I found this at Walmart for around $6-7. It never occurred to me to heat it because clearly, the packaging says No Heat Required. The way that the wand itself is constructed makes application very tricky. Also, I only had enough wax for three waxes and I only wax my brows. It was only successful in grabbing the unwanted hairs about every other try and I DID thoroughly clean the area beforehand. I also ran out of strips after the second wax so I had to make some out of an old sheet. I will not buy this product again.

It's just OK. As with the other reviews, you MUST use the cleansing wipe and you MUST warm up the wax. No heat is just nonsense. I stuck it in a cup full of really hot water for a few minutes and that did the trick.

The applicator is not very precise so I'm not sure I would try it on my eyebrows. It did well for the upper lip, got all the coarse hairs and most of the fine ones. The thicker the layer of wax, the better. It was easy to rewax the spots I missed, using the same strip. I did get some redness but unlike the pre-waxed strips, it didn't last very long at all.

It's nice to have reusable cloth strips. Most other facial wax kits have plastic strips (shudder). They washed clean easily in warm water. They're just muslin or linen, so you could certainly go buy a cloth remnant from Joanne Fabrics if you don't like reusing them.

Very portable, very easy to use for beginners, however, the wax did take some time to warm up. Application of wax was very precise and smooth. Easy to follow clear instructions were included.

It wasn't worth the $13 I paid for use on such a small area, though.

THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT!
I know many here are complaining that this product does not work however it is because many of them HAVE NOT USED THE CLEANSING WIPE THAT COMES WITH IT.
YOU MUST CLEANSE THE AREA FIRST WITH THE CLEANSING WIPE OR IT WILL NOT WORK PROPERLY.
I use this to wax my eyebrows every month or so and I have not been disappointed it is easy to use and there is no need to heat or dry at all. I can even shape my eyebrows the way I want due to the self application of this wand. It removes almost all the hairs in one wax and only one or two hairs are left to self pluck. But if you've had your eyebrows done professionally you would know that some hairs don't always come off in the first wax.
I have no complaints about this product. A lot of my friends use this product and they LOVE it too!

Is this product supposed to be a joke?

It didn't spread properly and what did come out pulled nothing.

UPDATE

ok for this to work properly 1. you absolutely MUST use the cleaning wipe in the area you're going to wax 2. heat the wand under hot water first to soften it. I did this and the product worked wonderfully. Pulled every last hair for both upper lip and eyebrows.

Best eyebrow hair shaper ever. Have tried a few others, but they don't grip or remove hair properly. Nads has a cleanser pad that strips all the waxes and oils from your eyebrows first, that makes the gel grip really well. Always need to tidy the last remaining hairs, but that even happens at a salon. Perfect, have repurchased many times. Great product.

This is absolutely the least effective product I have ever tried. There is no precision in application. This would be disastrous if you used it on your eyebrows... well, except for the fact that the wax is useless. The gel that comes out when you twist the tube congeals immediately, and all you can do is stretch it out messily over the skin. This would be an annoying inconvenience if it worked, but after several tries I have yet to remove any hair. Terrible.

This is the best facial hair removal product I have tried. I use this once every month or so, to shape my eyebrows and remove stray hairs on my upper lip. The process is very simple and easy to do, though you do have to keep some things in mind.
Use the cleansing wipes provided, or a toner that has alcohol in it. If the product you use says moisturizing, Put It Down. There can't be any oils on your skin or hair or this product simply will not stick. For this reason, especially if you have dry skin, only use the pads on the areas you plan to be using this on.
Warm the wand beforehand. Some people have mentioned putting it in hot water, but that's too much trouble for me. I generally stick it in the crook of my bent knee while I shine my toenails or under my arm while I wash my face. Body heat is warm enough.
Make sure you put the cap back on tightly. Anything less than a perfect seal and the gel will start to dehydrate and get gummy.
I find it's also helpful to draw the shape of brow I want on with white pencil before applying the Nads to make sure I get the right hairs.
Rub those strips (by the way, they are reusable. you don't even have to 'wash' them, just swish them for a minute or two in hot water and then dry them on a towel.) down good and solid when you put them on top of the gel, then hold your skin taut and pull fast.
I love that it just washes off with water from my skin. You do have to take care for the next few days to gently exfoliate and/or use toner to make sure that you don't get ingrown hairs that cause those pimples and red bumps.
They need to lower the price or develop a wand that can use refill cartridges though. That would make this about a perfect product. I hate paying so much to get the same tool over and over again.

The first time I used this, my eyebrows turned out quite nice. But after that it just went downhill. The gel dried a little and it became hard to spread on the my eyebrows and didn't get any hairs off at all. I do like the idea of this facial wand though , so it still gets 3 lippies.

Once I get past my inner 12 year old snickering at the name, I can get down with this product.

This product is super effective for my eyebrows and it doesn't hurt like some other waxes do. The only issue is that it can be difficult to spread and I'm going to try using an orange stick next time to really manipulate it in to the tiny hairs under my eyebrow.

I love the facial wand! I have extremely sensitive skin, yet it doesn't irritate like most others do. Also, it's pretty painless compared to messy hot wax, and extremely convenient. Takes off all the hair, and leaves my skin much less red and irritated than any other product I have tried. Instead of having a red upper lip for hours, it's usually back to its normal color within 15-20 minutes. The only downside is that the wax becomes gummy and useless in the tube after a month or two, meaning that there's a lot of leftover, unusable wax remaining in the tube. I wish Nads would redesign the tube to solve this problem. Also, the strips only work once--I have tried washing and drying them like the package says, but they just don't work nearly as well afterwards. Still, despite these minor flaws, I will continue to buy this product.

P.S. Stay away from the Nads facial strips--I thought they were the same stuff, but they tore the skin off my face! :(

I loved this product the first two times used it on my eyebrows. It did exactly what it was supposed to. It got all the hair off and the wand was really easy to use.
However, after the first two times the wax has become thick and gummy. I have to try really hard to spread it, and now it doesn't remove any hair.

I got this for free so I wasn't worried if it worked or not. I didn't need to use it on my face so I tried on my leg as a trial. It didn't go very well so I gave it another go-same problem. It just wouldn't take off the hair.

I used this on my eyebrows and bikini line (which it isn't indended for)

It worked very well on my eyebrows and did not break the hears off, I have fine to medium hair

as a previous reviewer said the wax is very tacky and hard to spread and as we all know dragging near the eye area isn't good

My eyebrows looked fantastic after though so i can't complain

On bikini line it failed miserably, the hairs simply broke off because they were too coarse

Then again I can't put it down for that because it wasn't intended for that area

I don't think this will hold up if you have very coarse hair though

I think I purchased the updated packaging for this product, as the product was in a twist up wand. I've gone through many different types of hair bleaching kits, cream hair remover, and waxing kits, all of which I was never completely satisfied with. The bleaching kits still showed the hair, the cream hair remover burned and the hair grew in thicker after, and the wax would make a hard to clean mess in the bathroom. The fact that this product is water soluble was the first thing that attracted me to buy it. I found it to be very true to its claim; the excess NADS washed right off my face, AND the reusable strips that came with it. This product made absolutely no mess for me, and worked very well in removing unwanted facial hair. However, it was hard to spread at times, and was sometimes a little painful when you had to tug to spread it over an area of face. The other problem I had with this product was that you do not get much product for the $10 you pay for it, and I don't mean to sound like a cheapie but after removing the hair on my face one time, there was half of the product left. These shortcomings do not prevent me from repurchasing, however, because the NADS facial wand was easy to use, effectively removed the hair, and made no mess, and that beats all two of its downfalls for me. :)

This is the second time i have bought this product. I do not understand why so many people reviewed it poorly. First of all, you need to rub the wand in between your hands for a little while to warm it up. I don't know if it says that in the instructions but that makes the consistency a lot better. Secondly people complain there arent enough strips... You guys do know that you wash them and re-use them right? Ive reused the same strips like 10 times and they still work. People think this product dries out but you have to make sure the lid is closed properly. I love this wand. I use it on my eyebrows and it takes off like 10 hairs at once. Just like any waxing application you have to be patient and go slowly and shape them inch by inch. Anybody who says that it leaves hairs on. Even if you have a professional eye brown job done, not all the hairs come off and you need to tweeze them off. I highly recommend this product.

I love this. I was using regular wax for my upper lip - til I burnt it, and had a blister for a week then a red mark that took about a month to fade.

This goes on precisely where you want it, and I use it for my upper lip and my brows.

This is quick and easy - I hate plucking brows - and gives a professional looking result.

I love it, this is one of my staples.

I don't really know what to make of this, my first application was ok, but subsequently it just went down hill. Firstly, I find the applicator to be sharp and painful, the product drags across the skin, and you have to press down to ensure an even application, which hurts! And I only had 40% of hair removed! I would only use the strip twice, as even then, the first application leaves red bumps and my skin feeling really sore for 3 days! And there are very few strips, I'll probably chuck this out once I finish the last strip, and there's still lots left. What a waste of time, money and pain!

When I lived in England, I used this for almost 5 years (paying approximately $27 for the facial wand pack). Now I live in Florida, I can get this for $2! I don't know if the formulation has changed, but this used to work so well on my eyebrows that friends and family would beg me to use this on them. Unfortunately when I started to use this product again, it removed very few hairs even with multiple applications. Last time I used it, it took skin off both my eyelids leaving two huge ugly red scars. I threw this whole pack in the trash, I don't want to have permanent scars from a beauty product. Needless to say, I will not be repurchasing, even for $2. I gave it 2/5 because I used it for so long with no problems.
