I love Rose!!!!!!!!!! But this stuff....yuck! Smells like a mix of rose and cat pee.

This smells a little old-fashioned and kinda perfumey, not fresh at all. I like rose scents to smell like they are fresh out of a garden. Also, the scent disappears on this very quickly! I wish I had tested it. I would probably not have purchased it.

Base note: Dill pickles. Middle Note: Rotting Roses. Top Note: Baby Powder. Mmmmmmmm sounds enticing doesn't it? Yeah, the dill pickle scent just doesn't seem to fade away. I dunno if I have ever smelled a Bulgarian Rose but I'm pretty sure that it doesn't smell like dill pickles. The end.

I found this scent on sale @ a Marshalls/TJMaxx and fell in love. This is a pure rose scent, lasts for awhile, doesn't smell powdery or like my grandmother. I really feel like I smell like a lovely rose garden when I put this on. Just bought another bottle.

No, really, this is beautiful. I was very impressed at how high quality the rose was. Not headache inducing and of a good strength. Lasted atleast two hours (I washed it off by accident), but shortly before so I was amazed at how it was actually turning into a very etheral creamy rose scent; as the beginning was very true sharpish rose. Wow.

Started off with a weird sweet/sour note, like tobacco wetted down with vinegar. Then it became recognizably rose, but a very synthetic, air-freshener rose. Both of the Demeter florals I've tried had strange unpleasant notes, although in the case of Honeysuckle, it was 3-in-1 oil with dust.

This was one of my first Demeter scents and, because I love the smell of roses, I desperately wanted to like it. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. This is not the pleasant, fresh, gentle scent of rose that I would find sniffing a single rose from a vase (or my flower garden); this is more the fake, heavy, cloying, elderly-woman rose perfume that I wanted to wash off as soon as I'd sprayed it. I tried to let it dry down to a more subtle scent, but that never happened, and the scent seemed to last longer than other other Demeter I'd ever sampled (not a good thing!). Obviously, I wasn't going to keep this and swapped it away (and unfortunately, she felt the same way, so it went up for swap again...).
Now I'm wary to try the other Demeter Rose scents... Can they really be as bad as this one?

What a sweet sweet rose on so many levels! It's a lovely and true bulgarian rose. I have to say this is quite impressive and the staying power for a Demeter PMU is better than some more expensive rose scents! I love it and will look for the bigger botte in 4oz. I can see myself frequently spraying this little gem generously in the summer. This scent is also great for kids when they can't sleep. ~If you spray the back of their hand and tell them to lay there sniffing~ soon they'll be off to dreamland~ It's also a great monster spray -- monsters don't like roses you know.

Standard rose scent. Single note. Dries down to a better scent ... more powdery-rose. No, I would not purchase again, simply because it didn't do anything for me. Just average.

I bought this product based upon the reviews. What I can't understand is why the reviewers left out the fact that this fragrance only lasts 5 minutes on your body. I definitely will never buy another demeter fragrance again.

I was standing in line at Anthropologie and saw this near the checkout counter. I love the smell of roses (c'mon, who doesnt?!) and so I tested this and thought it smelled wonderful. The first reviewer said it perfectly, it is a "soapy rose" smell that I adore! I walked into this spray (a little goes a long way) and I can't stop smelling myself. It smells so pretty, fragrant and surprisingly light. I never thought I'd buy a Demeter Spray since I don't like foody or unique scents, which this one obviously isn't, but I like this a whole lot!

I really loved the smell of this. It ts almost like a slightly soapy rose smell. I love it!
