I love the smell of this gingerlily bath & shower gel. It sort of grows on me. Initially I find it overpowering but now I like it. It is also fine on my sensitive skin. I will buy it again.

I could really write this review about any of the shower gels that Molton Brown makes. These are consistently the best smelling gels I can find and instantly lift my mood. Plus my husband loves the smell.

I only used a sample of this, but then had to re-wash myself because the scent is so unbelievably strong. I personally thought it had an "old-lady perfume" smell to it. It just knocked me over. for what it's worth, it didn't seem too drying.

I love this product, i especially like using it as a bubble bath, you dont need much and the smell lingers on your skin, i always finish of with the body lotion to match. Im suprised to see that people dont like it as i think its one of the best and ive tried a few!!!

This was in my 'Take any 5' and can't say I like it very much although this scent was rated Top by a local magazine. Mostly personal, this scent reminds me of CK Escape and that scent brings bad memories...

Product Description: Transport yourself to steamy faraway shores with our highly exotic new bathing therapy. This is one of our most indulgent, skin pampering formulas ever and is already a Molton Brown best-seller; so come on in, the water's lovely. Suitable for all skin types and is particularly ideal for dry and dehydrated skin. The cleansing formula is deeply aromatic and leaves the skin exotically fragrant. The Tamanu Nut Oil is a natural moisturiser from the island of Tahiti, has been used by islanders for centuries to hydrate wind damaged skin. It provides nourishing as well as intensive moisturising properties, leaving the skin feeling soft and looking smooth.

Size: 300ml; Price: £15.00

Ingredients: tamanu nut oil, macadamia glycerides, tuberose, ginger, cardamom, taget

Application: Add directly to running bathwater for richly moisturizing bubbles or lather up with water directly on the skin when showering.

On Me: As a shower gel, it foams very well with just a tiny little bit. but the tendency is too over pour cos of the poor design of the pout. Wish it came in a pump form or at least a small stopper. This doesn’t strip skin. Unfortunately this scent turned sour on my skin. Made me nauseous.

Well I bought the set for my boyfriend for Christmas (tahaha great excuse for me to try it!) well first of all it does smell quite chemically and when I looked at the ingredients I couldn't believe how many nasties like sodium laureth sulphate, parabens and other crap that was in a bottle of shower gel that they charge over £20 for!! I have come to learn that an expensive product does not normally mean you are getting the top quality ingredients in it.

My boyfriend seems to like it though, it was a so so product, don't think I will be purchasing it again...

oh i lovet his body wash! yes it is not cheap but truely feel that this product is worth every penny. the scent is just amazing...i don't even know how to put it into words but it is just heavenly. the bottles are beautiful. it produces such a rich, foamy lather and never leaves my skin dry. the bottles of washes last me forever because i only need to use a dime size drop to cover my whole body with foam. molton brown is the line that is used by the queen of england so yes it is expensive but it is very high quality. this line continues my obession with england and makes me want to visit the new molton brown store that opened an hour away from my house. just beautiful!

i do not know why molton brown products are so expensive and highly rated. the first ingridient is water and the second is sodium lauryl sulphate which is a very cheap detergent found in supermarket and very cheap made products. it is very harsh and drying on the skin. the smell is also quite over powering. i do not think you get very much for the money you pay.

i would try a small 100ml size first as it is not for everybody

I'm shocked by the low rating....please give this one a chance....it will grow and have you totally hooked! I honestly did'nt know what all the fuss was about when i first tried it but began to feel the benefits as in the middle of winter i started to think about spring cleaning the house...i suddenly realised that this was the affect the gingerlilly was having on me. Honestly that is no lie. Gorgeous and an absolute staple for me.:)

I received a sample bottle of this from Eluxury. The scent was interesting, but not a scent I want on my skin. I didn't find it moisturizing in the least, but I'm unable to say it was *drying* to the skin as other reviewers have noted. The scent lingered for several hours.

Based on some of the positive reviews on here I was expecting more, a lot more...I found the scent of Heavenly Gingerlily to be very average, pretty strong and overall ill-balanced. What's even more important to me, I found this gel is extremely drying for my hands, even when I used only a little. I got a decent size sample of this which I used a couple times and ended up throwing out. Needless to say, would not purchase.

Definitely not my favorite Molton Brown product. Found the scent far, far too overpowering and couldn't tolerate the Heavenly Gingerlilly Body Lotion. I also found it to be a bit drying...but must add that I used it while on a trip to Colorado...very, very arid environment. Gave the products away (full and sample sizes) at a meeting as part of a "goody bag."

I got this as a sample from Bath and Body Works and I love it!! I think it smells wonderful but goes to show you how different some people's opinions are! I wouldn't buy this soley based on price, $27.00 for body wash is absurd but it lathers great and leaves my skin soft with no irriation and I have horribly sensitive skin.

I think the fragrance is actually very pretty. Lovely floral, but VERY STRONG when you lather it up in your washcloth...I must have gotten a completely different batch from another reviewer, b/c my whole bathroom (and adjoining hall and bedroom) fills with the scent when I use it. The downside for me...is that after I step out of the tub, my skin begins to *itch*. Bummer...

The smell of this product reminds me of Neutrogena face soap and the perfume of an elementary school substitute teacher. It is not a bad thing, but I was not overly impressed. The gel did leave my skin very moisturized after a shower, so that is something.

I am amazed that no one else likes this! I got this as a present, both the shower gel and body lotion and I thought they were lovely, just like a big bouquet of my favourite stargazer lilies, beautiful! May be I got a non corrupt bottle or something but I liked them and would by them again, I got my hubby to sniff them in case I am deluded, and he thought they smelt ok - nice and girly were his words!
