Initially it goes on with a nice finish. But after a couple of hours it becomes really shiny and greasy. Worst of all, it makes me break out in pauples every time I use it.

I have oily skin and surprised that it lasts all day. I nice coverage and natural look. It's more expensive than DW, but it's lighter.
Edit: Not an all day finish without a touch up.

I went out and bought this product yesterday, as i needed a quick normal day wear foundation. I Have so far used Mac, Prescriptives And mary kay. ALL which are Fantastic. But i thought id give a try to another one. And treat myself after getting paid! Invested in one of these.. must say very pricey!! I am an asian lady. And i find it very difficult to find a foundation to match my skin, as i have a hint of yellow. Most foundations just look too pink or too dark! I was amazed when this lancome one matched my skin. But did notice it did not cover all my marks which i have. But after applying again it covered up well.

this was an ok foundation. not better than lancome photogenic though (which does everything for me like covers, glow, doesnt look to heavy, or look like foundation, and great for picture taking.

I used to wear this foundation years ago, and just found out it has been discontinued, but you can find plenty of color id foundations on ebay
I can't remember and negatives issues I had wit this foundation, but since I purchased it I assumed I liked it enough, oh and it was a good color match as well
anyway it has been replaced with color ideal
anyway I will purchase it now off of ebay

At first I was extremely sad this was discontinued, as it was my HG foundation... but as time went out I found a much better (similar) product in Prescriptives Virtual Skin... so if you're bummed this is no more, look to that.

I had a bridal consultation at Dillards, and we discovered that III-30 (N) was the perfect match for my skin tone. I have never worn a foundation, but what better excuse will I have other than my wedding to buy a ton of new makeup. I love the lighweight feel of this foundation, and the sheer coverage it provided was great since I didn't really need it anyway. I apply the Dual Finish powder after this, and they are the perfect combination. The SPF 8 that's in it may make the skin too shiny for those with oily skin. I've only worn this a few times since our wedding, but I haven't been disappointed yet. The glass bottle is nice but out of place for a liquid foundation. I will purchase this again if I ever have another huge event where I feel foundation would be warranted.

I have an olive yellow base skin and i use II-20W and it works great because the color matches my skin! I have been using this for about 4 years and have tried other brands but this looks best onThey have a great selection off colors for warm and cool tones.

Finally there is a Lancome foundation I dont like. Thank goodness, I was starting to think Id become this brand loyal zealot with no standards since I like everything else of theirs. But sadly this foundation offers very little coverage, is very sheer, and made my face very oily. I like Lancome's color selection especially with this foundation but I wish they made these many shades in Teint Idole which is a far superior foundation IMO since you can sheer it on with a sponge and it stays much better than this and gives a little more coverage too. Overall color ideal as not for me but as always everyones needs are different. I would not recommend at all for oily skins like mine.

This was one of the greater regrets of my life. My mother in law only shops at Lancome because she doesn't know any better. She wanted to buy me foundation for my wedding and insisteted we go to Lancome because in her opinion, it's the best. I'd never had good foundation at this point. I'd only had Revlon Color Stay Active, which I knew in my heart was better, but could $30 difference be wrong? Yes.
Looking back at the pictures now, I have full regrets. Yes, I was radiant. But, my dears, I could have been a tad more so and a tad dewier I believe. My skin appeared flat in photos, to me at least. IN fact, my currect regimen of Maybelline Instant Age Rewind and Vichy DermaBlend on the problem spots is a thousand times better than the Color ID formula. This foundation has little to it; little coverage, little colour boost, little to offer the skin in the way of vitamins and SPF and little in the way of light reflecting properties.I put this away after the wedding and handed it off shortly afterward.

I just found the sample bottle of this I got from a Lancôme counter, and recalled my experience trying it. I tried it more than once, and every time I got the same result--it was certainly the right color, which I have a hard time finding, but it had *no* coverage whatsoever, of anything. It didn't make my skin look better, or cover any blemish. I might as well have not put it on in the first place--so that's what I started doing.

i absolutely love this foundation. i've always loved lancomes foundations. i have the I 20. for a while they did away with it and then they brought it back. it goes on sheer but gives good coverage. it also has a little spf so thats a great bonus. it is good for combination skin which is what i have.

I love this foundation, cause its lightweight (hate havy make up, feels like I'm wearing a mask). It blends nicely with my skin, my face feels very soft and does not dry out (like with other foundations).

I am a PPP and am lighter than NW-15. In other words, I am very, very pale with cool undertones. I like being "porcelain" and make the most of it. I have a tendency to break out with heavy makeups and I am very sensitive to chemicals/scent. However, when I am using the right products and my skin is behaving, I am fortunate enough not to need heavy makeup. I just need something to even out my skin tone, since every little blemish or discoloration shows up on my paper-white skin. I have found it extremely difficult to find foundations that are sheer to moderate, don't make me break out, and also match my skin tone. Color ID is my HG.
POSITIVES: Color ID's lightest color, I-10(C) is a beautiful match for me. I also love that it is a liquid, not too creamy, and glides on so smoothly for a nice, dewy finish. I always start with a high SPF moisturizer underneath and end with loose powder. Color ID evens out my skin tone and doesn't cake too much. It has a nice slippery wet feel when applying, and can be layered for light to medium coverage. I use a concealer by Estee Lauder for under my eyes and over blemishes (the lightest Lancome concealer is still too dark for my skin tone).
NEGATIVES: There is a slight fragrance to this foundation, but it doesn't last long and I barely notice it. That's saying a lot, coming from me, since I typically hate any scent. I guess the coverage doesn't last until evening without a little touch-up of powder, but I'm not sure there's a foundation that would. The glass bottle is annoying in design and quality, but I use a Q-tip to get the right amount out and not contaminate the rest in the bottle. None of these negatives concerns me much since I love the foundation generally.
The other negative reviews must be from people with different needs than mine. Everything else I've tried seems too greasy and thick or doesn't match my color (too orange or yellow). I am buying extra bottles because I read a review saying its replacement (Color Ideal) doesn't glide on with the same silky feel. I guess I will try Color Ideal once my extras run out. If you are a very fair PPP looking for a foundation that is sheer to moderate, I think Clinique has a similar foundation (Perfectly Real) that comes in some nice pale shades. Estee Lauder's Individualist is also worth a look. In my opinion, most of the others recommended on this site for very pale skin tones are somewhat thick, oily, and/or heavily scented.

I recently switch to liquid foundation since powder no longer cuts it. But this foundation didn't either. Like others said, the coverage isn't very good and it only lasts for a couple hours. It didn't blend smoothly onto my face and came out streaky. The bottle is convenient in that it has a pump, but it's glass. I'm not the most graceful person and I broke the bottle when I accidentaly dropped it!! Thank god it was at the end anyways...

I love this stuff! I have a sample of it and it makes my skin feel soft, it covers my red undertones, it gives great coverage and lasts the whole day for me. I just did a test with this and Mac Studio Fix Fluid and Lancome worked best for me. Mac left my skin feeling dry and cracked almost. I just hate how Lancome is so expensive but it's worth it! My sample is even a bit darker than my skin (I'm a pale lady here) and it still blends so well!!

very light coverage doesn't stay on very long and hard to reach to the bottom of the bottle. im not crazy about lancome's products because l'oreal is the same. the color match fond. would be equivalent. when i worked as a makeup artist for clinque the lancome shipments came in l'oreal boxes. everytime lancome comes up w/ something new so does l'oreal and the name is almost the same.

I really like this foundation. Its sheer, pretty and really easy to blend with a foundation brush. It was a toss up between this and Chanel Teint innocence - i bough this because it was $40NZD cheaper. So glad i did, you can build the coverage (i like mine a sheer - medium coverage) and the colour is never wrong. So happy with this as i was using a clinique matte one and that just went sooo wrong on my face!! loving it! its best if you apply this with a foundation brush.
