I have nothing good to say about this product, unfortunately. It smells awful, it dried out my skin AND broke me out. I gave it a chance, thinking my skin would become accustomed to it, or maybe my skin was going through a bad phase, but no--it was the soap. After giving up on using it on my face, I tried to use it as a body soap--I got a huge pimple on my back and my LEG of all places. Yeah, my skin hated this stuff.

I love this bar because it's not drying, and since it's winter I need all the moisture I can get. I use the basic five line for normal skin, and my daily routine also involves the Arcona reozone 40 sunscreen. My only complaint is that I'm not sure just how effective this is at removing the sunscreen- when I wash once, I can still see the reozone stuck in the pores on my nose, so I have to go back in and use the bar on my face again. Besides that, the herbal scent takes some getting used to. To me, it's bearable because the scent goes away but it might bother some others. I'm just not sure if I would repurchase this bar- I love it because it's not drying, but having to go back and wash my face again just to remove the sunscreen makes me ehhhhh.

The price was a real cringe, but sometimes on online beauty stores you can get the bars for 30 dollars instead of 38 dollars. Not much, but some. Anyway, I've only used this for 2 days, so nothing major yet. I've been having a bit of a dry spell (probably not the best time to use this product), but it hasn't dried out my face so far.

Pros
- I like the bar form! I wet my clarisonic brush head a bit, swirl it into the bar, and rub a dub dub.
- Smells sooo good, very earthy/natural

Cons
- Has that weird soap feeling after washing, not sure how to explain..

Not much to add, since it is only the second day, but updates will be added! P.S. I've only been doing this at night, as suggested by a few reviews here to only do it once a day.

**UPDATE 4/23/2012**
I use this product when I double cleanse. It removes a majority of my makeup so I can deep cleanse my skin in the next step.

I have been using the Toner bar at night with the Raspberry bar in the morning. The Raspberry bar alone served as a non-irritating basic cleanser that prevented breakouts. The Toner bar which I added with my new Raspberry bar made all the difference! The smell is nice and earthy, like incense. I think its actually refreshing to have a scent other than flowers and fruits. Reading other reviews, I wonder if you need to start only using it once a day like I am, and if it works, use it twice. My skin is about 3/4 the improvement I was looking for, and maybe if I switched out my morning Raspberry bar with this, I could be 100% clear and 150% satisfied!

I've been using this product along with few others, and i'm very happy with it, trust me from a person who been to 6 dermatologist, and from 4 of them to say they have no idea what's wrong with my skin. I have whole face ( excluding my nose, forehead and cheeks ) cover in microcomedones and no matter how many facials i had ( btw it took 2 hours to do my chin and still half wasnt out!! ) no matter how many products i used ( and i used a lot ) even tried retin-a and just dried me out and made it worse! I do love my clarins products they got my skin to normal pH balance, but it didn't help with the problem until i tried this stuff now i have super oily t zone i wipe it every 30 mins! but my cheeks are on a dry side and i got this toner bar along with acne bar i use the tones bar at night and acne bar at day time not to over dry my skin, after washing my face i do use toner from clarins ( the chamomile one for dry skin ) to hydrate it after cleansing hydrate the skin pretty good, once it dries i apply the arcona Am acne lotion ( yes its a bit sticky but after 10 minutes u wont even feel it on your face ) at night i use "the solution" and if it feels dry i use bit of am "acne lotion" and on some nights i use "night breeze", once a week i use tea tree mask ( don't forget to exfoliate this will take some dryness away ). Let me tell u in the past month and 1/2 my skin changed dramatically! the bumps almost gone i do have some left on my chin and jaw but very little compare to what it was, the redness is gone and my pores on nose and forehead are super clean! I believe everybody needs to find the product thats suits them, and give everything they try atleast a month, understanding that it might make you break out for a week or two ( i was breaking out for 2 weeks ) but after it my skin is glowing. I'm glad i gave it a try, even though some reviews threw me off.

I was a little nervous about using a bar with my sensitive skin that gets dry, but I am so glad I tried this. I use the toner tea bar, magic white ice, cranberry gommage, daily dew, and gentle solution. It gets rid of make up and cleans out the pores. I think the container is great too. I think it will last really long. (so far it has been about 5 weeks and it hardly looks like i made a dent in it.
update: this bar worked great for me in the summer/fall but I had to switch to the Berry bar for sensitive skin when winter hit. My skin was just too dry after the weather changed. I may buy it again in the summer.

This product really dried my skin out...after washing, my skin felt so tight and dehydrated. It made my skin look weathered and crapey. Maybe it would suit very oily skin better. Much too harsh for my skin.

So I decided to try the Berry Fruit bar for sensitive skin. This dried my skin too(though less than the Toner Tea bar) and left it a bit splotchy with reddened irritated areas(especially near my eyes).

I have had more success with Arcona's liquid white tea cleanser--no more bars for me!

Broke me out and irritated my skin. Loved the idea: all natural, packaged nicely. But it didn't work for me. My husband is using the leftover bar, and he loves it. Might work for some, but I'll never use it again.

After using this product for 2 weeks, my pores suddenly clogged and I started breaking out. I have combo skin, but I usually have no problem controlling it as long as I cleanse twice a day. I was really surprised to see clogged pores on my nose, as that rarely happens! I really wanted to like this product. I think I'll try their berry fruit and raspberry bars and see if that makes a difference. Also, it smells and looks exactly like Old Spice deodorant. It's a good smell, just not what I want on my face.

I'm at the end of my second bar, and love this stuff! I have oily/combo, acne-prone skin. From the start, this decreased redness in my skin, never dried my skin, removed all makeup, never stung my eyes, can be carried on a plane (hurray for solid cleansers!)...and may have helped keep my acne at bay. It's no miracle worker, but the above qualities are everything I look for in a cleanser. So many cleansers don't remove all eye makeup, leave my skin red in spots, break me out or are too drying. This leaves me glowing, and it's noticeable whenever I go a day without using this. The only other cleanser I would consider switching to is Arcona's White Tea cleanser. But that won't happen for a while!

Stylish packaging, but completely impractical and unhygenic. As for the product, it smelt awful and dryed out my combination skin terribly. In theory it sounded like a wonderful product, however the reality left my face looking worse for the experience.

At first I LOVED this cleansing bar. The smell is AMAZING to me. Very herbal and fresh. I actually liked how it was in bar form. I just had the travel sized bar, and it lasted about 3 months. But, I think it ultimately irritated my skin a little bit (perhaps a little too stripping). I need something more gentle (right now I'm using the NUXE 3 roses cleansing milk - AMAZING!!!). The bar ended up getting very yucky after awhile (very goopy).

I bought my first Arcona products after a facial at my favorite spa. That was in February. I use the full-sized Toner Tea Bar every day and I am nowhere near the end of the bar. It lasts for ever (don't be scared off by the price). The longevity aside, it is a fabulous product that I love to use every evening when I return from work. My skin feels clean and refreshed - a feat hard to accomplish with my combination skin! I do think the scent is very 'hippie' as mentioned by an earlier post - but it does smell good!

i bought the travel size kit (for normal skin) under the advice of my sister who has a radiant complexion. The bar is great. It smells yummy; like a hippie store and it leaves the skin clean but not stripped. Not the best at removing eye makeup and if you don't cut the bar in half it is difficult to get out of the dish. Don't drop this soap.

I really like this facial cleanser. It seems to dry up excess oil and calm my skin at the same time. I also like the smell: kind of like an Aveda store. I've taken the advice of others on the site and cut it into smaller pieces. It makes the bar easier to work with.

The Toner Tea Bar is awesome! I got it as part of the Basic 5 kit and it truly has exceeded my expectations. There is a slight herbal scent but its suds fairly well and does a very thorough job cleansing the skin. The best part is that my skin does not pull afterwards, you know, the feeling that it needs moisturizer. I use this with a Shiseido face brush (you can get it for around $20). It's a lot less messy and more efficacious in cleaning. I've only been using this for a couple days but I already feel a difference in how much softer my skin is.

This is the best face cleanser I've ever used. After one use my skin looked and felt completely different. These products make your skin glow. It's kind of expensive, but the bar lasts forever if you cut it into pieces. The box it comes in tends to fall apart, but who cares when the product is stellar. I used to have sporadic break outs, but they've stopped since I started using Arcona. Definitely worth a try!

First off, I had read that you should cut this bar into smaller pie wedges AFTER I had used it. Well gosh, hindsight is 20/20 of course. Too late for mine. I made the mistake of putting it back into the container after using and I almost couldn't get it back out. Now I flip over the bottom part of the container and sit the bar on it. It fits into the slightly recessed area just fine.

The smell...is that smell you're hit with when you first walk into an Aveda store. Know what I mean? Kind of musky/sandalwoody and if you like that smell you'll love it. I'm okay with it, but it's not my fav. It's not so strong that it deters me from using it.

The effect...I really like that it cleans my face with suds, but it's not drying! My pores are now smaller and my face feels so soft! I had a friend feel my face and she could NOT believe how soft my face was. (I'm using the AED kit.)

Not the best for my dehydrated/acne prone skin in winter months, but when there's more moisture in the air I like it a lot. It does tend to get me squeaky clean (too much so in winter), and the smell is awesome!
