I used this toner and I have combination oily skin which is very sensitive. It totally dryed my skin out and was not good for long term use.

I have oily, acne prone skin and have recently switched to the Vichy Normaderm skincare range in hopes of getting rid of my acne. I use the cleanser, this toner and the Hydrating Day Care moisturizer. Out of those three products, I love this toner the least.
This toner contains salicylic acid, and also alcohol. It sometimes stings my skin, which is why I don't LOVE it. How ever, I do think it actually works on my skin and my skin feels very clean and soft and even a bit hydrated after using this. I am one of the few people who is not against alcohol in toners, as I have noticed that toners without alcohol do not work on my skin as well as toners with alcohol. My skin gets dryer and flakier with toners without alcohol.
This is also one of the first toners that I have used that actually works a bit like a physical exfoliant for me. I always use my toners with a cotton ball, but for some reason whenever I use this and look at my cotton I see a lot of (grey) dead skin cells that I have exfoliated by just swiping the toner on my face.
I do sometimes think it is a bit on the harsher side for a toner, as it stings on sensitive places (such as the corners of my nose, sides of my eyes). Because it contains salicylic acids and seems to get rid of my dead skin cells, I think it is worth the sometimes stinging though.
I like the toner, but I don't LOVE it, I mainly like it for the salicylic acid and because I am afraid to try something outside of the Vichy Normaderm line for a while I will repurchase at least until my acne is cleared up. I believe very much in toners, I think it is a necessary step and if you want to properly care for your skin you should always CTM (cleanse, tone, moisturize) and obviously wear sunscreen.
I would recommend this to people who don't mind alcohol in their toners, who can handle a little exfoliation through their toners and who have combination to oily or oily skin. It is not a very soft toner, but more a effective toner for oily skin that has hydrating properties (in my opinion).

This stuff is like a miracle cure for blackheads. It completely cleared up my nose, forehead and chin, but it aggravated the rosacea on my cheeks. But in fairness, what possessed me to apply astringent toner to my cheeks? This is fantastic! Probably the best toner I've used to date, as long as I keep it off the rosacea!

Great for acne prone skin. Smells great. I discovered a little trick, after wiping with cotton pad i pat dry my face with a tissue. That way i eliminate the stickiness and products i use after seem to sink in better.

I love to put this product on after I have done some blackhead 'de-clogging'. The slightly stingy feel makes me believe those pores are clamming shut. Its the only time I use this.
I wouldn't risk putting this on my slightly sensitive cheeks though.

This is a great product! I have very oily skin and acne problems in my tzone and this is the best product that i have tried so far. I use this every morning and evening and after just two days i could se a major differnce. And after a week my skin was better than its been for years. The only major con is that it is quite expensive, but its great and the bottle lasts 1-2 months so i would definitley repurchase! :)

Good, practical packing with a small dispensing hole under the flip lid. You can't really spill this product or squeeze out too much on your cotton pad.
It's effective in terms of oil control, keeping pores clear, and reducing their visibility. It has worked well on my combination skin with oily t-zone. It doesn't really dry out the skin but it does leave a slight tightness after applying. The feeling should go away after applying your serum and/or moisturizer.
The product would be perfect if they can improve the scent, or reduce the alcohol smell. Will repurchase this if I cannot something else as effective but with a weaker or better scent!

I have suffered from acne for as long as I can remember. I am 24 years old and have tried so many different products, but as I was only young I wouldn't spend a lot on my skin care... I now know I was wrong.
I have used this for almost a year now, along with the Normaderm Tri-Activ Lotion and other skin care products occasionally.
This works really well for me, I have oily/combination skin and it helps cleanse my face, reduce pores, and clear my skin of acne. Friends and family have commented that my skin is looking really fresh and clear!!
I admit it does seem to "dry" skin out but not in the harsh way I found with the likes of Clearasil. It feels clean and clear of dirt and toxins and thats what I love about it.
I tried this product after having a skin consultation with the Vichy staff member in Boots and they suggested this was the best for me. And although it was pricey I thought I would give it a go.
Furthermore, I bought this in March 2011 and I still haven't had to buy another yet as you really don't need a lot to do the job and I use it twice a day!!

I have mild acne under my chin which cleared up well once I started using this product and I stopped using this for about two weeks after it ran out. I was travelling and didn't have access to a drugstore selling vichy products. My chin started to break out again, but I noticed that it wasn't as drastic as how it used to be. Definitely going back on this skin care regime again! It is not drying to my skin as I have pretty oily skin and there are some nights that I would just apply this on, skipping the moisturizer. I find that it helps control the oil on my face. I don't think I would recommend this if you have dry skin though!

I am completely reliant on this wonder-product for clearer skin. I know this for a fact because I bought this toner once, used it to finish, and then, because my acne-prone teenage skin had cleared up so remarkably, stupidly thought that I could purchase any old toner because I now had beautiful skin. Wrong. My skin went back to it's old wayward ways without this, and now I've had to repurchase my life saving Vichy toner, and wait patiently while it works it's magic and gets rid of all my unwanted facial guests. Never will I stray from this again, I don't make the same mistake twice.

Okay. this is the one and only product that i hate so far from vichy. they have great facial washes and such but thisssss sucked big time for me! maybe it was just me... but this product dried up my skin so badly even when i did use lotion. I ended up getting more breakouts than before and my ache doesnt clear up :\\\\ (instead; it clears up faster when i didnt use it!). I recommend, if you live somewhere cold, I do not recommend using toners/astringents... its really not too good for the skin... maybe in hot weather it's better? oh well regardless, i find this product sucked big time.

I only had a small bottle of this. After using it for a couple of weeks I didn't notice any massive improvements to my skin. It is alcohol based and leaves a bit of a sticky feeling behind which I don't enjoy. For the price it is not good enough for me...

That product is pretty expensive, but lasts long. It was 22 $ at my local drugstore. Since it was Vichy, a very recommended brand, I thought I could give it a try. I didn't really notice an improvement but I kept using it. After some researchs on Internet, I found out that Astrigents and any kind of Toner with alcohol in it was NOT good for acne-prone ppl ! So I immediately stopped using it and you know what ? My skin has improved since then. I was pretty upset because I kinda lost 22 bucks, but I'm happy my acne is better. Even though it's Vichy, it may make your acne worse or keep it the way it is. Everyone is different, but if I were you, I would definietely stop using this toner. Try to discontinue this only a week, and see how your skin looks.
PS: I used to use it with a cotton pad.

I've tried a lot of toners to treat my occasional acne. This one is pretty efficient. You have to be patient though, things don't work right away, usually it takes a few days to clear things up.

This is a fiarly harsh toner - great for oily/acne prone skin. It has BHA in it so very good for cleansing pores. I do think mine look better since using this. Good fragrance too. Every product from Vichy that I've tried has been a winner.

This is a very nice and refreshing toner. It doesn't dry my skin and I love its fragrance. I don't feel it has improved my skin though, my acne/blemishes are the same as ever. This is also a bit pricey, I feel... If this is on offer then I probably will buy it again.

I love this toner, depsite my disastrous run in with the moisturizer from this lin,e this toner was gentle enough to use on my skin which is sensitive and often has redness. No stinging and it cleans deep down. Tightens pores and hydrates for me. Love it.
