Love to use this because it makes my lips so smooth and before I used this, I had chapped lips all of the time. I find it is necessary to use Paula's Choice Lip & Body Treatment Balm afterwards and that makes them perfect without a dry feeling. I use it at night before bed.

Works well, it needs to be used regularly every other day to see results as you would for a facial exfoliator. If you don't apply a good lip balm afterwards lips can get really dry but that's only because you are scrubbing.

I threw this in a PC order because it was half off and I needed a few more dollars to qualify for free shipping. I didn't even realize exactly what it was til i opened it up and realized it was too gritty to be a lip balm. So I used it as directed a couple nights in a row and was pretty impressed. It had never really occurred to me to truly exfoliate my lips, I used to just scrape off excess skin w/ my finger nails when needed This works so much better. It really did make a difference in my lips, my lipsticks and balms apply so much better now and look smoother and nicer. My only grip is the list price. I find 8$ for a tiny tube of this stuff a bit steep, but it was worth the 4$ I paid for it. I will repurchase when it's on sale again, but I expect my first tube to last quite a while.

I really like this product. I've always had a problem with peeling/flaking skin on my lips, and this seems to exfoliate without being overly harsh. I find I need to use a soft toothbrush to get it all off though. Otherwise, interesting product.

I'm not sure how to review this one, because on my lips it's not terribly effective. It works really well, however, on strange rough patches of skin that my kids will manage to get in odd places like behind the ears.

One of my Paula's Choice favorites. I use this with PC's Emollient Lip Balm in the winter & I love it.

The first time I tried it, I did overuse in one setting & my lips were sore. And it was the old formula, so it dried out before I used it up. But I'm having much better luck keeping the reformulated version (and I make sure to screw the lid tight as possible.)

The key for really chapped lips is not to exfoliate it ALL away in one night - it'll take a few days w/ a good moisturizing lip balm afterwards. But after 2 nights, my lips are back in shape.

This is the only PC product that I have tried and not liked. It just doesn't seem to do anything. I never use it.

this is pretty good for getting rid of my dry chapped lips in the winter, only if i use areally emollient lip balm afterwards. i use PC with the spf 15 and i love how my lips feel. i might rebuy this if it ever runs out (u get so much for how little u have to use!) i like it its just not a staple for my skin care. u have to be careful tho because if u used to much it can burn your lips and if u rub to hard your lips will bleed. but when i found the right amount to put on my lips it was nice.

I agree with the others - total garbage that doesn't work and expensive on top of that. You've got to wonder whether you can trust the opinions of a person who sells a product like this and claims it works. How about how it comes in a jar? That's so unsanitary. I think Paula once said it is her version of Beauticontrol's Lip Apeel, but I never tried that.

Love this product. I only buy the exfoliator. Any lip balm can be used afterwards. My lips are smooth and not dry looking! I hope she never stops selling this!

I have permanently chapped lips. I t doesn't matter what time of year it is! I bought this product with the Lip & Body Balm to try. This product was returned. Every time I tried it my lips were very sore afterwards - I didn't rub hard. It also didn't do much for the dry patches on my heels and ankles.

This worked just fine to exfoliate dry chapped lips. But because I use the lip and body treatment balm every night, I have not had any need to use it in over a year. I found it the other day in my drawer all dried up. Prevent the problem in the first place, get the lip treatment instead.

I've had mine for over a year & it has not dried up. I've had great success with this product.

I apply a layer over my lips when they are dry and/or cracked, gently exfoliate with a small soft toothbrush & wipe off with a clean soft cloth & viola - really nice smooth lips again!

I have two attempts with this useless product. All because I have used some other PC products that were good and because the first time I tried with it they were supposed to have reformulated it. However the same thing happened, it dried up!! I didn't have it for 4 months and it was dried right up. It happened the first time and I emailed customer service and they had claimed I needed to replace the product, so I did(stupid me!!)and then I kept the lid tight, went to use it and it was dried up ONCE again!! I will never buy this product again. I might try beauticontrol lip apeel which is probably much better. Packaging sucks, product sucks and add shipping to the cost and its not chump change. Save your money.

Waxy and worthless
product! An other real disappointment from PC!! After shipping and handling
this becomes a very expensive worthless product!! I use a lip balm and rub off
the dead skin off my lips with a tissue and get better result at a cheaper price,
this product is the worst I ever bought! it's expensive garbage!!!!.

This stuff is great! Similar to Adrien Arpel's Vegetable Peel-Off. I agree w/previous post that you have to let it dry before rubbing it off or it takes too much effort to get it going. I use this followed by Blistex DCT.

I dont know what Paula was trying to prove with this one. The idea is nice-lip exfoilation because we all know how thick gloss and cheap lipstick can build up dead skin and dry out your lips but when you apply this stuff i dont even know if your really rubbin off dead skin or the product.I think its the product. Its waxy and worthless. Your better off taking a toothbrush and vasaline and giving them a good scrub! UPDATE I ACTUALLY USED THIS PRODUCT LAST NIGHT BECAUE MY LIPS WERE PEELLING AND DRY AND IT WORKED ALRIGHT! YET MY VIEWS STILL HOLD UNTILL FUTURE NOTICE.

OUCH! I obviously have the old version, so I should just toss my dried up jar. It was creamy & usable when I got it, so this review is a bit late coming! The first time I tried this on chapped lips I thought I would die. I learned something: that chapped skin is well, a scab that is trying to protect raw skin underneath. I'm surprised I didn't draw blood! The newly expose raw skin crusted over & when that finally fell off, my lips were baby-butt smooth. But oh the humanity! 8P

Update, 12/16/03: I still have this stuff, even though its dried out. I've found that if I add a few drops of water to the thick mess in the jar & rub it in circles, I can make a creamy smear that I can apply to my lips. However, as my original review noted, I don't use it on really chapped lips - only on slightly flakey lips, and then I'm still very careful!

Totally don't get it - rubs off some dead skin but it takes too much effort and time to do it on a regular basis. I tossed it after 3 uses. The packaging sux too.
