Okay, I'm obviously in the minority here, but I like this stuff! Here's how I use it: add to my moisturizer (about a 1/2 pea size). Then wait a bit to absorb. Then I apply as recommended, just a tiny dab on my upper lids, around my mouth lines (hate those creases!, forehead lines and a bit under my eyes. That's it. I let it "set" while doing eyebrows, etc. I use Lucy Minerals and it doesn't disturb the effect at all. I look more rested and a bit younger. So...it works!

The old formula of Insta-Tox -- the one in the blue tube with white lettering -- was worth having and really worked. The consistency was gel-like and it was easy to apply, even if it went chalky on occasion. I loved that product and used several tubes.

The new formula of Insta-Tox -- the one in the white tube with blue lettering -- is not worth having and a major disappointment. It truly does nothing ... absolutely nothing. Aside from the change in formula, I think a large part of that has to do with the consistency. It's more of a liquid than a gel and is difficult to control, apply, & assess.

For just a tad of firming and lifting, try Serious Skincare Total Youth Recall All Over Face Firmer. It doesn't work on deeper wrinkles and lines like the old Insta-tox. It also doesn't lift like the old Insta-tox. However, it does minimize pores and fine lines. Works like a mattefier and is a good base for mineral make up.

This came in a kit, and I'm glad I didn't buy it separately. This did NOTHING for the 11 lines between my eyes. So far, I've not found anything that has...so the quest continues. I tried this also on my cheeks and nose to help hide some of my enlarged pores..didnt' seem to work there either. Not worth the money in my opinion.

I agree w/others--the "trick" is to make sure to SHAKE/SQUEEZE the tube
to mix the ingreds. first!

Then squeeze a TINY dot on your fingertip---sweep a THIN LAYER QUICKLY on the
lines and that's it!

If you apply a too-thick amount--it won't spread easily and it will dry
to a white film.

SSC's original wrinkle-filler product is called 'B-ILLUSION', which is a powder
that emulsifies when applied to the lines. I PREFER it over Insta-tox and use
it all the time. Both have almost identical ingrediants---but one is in a powder form...the other is a gel.

An slightly easier-to-apply similar Insta-tox product is Dianne Young's UN-WRINKLE Serum.
The Deluxe size is the best buy---it can be found on QVC.
It is a slightly "thinner" serum, which makes it spread more easily.
I use all 3 wrinkle-fill products at various times.

Well, they keep throwing this in every kit they sell. They demo it enough times my 6 year old daughter could demo it..

I have tried and tried to use and like this product, and thought "Maybe it is me"..

I really think this product has a love/hate following. And as long as they throw it in every kit they sell.. I either give it away, or toss it.

I would never buy this on it's own.

Sorry SSC.. this just doesnt' work for me.

I fell for the presentation on HSN and caved in and bought 4 tubes of this! While it definitely does what they say, if you have dry skin like me, it's useless, as putting moisturizer on top of it ruins the effect. I've tried patting the moisturizer in instead of rubbing it, but it just completely takes away the benefit of the Insta-Tox. I prefer another SSC product called "Ice Age", which is a knock-off of Freeze 24/7, and does about the same thing, only not quite as dramatically. You can put moisturizer over it w/o affecting the performance; plus, the effects are cumulative over time, whereas Insta-tox is meant to be a temporary fix.

Use a small amount and SHAKE the bottle before each use. I've found these both to be the key to success. I got this in a Today's Special Value kit from HSN in April 2006. This was my first time trying Serious Skin care and I was a little leary after reading some reviews about InstATox. But there was free shipping and handling so I figured I wouldn't be out a penny if I didn't like it. I'm very impressed with this product! I have FINE lines around my eyes and on my forehead and enlarged pores around my nose. I used a VERY small amount and it was dry before the 3 minutes were up that it says to sit expressionless. It smoothed out my fine lines and made my enlarged pores practically disappear. I didn't use a moisturizer over it - I tried that and it seemed to make the Instatox go away. I also use a powder foundation so that may have helped with my success. I also found that after the first application I would have liked to have seen a little more results on my forehead (those lines are a little deeper than around my eyes) so I put on another VERY small amount and perfection!!!! It's a little disappointing that I can't seem to make it work if I put a moisturizer on over it. But it's not something I will be using everyday (only when I want to look REALLY good) so I think my skin can survive a day now and then without my moisturizers. Took off one lipstick for this.

I know some don't like this, but I do. I always buy it in a kit, so I figure I pay about $10 for it, which is a fair price for what it does. If you follow the directions it seems to last all day and do what it claims.

Just use a styptic pencil on clean, dry skin. You'll get the same effect! Ultra-drying effect and little white bits of residue all over. Very unattractive. On top of that, daily use of products like these will ultimately cause more damage to you skin and make you look older than your years. Shame on SSC for selling such a bottle of garbage. Please don't buy this stuff, you'll be sorry later on.

OK, they tried again to push this crap with a "new and improved" formula. Liquid Styptic Pencil "Now in a tube!". Well, all I can say is what I said with my original review of A-Tox.....DON'T USE THIS JUNK! PERIOD! If you do, you'll be sorry in the long run!

I can't begin to tell you what garbage this is, and how potentially aging this product can be. If you keep tightening and releasing the skin over and over and over, you will RUIN it's elasticity. You can actually create more premature wrinkles and sagging with products like these. Do NOT use this product, or anything like it....I'm warning you!!!
