This has become my go-to mascara. It holds a curl like a dream, which is hard with Asian lashes. It stays put-to be honest,it's a pain to remove without eye makeup remover, none of my face washes have ever gotten this off. it's nice and dark and gives me decent length and volume. It's not amazing;people won't ask if you're wearing falsies, but it's incredibly efficient for a killer price. when i want more oomph i'll layer a lengthening mascara over it,but i'm hoping to eventually find a drugstore product that can hold my curl like this and give me drama.

My first waterproof mascara. Back then i didn't know about clumpyness but I do remember not liking this mascara because whenever I put it on I always saw a black glob or line in my peripheral vision. I thought all mascaras globbed on like that. Plus I didn't know the existence of waterproof eye make up remover back then and remembered using tons and tons of my mother's estee lauder eye make up remover to "remove" the mascara. After that I did not like mascara and did not use mascara again unless it was for special events. After trying some other brands of mascara in my last year of high school i realized not all of them was not has bad as this one.

Whenever I run out of mascara and don't want to spend more money on Maybelline Full n' Soft, I always buy this mascara. It stays on all day without budging or smearing and gives good volume and curl. My only complaint is I prefer the black-brown shade and haven't been able to find that for months since Wal-mart carries the Jet Black shade only now.

I just needed a generic waterproof mascara for nights I go out or sweaty days- it holds up fairly well and rinses off easily with my face wash and make up remover and is dirt cheap so lippies for that. I find it pretty clumpy/messy, though, and not particularly thickening or defining for my straight long Asian lashes. Holds my curl better than nonwaterproof mascara, but still not the prettiest effect.

Even though it was "waterproof" it kept on smudging, even when my eyes made no contact with water or my hand. :(

THIS MASCARA IS AWESOME. You may think it looks cheap and you're gonna get what you paid for, but that is NOT THE CASE. It defines my lashes and does not clump. Great for everyday makeup: doesn't clump or make lashes spidery, defines and darkens them to make them noticeable.

Worst mascara I have ever tried
! The price is really good but I got what I paid for. Even though it was "waterproof" it kept on smudging and dripping, leaving me with racoon eyes. Plus, it clumped alot.

This is a good mascara, especially for the price -- I think I payed $1.75 for it. It works well to define my lashes and make them noticeable from beneath my glasses. You won't get much volume or length from this, so for special occasions you might want to go for something else -- but for my everyday needs, this mascara is perfect. This product lasts all day with little to no smudging, holds the curl all day, and removes easily at night.
When I purchased this, the formula was rather dry, so I had to dampen it with a few drops of water. But after that, the mascara went on smoothly without clumping. Also, the packaging is a bit messy -- I tend to get mascara all over the mouth of the tube. The brush itself is wonderful, but a touch messy; sometimes I get mascara on my lids.
Overall, this is a really great mascara for everyday purposes. I'd recommend this to anyone with a busy schedule who wants a simple look without touch-ups.

This is an okay mascara. It did clump but it does a great job darkening the lashes.

My favorite Mascara. Works well to define lashes and maintains my curl. Other more expensive brands straighten my curl? Brush deposits right amount of mascara. It works as well as the expensive brands. Why pay more? Definitely a best buy.

Good alternative to my favorite (now discontinued) mascara - CG Marathon. It dries not crunchy but not tacky. Waterproof for the better part of the workday - slight smudging after 9 hours - not bad. The price is right and I've had no trouble removing. Will definitely buy again.

There's no reason to spend lots of money on mascara as long as this stuff keeps being as good as it is. It stays on all day, doesn't flake, withstands tears, and doesn't clump or separate when applied. Barring the exception of special occasions, all I generally want from my mascara is to make my eyelashes show up a little better behind my glasses and not to look like spider legs. This definitely meets my usual needs and unless I feel like experimenting with other kinds, I'm sure I'll stick with it.

This mascara isn't that great, but for the price, it's not that bad either. I like the traditional type of brush, which is thick and gives even coating without too much effort, but the formula isn't that great. It's not completely waterproof, so it tends to smudge.

You should know that my eyelashes are sparse, thin, with an average length and stick straight. I expect from mascara to hold a curl so that’s why I prefer the waterproof versions. I was very excited to try this because it was really cheap and the bottle was cute and small, perfect to carry in your purse.
I didn’t really like anything about this mascara.
I am pretty sure that I got a very old tube because the product inside was too dry and when I applied it on my lashes it was very clumpy and messy. It really didn’t make my eyelashes look good.
Even though I wonder how a new tube works, I don’t think I will buy this mascara ever again and I really don’t recommend it to anyone.

I got this on clearance for $1.50. I am not disappointed! The brush is full and allows you to get a nice coverage, nothing majorly volumizing but decent for everyday. It's not completely waterproof as I did get a little smudging around my eyes but that was after 12 hours of wearing it. It also came off easily with baby oil. I'd recommend this to anyone!

Why such low ratings? I love this mascara.
First thing I noticed about it - the brush. It's the old-school style of brush, very big. You won't get a separating, combing effect with this brush, which is the reason I LIKE it so much! I feel that many of the new mascaras coming out are very gimmicky, with the orange rubber wands and the comb kind. I don't have time to fiddle with a clumped up comb in the morning, I prefer a mascara with a more classic, fuss free approach.
This mascara gives lashes a natural look. I have the shade Jet Black and it's not exactly the darkest black you could find. If I named it, I would call it Natual Black.
The packaging leaves a bit to be desired. Mascara tends to clump up around the opening which needs to be wiped off. I haven't had any issues with it drying out, and I have had it open for 7 months.
Overall, I like this mascara for a subtle look and will repurchase again. It's only $1.79 and it lasts for months.

I couldn't expect anything great for $1, I just picked this up when I realized I hadn't packed my own on vacation. It actually isn't that waterproof, it smuged everywhere on my when I got sprayed with a bottle of water. Also, it's dry, flaky, clumpy... just not good. I wouldn't suggest it even if you can't afford anything more, save your money until you can get even just Cover Girl... you'll just end up throwing this out, or being better off without mascara.

Abysmal!! I wanted to try a waterproof mascara and picked this up on a whim because the price was cheap. Ended up trashing it after 2-3 tries. Gave me clumpy, dry, heavy looking lashes. It made them look like thick spider legs! Not pretty at all. I've moved on to Maybelline's Full n' Soft waterproof mascara, and boy, it is so much better! Pay the extra $3-4 for better quality.

I'm shocked by the poor rating for this product. Personally, it's my favorite waterproof mascara and the one I always reach for before my eight other mascaras in my makeup arsenal. I love this in Jet Black - shows up dark and glossy on my lashes, provides length, some volume, and defines. The formula itself isn't wet though. No smudging or flaking, and lasts all day. I'm sorry this doesn't work for most, but for me, it's a definite staple.
