I finally found the one and only red lipstick that looks drop dead gorgeous on me. The color is CABARET by prescriptives. I found this color on Friday of last week. Guess what? They are discontinuing this line. Now I am scouring malls looking for this color. I can not find it anywhere. I think $25 for this lipstick is gold.

I have been wearing PX lipstick for over 20+ years. Due to the economy, I just recently switched to DS brands (L'Oreal Colour Riche is my new favorite). I am in the Y/O family and I tend to purchase R/O lipsticks for a brighter look. I notice that I tend to purchase brown/red/brick colors (Nude, Titan, Posh Ginger) and I am trying to change the colors slightly. I just received Champagne as a freebie; it's quite pretty and I purchased Peep. PX lipsticks are long lasting, and I love both the creme and shimmer verisions. The only negative that I can find is price...

i'm not a fan of this lipstick at all. i have it in Bare and Nude. i hate the smell of it. it just smells like bad moisturizer. the packaging is similar to clinique, i like how Lauder didn't even try to make the 2 sister brands look all that different. and it's pretty easy to break these lipsticks. the one thing i did like about the lipsticks were the color payoff and that was about it. i absolutely HATE the texture. the whole time i worked for Prescriptives, i wore lipsticks from other brands even though i had these 2 because of the texture. the texture is a little thick and i find that it will sit in the lines on my lips even if i put lip balm on first. for a lipstick that costs $17.50 i expected more. it's very similar to Maybelline Moisture Extreme lipstick in texture and almost smell. luckily, i didn't buy the 2 tubes that i own. and i would never buy this lipstick. i'll stick to MAC, Urban Decay, and NARS for lipstick.

This review is for the Colorscope Lipstick. First off, I have to say that I hate this lipstick. The colors are lovely but they burn on my lips, wear terribly and have a odd taste. I am a very long time Px user and really all of my makeup is Px but this lipstick is a lemon. I have an older Modernista lipstick that is fantastic. But of course, it's been DC. I hope that Px discontinues this one soon!

The only HE lipsticks I will buy any more - anything else I have right now is either GWP or d/s since Vincent Longo discontinued a couple of my fav shades & I got fed up of buying colors that didn't look right. I'm just not willing to experiment with $25 l/s anymore. Finding l/s with good pigmentation that are the right kind of neutral or red & not too warm or too cool can be really difficult for me & the Px color printing system has really worked well - I'm a Y/O & the shades I've bought in this color group as well as the occasional stray from the R/O or R group are lipsticks I actually wear (otherwise I'm more of a gloss person, partly IMO because finding good l/s colors that don't look weird on me is just tough because I'm so pale yellow toned).
The other thing besides the colors that I like is that most Px l/s have no obnoxious scent or taste (one of the reasons I hate Lancome & L'Oreal l/s) & I've never had an allergic reaction to them (which occasionally happens with l/s for me). Not an every day purchase, but this is where I go if I need a l/s for a special occasion or want to splurge on that new perfect red or nude because I know I'll find something that actually works for me with minimal effort & angst, that I won't regret later and I'll actually use the entire tube of.

I got my lipstick as a gift with purchase. I really like the packaging. Simple, elegant and compact. The color is gorgeous (Rose Mystique 6). One of the best colors I've liked in lipstick.
However; it's really waxy and dries out my lips within a few minutes. It has an off scent that I don't like as well. It doesn't last very long for what you pay for. I was really disappointed as the color is wonderful.
I'll keep using it because I love the color, but won't be buying lipstick from the Prescriptives line.

I purchased a trio of lipsticks that were a special offer for Christmas. I only wore 1 of those colors as the other 2 were too orange and pale. The color I loved was "Impress"--a B/R shade that was the perfect plum color for my skintone. Not too brown, not too pink--juuuuust right. Well, I've been wearing it for almost two years now (they last!) and love the color but I just realized the other day what is giving me chapped lips. The Prescriptives lipstick! I'll be wearing the lipstick and a few hours later notice a flake. Then another. Then that one in the center of your bottom lip where more color collects than the rest of your lip, so it looks uneven and ridiculous. Then that night, when you're removing your makeup and brushing your teeth you notice your lips are so chapped and flaky. That is what happens when I wear it. So, unfortunately because it's gorgeous color, I have to give it up for my more moisturizing lipsticks.

My friend bought the wrong colour of Incredible in Lilac. I couldn't be happier about the mistake. This colour seems to go with many lipglosses. Wearing it alone is nice for daytime. But mostly I put my glosses over the lipstick. Like PX Planetary or Stellar. At the moment Stila Sweet is my favorite with PX Lilac. Can't choose which makes the most beautiful combination. I will not rave about the package, it fits in my tiny bag.
Whenever I look pale in the morning this colour gives me a boost. Definitely one of my favorites.

I love my Px lipstick in Currant. I'm a Y/O but this is a wonderfully versatle B/R shade that looks great by itself or layered with other lipsticks. I can apply a little for a hint of color or more for an intense look. The texture is smooth and moist. And the little metallic cases are chic and virtually indestructible. Absolutely perfect. Five lippies.

I love these lipsticks. I got color matched, and was told I was a B/R. So I always pick colors from that grouping, or the R's, and they always look great w/ my skin tone. They have great staying power, don't cake up, and I love the packaging. I have Mystery (gorgeous plummy color), Emperor, Plum Suede (disc.), Ruby Suede (disc.) and Pomp (disc.). They last forever. I should go get a new one. I heard they have some new colors.

I just got my first Prescriptives Incredible lipstick in Cabaret (a shimmery true wine shade). I love the compact packaging, it really goes to show how much bulk packaging other brands use.
The coverage is medium-full, and the feel is amazing! It feels absolutely weightless. It also has a good stain and lasted really well. The large selection was a plus, too. :) Will definately be looking into getting more of these!

I love the packaging too .It is sam style as cliniques only Cliniques is better in quality b/c theyll last longer. I received one in a swap and I dont really know what shade it is but it was lovely color. However I dont like the texture. It is very slick and greasy and does not stay on long. Very similar slickness as Lancome Rouge Magnetic lipstick has.

I love, love, LOVE the packaging! So small and compact without compromising the size of the lipstick itself. Only the packaging is small, but if you compare it to the size of other taller lippies, it's actually the same (as demonstrated by the P/X lady). I have this in Bauble, Pomp (discontinued), Bubbly (discontinued) and Spice and I adore them all. They glide on smoothly, suit my coloring perfectly, they don't smell icky and they're just fanTAStic :)

I find their lipsticks to be really top notch. I don't know why I don't have more of them. I tend to gravitate towards Bobbi Brown, but not because I think they are superior. I have a red orange shade called "brick" (I think) and it's great. The coverage is perfect, moist feeling and long lasting. Now that I am writing this I think I am going to remember how much I like this brand when I next buy lipstick.

I'd never tried Prescriptives l/s before. I am more of a lip gloss girl. The only lip stick I use on a regular basis is MAC. Well I got a tube of the Mink Prescriptives l/s from a swapper and what a pleasant surprise. It's the same color as the MAC l/s I use but just a little more toned down and I like the texture. I can't wait to try a few more of these colors.

Go through my makeup bag and you'll find mostly lipsticks, some barely used, and some scraped squeaky clean -- the Prescriptives ones. Yes, these are one of the few makeup items that I ACTUALLY use up and keep coming back to. They glide on smooth, have no fragrance, and leave a beautifully natural semi-matte finish. The last lipstick I scraped clean was "Posh", very nice color, however I haven't gotten around to buying more 'coz I'm more into glosses and very sheer lippies now. Oh, for reference other lipsticks I've used/tried are MAC, Clinique, BeneFit (unfortunately caused allergic reaction), Lancome, YSL (ugh, highly scented), and oh, Revlon and L'Oreal (loong ago, those matte dry ones - never again!).

Prescriptives lipsticks are the best! Creamy & not drying, unlike some other, more expensive brands I have tried.
