Beautiful berry with a hint of light floral.. reminds me of something from my childhood that I cant quite grasp. My favorite scent for spring, and one of my top favorites from BPAL.

Soapy, soapy heather with just a hint of berry. Wayyy to soapy, which makes me sad, because Glasgow is one of my favoritest places on earth. Still, it does smell quite purple.

Romantic, wistful, evocative, Glasgow is a Scottish meadow on a sunny day. Tart blackberries and mistiness come together to form something utterly beautiful. Unfortunately, it fades fast and does not have a lot of throw. If it did, I would love it so much more!

In the bottle, this smelled like the description, blackberries. On me, this smells exactly like a baby wipe. Blucky!!!!

This is a refreshing herbaceous blackberry. Not quite what I expected, but very nice indeed.

Wanderlust ~ The rich scent of wild blackberry breezing over gentle rosy heather.
Glasgow is mostly tart, slightly sugary blackberries with a hint of a sort of green floral. The green floral is probably the heather, but I can't really discern it as that as I've seen a lot of heather, but not had the chance to take a sniff! It dries down to blackberry soap and freshly washed clothes, which is nice, but doesn't really grab me.

Glasgow is a berries-and-floral scent on me, with a hint of green grass underneath. I have never visited Scotland or smelt the moors, but this is exactly what I imagine they smell like. There is even a hint of wind about this scent, somehow. I love this scent - it's very evocative, but gentle.

Very delicate and beautiful. The heather gives an almost herbally floral scent, and the blackberry sweetens things up just enough. Very nice! Perfect for enbling those who might not like the heavier or incensey scents BPAL offers. This would be unlikely to offend anyone, and would also be appropriate as a gift, even for a young girl.

A beautiful scent, of raspberries and a light floral (heather, presumably). This is fresh, and reminiscent of the outdoors, without being overly sweet or too fruity. The floral and the berry balance each other perfectly.

Well I'm afraid I don't know what heather smells like (sadly...all my childhood I devoured Enid Blyton books, and I've always wanted to play among the plant that the Famous Five and other scores of children adventurers made their beds and pillows out of when camping out on moors) but I do know blackberries, and I'm fairly certain I do not smell any in this. Instead this is a vaugely herbal/medicinal smell -- reminicent of lavender, but more green and earthy. Reminds me of the scent of a Crabtree & Evelyn store.

I had high hopes for this one, as a big fan of Scotland, and BPAL has not let me down! This is sweet but not oversweet, calm, thoughtful, feminine but not "girly", and slightly wild. The mix of notes puts me in mind of blackberry jam enjoyed in a forest, with a freshly laundered blanket to sit on and a bouquet of wildflowers nearby. I also envision gray skies and a cool breeze, but maybe I'm just suggestible, thinking of Scottish weather. I feel soothed when sniffing this. Loses some excitement in the drydown, but still: Yum!

To me this is a slightly sweet heather. Beth provides the perfect name and description for this! Based on sniffing my wrist alone, you can just envision a bunch of heather blooming near some craggy hills in Scotland. I like this a lot, its a really nice casual Sunday relaxed fragrance perfect for lounging around, reading the paper and of course smelling really really nice.

From the Venerable Cities collection - The rich scent of wild blackberry breezing over gentle rosy heather.

Sniffing the bottle, I was worried about the possibility of one of those gel-cone-things on the back of my grandmother's toilet being the result, but her bathroom should smell so good. It's hard to write this review from the floor, where I'm busy twitching in complete ecstasy.

For Easter last year, I bought potted heather plants and gave them to my then in-laws. My mother grew up in eastern Oklahoma, and we often go pick blackberries when we visit my grandmother. This is the perfect combinaton of fields of what that heather, along with baskets of not-too-ripe blackberries and a few of their crushed leaves, would smell like.
