the new formula shadows are amazing! I would call this a soft-black with high shimmer, almost like a frost. Of course this is Ulta's housebrand of makeup. It is normally $6.50, but it's almost always on sale. Pick it up, you won't regret it!

Inspired by the photo for this review, I bought this shadow and I'm glad I did. After running out of my old Bonne Belle black glitter eyeshadow (which came in an quad) I've been searching for a full size replacement. This does the job. It's not as silky, smooth, or pearly as I'd like, but the pigmentation is good and its blends easy. It does have some fall out but I've seen lots worse. I used this along with Silk, and Sandstone for a pearly smokey eye and it was beautiful.

I really wish ULTA made an empty palette for their full sized eyeshadows! urgh!
On the bright side, this is a high-quality shadow with wonderful pigmentation and lasting power, all for a reasonable price!
For a matte smokey eye, I use MAC Smut, but for a shimmery smokey I always, always, always use Galaxy.
You can apply this very sheer in the crease or outer V for some definition (very easy to blend) or layer it on for a more glam and dramatic sparkley smokey look.
This shade blends great into other colors and I love using it for "colorful smokey" looks.
One con though is that sometimes the glitter can fallout so be careful!
Overall, highly recommend!

I absolutely LOVE this eyeshadow!!! It's a true black with tiny silver shimmer in it. It's great for eyeliner or for contouring. Amazing. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a bit of shimmer in a black eyeshadow. The price was AMAZING! Ulta's eyeshadows were 2 for $5!
Definitely would buy this again!

If you're looking for an inexpensive black shadow with a hint of sparkles, then this is the one for you. It's pigmented and there's a ton of product. It's not as sparkly as it looks in the pot so if you want something very sparkly, skip this. It is a bit gritty though so it's great used as a liner. Ulta has BOGO sales all the time..I believe I paid only $3-$3.50 for this shadow.

I love this shadow! Grabbed it during their BOGO sale, and was super happy that I did! It's jet black, with tons of sparkle in the packaging...in fact, I was a little scared when I saw exactly how sparkly it was. But, when applied, it's just a nice black with maybe a dash of shimmer. I use it wet as eyeliner whenever I'm craving the smokey eye look. It has GREAT staying power. I put a thin line of it on my upper lashes the day after I got it just to "test out" how long it would last...and it was still PERFECT at the end of the day...no smudging or fading! I will absolutely buy it again, although since I'm just using this for eyeliner sometimes, I think it will last me FOREVER!

I just grabbed this during Ulta's 3 for $10 sale. I couldn't be happier. This is my first step into the world of Ulta shadows... And I can't wait to run all over it! The quality can't be beat for the price. They glide on super smooth jst like brands that cost three times the price. The pigment is great and (so far) they seem to stay very true to color.
Galaxy is a true, deeply pigmented black with a glitter. In the pot it looks hella glittery, mabey even OTT. But once it's on, it calms to a nice sexy sparkle. Nothing ridiculous. I was pleasently surprised. It's a very wearable color. You don't look like you came straight to work from the club.
