Wow, is the price I'm seeing for real?? I got a sample of this in a swap and decided to see what all the hype was about with La Mer products. There was enough to generously coat my whole body. Underimpressed doesn't really begin to describe what I'm feeling... First of all, I don't like the powdery scent. More importantly it doesn't appear to be a very effective moisturizer, it's just sitting there and not soaking in. IMO, my Philosophy moisturizers are a far superior product at a much lower price.

I actually did buy this more than once! It is very moisturizing! It gets absorbed very quickly and doesn't feel greasy at all (this is very important to me!). I also like its subtle smell, I dislike strong scented things. The only problem is that I go through lotions exceptionally fast so its price doesn't make it a good lotion to be on all year long...pretty expensive!

I used the body cream from La Mer before. Since summer is coming, I bought the body lotion to give it a try. And I love it. The smell is the same as the cream, nice and long lasting. And it absorbs quickly and moisturizes well.
I bought the deluxe version which is 400ml bottle. The price is $200, which is a much reasonable price compared to other fine brands of body lotions.

I didn't actually buy this my mother bought the large size used it a couple times and decided she didn't like it so she give it to me. Overall I liked it and thought it was a good lotion, loved how fast it absorbed into my skin. However I can find tons of other lotions I like just as much for less than $200 so I don't plan on buying it.

Average product! Smells like a cheap lotion. Not very hydrating. Certainly not worth the money. It dries instanly (huge plus).
I thought I'd love this as much as I love La Prairie's cellular lotion but no, it doesn't come close. IMO Kiehl's "creme de coprs" is a much better moisturizer and way cheaper!
For those who love this product: STRAWBERRYNET.COM HAS A GOOD SPECIAL ON THE 200ML.

This is without a doubt the best body moisturizer on the market today, No matter what time of year it is, this lotion makes my skin absolutley glowing and silky smooth. I cannot image using another one. However, I do at least once or twice a week because at $195.00 for 13.2 oz, I like to make my bottles last as long as possible, I love it and keep coming back for more!

THE BEST, BEST, BEST BODY MOISTURIZER OUT THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!! There is nothing like La Mer Body Lotion..........believe me, I have tried. If it weren't for the steep price tag, I would be indulging in this luxury day and night. When I was using it for a couple of weeks, I slithered into bed one night and my boyfriend said, "YOUR SKIN IS SOOOOO SOFT!!!" (I hadn't even put it on that day - what they claim is true.........you get to a point where you don't have to wear it every day). My boyfriend is not the observant type that would comment on an overpriced body lotion either. I LOVE this stuff!!!!!

I have a 1 oz. sample of this, and I really like it! Bad news, since it's so expensive. :(
Smells good, works great. Because I'm such a product junkie, I have no doubt I'll end up buying the full size eventually. In the meantime, I'll try to make my less-expensive products (which is ALL of them) do the trick.

This is a really nice moisturizer. I wash my hands a lot (4 small children ... don't ask. LOL!) and my hands tend to get very dry and red. Sometimes they even develop tiny little cracks that bleed, when this happens it stings my skin to even apply moisturizer. But not this lotion. This lotion is so soothing. It feels calming and deeply moisturizing, but it is never oily or filmy. It absorbs into my skin nicely and leaves my skin feeling very soft and healthy. It feels like it is actually nourishing my skin. This lotion is very expensive, but it is one of the best quality moisturizers that I have ever used, and it really agrees with my skin. Because my skin can be very dry, finding the optimum moisturizer for my skin is very important to me, and if I find something that works well, then it is worth it to me to pay more for it. Oh, and by the way, a little of this lotion goes a long way, so a bottle of this lotion, although expensive, should last a good long time. 5 lippies! :)

A great body lotion. Rich yet absorbable. My hands and rough areas around my joints are immediately softened. No cream or lotion I have tried so far managed to do this. I am planning to use this right after every time I exfoliate. Great results.

Oh. My. Goodness. You American girls have it easy, this product is jacked up to $275 CAN! I received a generous sample from a Holt Renfrew promotion and graciously accepted it as a nice swap product. I use Johnson & Johnson or St-Ives body lotion because it goes on sale for like, $2 at SDM, and works as well as I need it to. But my face has been dry, a little flakey, a little crackley in the forehead, and always a bit of redness for the last while so one night I decided I'd try it on my face for fun, just to experiment. It's a fantastic thick cream that reminds me of prepackaged rice pudding - so thick that you need barely enough to cover a fingertip for use on the whole face. The SA pitched it as a seaweed wrap like the face moisturizer. Usually when I wake up in the morning my face feels like a normal combination face - a little oily in some areas, a little desiccated in others, but the morning after I used this product, my face was like a baby's bottom. Firm, supple, hydrated. No redness. I've stopped wearing foundation and concealer which I had used daily before this. Pores less red, less visible. No irritation, no bad smell, no weird residues. I'm tempted to try the face cream after this but I'd hate to feed the need. Love this!

alright, 135 USD/ 6.7 FL OZ is extremely highly priced.. if this product had miraculously astonishing results it would be well worth it. after using it consecutively for three days... i have decided that many other body treatments/creams/lotions out there with a fraction of the price can perform just as well if not better. i received some very generous packets of this as samples from an s/a after purchasing other products from her. not hooked on this product- kinda relieved 'cuz 135 would cause a huge dent in any wallet. ;p

I was very skeptical about purchasing this lotion. The price tag is remarkably expensive. Well, the sales girl insisted on putting the lotion on and pitching to me how great this works. Well not much from the scent that draws me to buy it but the unique texture of the lotion. Now, I have a big den on my wallet. On a personal note, I don't think it applies to everyone, I felt that it awakens the skin surface beneath. I am not exaggerating it. If I put it on before sleep, I would be wide awake. Anyway, I wish they can lower the price.

Got a few sample sachets of this via eBay and it's the most luxurious body lotion I have ever tried... non-greasy and easily absorbed, it makes my skin silky smooth. LOVE it to bits but won't ever be purchasing it at full price. Look out for it on eBay, Strawberrynet etc... or grab some samples at a La Mer counter. I now have some sample 30ml/1oz bottles that will last a while, if I'm able to use it sparingly.

I got a 10 mL sample of this to try, and I would NEVER spend so much money on a body lotion. The price they charge is laughable. This smells like cheap hotel perfumed body lotion to me. It spreads very easily and leaves my skin smooth, but it doesn't completely sink in so there is also surface grease left on my legs. Plus it stung a little. Obviously I will not purchase this product.
