In a word: awesome. This product does wonders for my baby-fine, stick straight, increasingly thinning, chin-length, blonde hair. I can't believe how well it performs! Usually, decent volume comes at the expense of softness and/or texture. Power Lift, however, gives my hair the perfect amount of body and superb strand separation -- no crunchiness, no residue, no dark roots, no stickiness. And the best part is that the effect lasts and lasts! I don't even have to tuck my hair behind my ears to keep it managable (that's nothing short of a miracle for me). It's also easy to apply and smells nice. I'm going back to Sally's to buy more because if they discontinue it, I will weep!

I really don't know how anyone can give this product a bad review. It is without a doubt the best lift styling product I have ever used and I have tried them all. My hair tends to be thick and heavy but I like having some lift at the crown. I have tried everything and even asked stylist for the best product. I wasted so much money trying products until I found this at Sally's. Because of this product I hardly need any hairspray and from the first day I used it, I got tons of compliments on my hair. Great product at a great price!

I think what makes this product special is the blast of concentrated substance that jet propells out of the sprayer. It works amazing on my thinning, shoulder length, very curly, color-treated, very dry hair.

I bought this product because it was on sale and had so many positive reviews from this site. I'm not in love with the product and I'd probably never repurchase for the "lift" but it does help with styling. What I do like about it is how easy it is to spray exactly where you want it, I spray it right on the root on the top of my head and I kind of tousle it in with my fingertips. Like i said it's not a huge lift but I do notice some body added. It doesn't make my hair greasy at all and doesn't have much of a scent. I will continue to use it.. Maybe I need to use more product? If anything changes I will update :-)

I bought this product based on the positive reviews here but unfortunately, it just didn't work for me. I have fairly healthy shoulder length Chinese hair with a light wave that I put into hot rollers regularly. I like using some kind of root lift spray or volumizing mousse when my hair is wet and then blow dry my hair for volume before I put the hot rollers in. This product claims to give volume and lift at the roots - it worked ok, not really as well as other products I've used before. The main reason I dislike this product is that it leaves a flaky residue that turns white when my hair is dried. I tried to spray less but then there's not enough product applied to my hair to do anything. Also, the nozzle spray is really ineffective in depositing the product - it either sprays all over or too much onto one spot. I've also tried spraying the product onto my hands and then finger combing into my hair from the roots, but it still leaves a flaky residue (which I have to brush out). As others have mentioned, the bottle design is annoying too - why the need to be so tall so that it doesn't fit onto any standard sized shelves? I unfortunately got 2 bottles of this because there was a buy 1 get 1 free offer at Sally's. I gave this product 2 stars because it's not too expensive, doesn't leave my hair sticky, and it smells fine. I used up the first can just to give it a fair chance but I think I will toss the 2nd can instead of trying to make this work for me. I would not repurchase.

I bought this at Sally's about a year ago after reading great things about the Matrix amplify root booster, and wanted to save some money (This is the dupe for that product). However it did nothing for my hair. I ended up returning it. Luckily, I got to swap for the matrix spray a few weeks later, and what a difference! I find, getting dupes/fakes at Sally's is a hit and miss. Sometimes there products are amazingly great quality like the originals, and sometimes, they fall short. This one did that for me. But you should also pay attention to reviews of products by people with your same hair type. Maybe this works well on coarser hair types. My hair shaft is too skinny and gets weighed down easily by certain products.

This is a pretty good product, but honestly I don't have anything to compare it to. I never used to use a root lifter or a blow dryer until a couple of years ago when I finally decided one day that I needed volume in my hair. So I went to Sally's and bought this and of course you have to use this with a blow dryer or it won't do anything (just like any other product). Well it definitely made a difference, I have a lot more volume now. But like I said, I am not sure how it compares to other brands since this is the only one I used, but so far I have no complaints :)

This is a great volumizer, I would say its my favorite for use to the roots only and my 2nd place to Sunsilks Volume stuff for use all over (ie the apply it like mousse technique).

I love this product....it is amazing! I have stick straight, fine hair and , in the past, every style fell out no matter what product I have used (Bumble and Bumble, Kerastase, and cheaper drug store products). The powerlift is easy to use and lifts my hair like no other product I have ever tried. It also feels soft but thick (something my hair never has felt like). The best part about the powerlift is that my hair still looks fluffy the next morning (truly a miracle). This is the first time in my life where I can actually go a second day without shampooing and styling my hair since it is not plastered to my head when I wake up in the morning. This is a miracle product!

I love this stuff...I use it maybe 3 times a week and somehow I have had the same can for a year now, so definitely a bargain. But best of all, it works. The nozzle sometimes clogs on me, but that isn't a deal breaker for me. It hits the root pretty accurately and then I comb through, blow dry = and my roots are not plastered to my head and I have LIFT. I do keep my hair/roots clipped up awhile after blowdrying to let them cool. This helps with root lift very well. If I run out, I will rebuy. I used to use the daring volume root lifter by Sunsilk, but I like this one better.

OMG. This is my HG volumizer. I have stick straight hair with no volume (I look like a drowned rat when I come out of the shower) and this product gives me big hair! My hair has lots of volume and remains soft to the touch and not stiff or crunchy at all. I use a volumizing shampoo and conditioner, then spray Power Lift at the roots, rub in, then spray a little throughout my hair. I blow dry with head upside down and then set in velcro curlers for 15 minutes. That's it, then I have big sexy hair with large waves that lasts all day! I hope they never discontinue this product!

I am not a cheap hair product person, and I love this! It's not sticky and it works well whether I wear my curly hair curly or straight. If I wear it straight, I apply to roots and comb through after applying my straightening product. If I wear my hair curly, I apply this before my curling product to the roots. It's a thin foam consistency. The scent is a little chemically but it goes away fast. Does just what it says - adds volume!

BTZ Power Lift is awesome for the haircut I currently. have. My hair is fine but I have a lot of it. It is about 3" long in most parts, longer in the front. I spray it all over the back half and blowdry upwards. Great volume all day. To help with volume, I also skip conditioner and use a tiny bit of thermasilk instead. It gives some hold as well.

I have flat and stubborn white people hair. And I have a lot of it!
I had given up looking for a mousse (or anything) to give my hair volume. Then I read the reviews on this, went out got it and I love it! I just spray it on my roots, blowdry and go. I just graduated from college and I was pissed to put that stupid cap on becuase my hair had volume for the first time in its life- lol!

I bought this stuff in the hopes that it would volumize and separate my extremely choppy layered bobbed haircut all day and it does, however it also leaves my hair feeling and looking "crunchy" which I don't care for. (I'm now considering the possibility that maybe I'm using too much product....) The problem is that when I brush it some of the volume goes flat. Doesn't seem to perform any better than a regular volumizing mousse (like the Vavoom Volumizing one from Matrix) so I won't be repurchasing unless I can figure out the formula for making this work like so many claim it does, meaning without the "crunch."

One of the best volumizers every!! I like this even better than my B&B Thickening Spray. It just thickens each strand and breathes new life into my fine hair. I hate the smell, but it's a small price to pay for such a good product.

this product really is a negative rating for me. It didn't give me any nice volume and it actually started to dry my hair out. I just tossed it.

Love this product! I have thick, heavy asian hair and have been looking for ages for a product that will give some lift to my roots. Bought this after reading the reviews and have not been disappointed. The first time I used this, results were neglible; I was in a rush and didn't blow dry at the roots, and it left my hair a little sticky, and I thought, oh well. There's lift! Then, I used it again, and took my time, and now I can't feel the product in my hair at all...but it gives me at least 2 days of big hair (as compared to Got2be's mousse, which I love too, but which doesn't have the long-lasting effects). Love love love! Bought for $4.99 at Sally's.
