I went on a Dermalogica spending spree last year, and I REALLY wish I hadn't. My skin was very dry and red at the time, and I was desperate to find products that would help. I didn't like any of the products I purchased, but I persisted with the Hydrating Booster as it seemed like a waste not to.

I used 3 drops every night under my night cream until the bottle ran out...which took at least 6 months. It sank into my skin well and didn't cause any irritation, but it didn't produce any noticeable plumping effect. It ran out 2 weeks ago and my skin doesn't feel any worse for it.

I think this is only a very light HA formulation and it doesn't do much. I saw my fine lines get worse during the period I was using the product, so I don't think it packs any punch as an anti-ageing skin treatment. It's also very expensive for a product that doesn't do anything.

The bottle is small and handy, but I generally don't like Dermalogica packaging, it looks cheap to me.

The price makes me cringe, and for such a tiny bottle? Geez.. But it does last quite a long time.

I love hyaluronic acid, it's such a magical worker. From having dry dull skin to plump and fresh. A must have if you are dry and/or combination.

I honestly would even recommend this for those with really oily skin, because people with oily skin tend to use harsh and quite stripping products. And even though it feels like your face is clean and that those harsh products help.. they might not be the best for you in the long run.

When I started using this product I had oily skin, it definitely balanced it so now I have combination (still oily t-zone). I've learned that really foamy cleanser and too light creams don't help. You need to get some moisture back into that skin!

Also perfect for those who hate that feeling of thick and heavy creams and use light ones but still want to get that moisture.. just perfect..

In the beginning you might not notice a change, but as soon as I don't use this for a couple of days I can feel my skin craving this product. Doesn't brake me out and is lovely for sensitive skin. To boost the effects use gentle exfoliants, I use Dermalogica Gentle Cream Exfoliant and MD Formulations cleanser and glycare lotion. These together got rid of my dry patches. Doesn't matter what cream I use, if I don't exfoliate my skin doesn't look good no matter what products I use.

I've gone through two bottles of this and have recently ran out. Gosh, I really miss using this product because the new (free) product from another brand gave me rashes and raised bumps on my cheek.

This serum works wonders on my sensitive, dry, flaky skin. Upon the first application, I found my skin plumper, and with regular use, my skin became clearer and of course, more moisturized. My flaky skin (especially on my nose), went down by a lot. I highly recommend this to my fellow dry-sensitive skin people!

I use this in the morning and night, about 5 to 6 drops each time on my face and neck. It's on the pricier side, but it is free of alcohol denat. Many other brands I tried (even those that are paraben free, silicone free etc.) still contains that evil ingredient, which my skin just can't handle. So I'm going back to this, my HG serum.

I've now given it sufficient review time, and its with great relief that I now conclude that this is a satisfactory product. I bought it in winter when nothing would quench my parched skin. I added it to different trials of moisturisers and ended up either with breakouts (Clarins super restorative) or having to reapply at 2 hour intervals (Decleor hydra floral). I ended up shelving it for summer, and its a good thing I didn't toss it cos this baby was made for summer. Its light, fast absorbing and doesnt seem to do anythingelse but hydrate your skin. It works best for me in summer when mixed with a light moisturiser, so I mix a drop of the booster with 3 pumps of LP's Advanced Marine Biology Emulsion. I layer this mix on top of LP Retexturizing booster and I apply sunscreen on top. No breakouts, no midday dryess on my cheeks.

Love Love Love this product and its not often that I give a product 5 lippies. I wear it under my skin smoothing cream and I Love how it hydrates my skin and leaves it plumped and moisturized the whole day. I also use it over my foundation when my foundation makes some parts of my skin flake and this comes to the rescue and removes the flakiness almost immediately. Have tried other serums and I dont think they do the job half as well.

Meah.... One of the products I really wanted to like, because this is my first experience with Dermalogica, plus I am a sucker for super-hydrating serums, and based on product description and some raving reviews I was hoping that it might become my future favorite serum.

I have been using it under my moisturizer in morning and evening for two weeks now and I can say that this product just does not do anything at all, at least for me. Considering that my skin is combination and that it is currently above 30 degrees Celsius, I can't really imagine it having any effect whatsoever on drier skins or during winter.

I like the simple, medical -looking packaging, I like the watery texture that sinks right in and does not leave any film or shine on the skin. That is about it.

Too bad. For the price, it should deliver. I will definitelly not buy it again.

I'm a huge Dermalogica fan and bought this because I wanted to try a liquid moisturiser (rather than a cream) because I believe liquids are better for acne-prone skin. I have to say the product is just ok for me. I haven't seen any incredible benefits or improvements in my skin (even though my skin is in good condition). On the plus side, it hasn't caused any irritations and it moisturises my combination skin quite well. I don't think it would be incredibly moisturisng for someone with dry skin so it isn't as hydrating as its name might suggest. I wouldn't buy it again because it is very expensive and there has to be cheaper alternatives out there that give you similar, if not better, results.

I was unimpressed with this product. It promised miracles for dry skin that needed attention, which mine did in Winter this year. It felt smooth when applied but really did nothing thereafter. Overpriced also.

A very week H.A. product which in reality makes NO difference if you use it or NOT.

Better not since it makes NO difference and cost me money.

Unfortunately I'm one of the unlucky ones. This skin hydrating booster made me break out in tiny little red bumps everywhere that I applied it. I see less bumps if I mix with my moisturizer instead of applying directly to the face, but then it doesn't seem to do much as far as hydration goes which renders this useless to me.

Tip: Ask for a sample of this first. Don't do what I did and buy the tiny $54 bottle right off the bat! You could be one of the few that has a bad reaction to this stuff.

Got a sample of this and it reminded me a bit of Skinceutial's Hudrating B-5 gel. The sample was free - and very tiny - a clear watery gel, and very little is needed. I liked it alot - and it may be less expensive than Skinceuticals so i will check into this further.

This is the first product I tried from Dermalogica and boy, am I not impressed. True to its name, this is a "booster" that serves to enhance other moisturizers, so I use it in place of a hydrating serum. In fact, in that regard, it is the best hydrating product I have ever used. At first I was suspicious if a product this watery could do much at all, but the key is to follow the application instruction: gently pat--not rub--six drops of this into the whole face each morning and night after the toner and before the lotion, and you'll see the lines soothed and the pores smaller. And I've never seen foundation go on smoother. This is also major bang for the buck, as 30ml looks to last me a good five months. In comparison, a serum of the same size won't get past five weeks. Incredible stuff!

I'm oily but that doesn't mean my skin is hydrated! Oily skin can still be dehydratated and this product is the remedy to that problem. It's a drink of water for your skin - put it on alone or add to your moisturizer - a little goes a long way. It instantly hydrates without being oily or sticky. You can put it around your eyes too. It stoped my skin from peeling after a sunburn overnight. You only need a teeny tiny bit so it lasts forever.

I am 30 years old now, and yes, unfortunately it IS true that your skin gets drier the older you get. This past winter I experienced it more than even before. Sure, skin-wise I am and always have been a dry type of girl, but come on! I have been using Dermalogica products for years and swear by them. But suddenly my Intensive Moisture Balance wasn't helping. :O My skin started to look dry as a desert when I woke up in the morning, no life what so ever .. And even when I applied two (!) coats of IMB, I was left dry. I bought Super Rich Repair thinking that would do the trick, but NO. It really didn't work. At last, in desperation, I bought this booster thinking "If this doesn't help, I don't know what to do." And OMG, it helped! It really did! This moisturizes like crazy -- and as I said, my skin is ULTRA DRY! I have even been able to go back to my beloved Intensive Moisture Balance. I apply ten drops of this morning and evening, after cleansing and prior to applying IMB, and my skin is back to normal and I most certainly look alive again! Will definitely keep repurchasing this (and hoping that my skin doesn't get EVEN drier .. :/).

i was really reluctant to try this product because the packaging looked so cheap (i know, i totally judge products by their packaging). however, my skin was freaking out - i have very dry, sensitive skin and nothing i did was working. i was suffering from dry patches, itchy skin, inflamed skin, redness and no matter what i did, no matter how much moisturizer i applied, my skin was constantly dry.

from the moment i applied this serum, all that skin craziness went away. no more flakes, no more redness, no more irritation, no more dry skin. i was AMAZED.

this serum is like water and absorbs really fast so use your finger tips to apply the product right after cleansing. the bottle is like a tear-dropping so you only need a tiny amount to cover your whole face.

this injects such amazing moisture into your skin and combined with my moisturizer, my skin feels hydrated all day and all of my dry patches, itchiness and redness went away.

This booster is expensive. It is one of most expensive products Iīve ever bought.Only my kanebo self-tanner and silk powder peeling were about the same price range. I ordered it in England, where I could buy it cheaper than in Germany. Still, I paid 50 Euros for the booster. It was a risk, because I bought it without testing it (thereīs no Dermalogica-selling store anywhere near by) and only based on the good reviews on makeupalley.
Glad I did it. This oneīs a great product and saved my skin. My skin was severely dehydrated and flaky in a harsh winter period. Always struggeling with dehydrated skin, I had tried many creams, masks and serums to moisturize my skin. This booster delivered, what other products promised, but never kept. And I even tried the hydrating b5 serum from SkinCeuticals, which another reviewer found better than this booster. For me, it wasnīt.
I ordered it together with the multi-active toner from Dermalogica and now I use my Cetaphil cleanser, multi-active toner and then my Avene balancing cream for combination skin with one or two drops of the skin hydrating booster. I never use it directly on my skin as Dermalogica describes the use. At night, again,I use the Cetaphil cleanser, multi-active toner and my avene Ystheal-cream witn one or two drops of the skin hydrating booster. I also use one or two drops in my Avene moisturizing mask to enhance the effects of the mask. Amazing. I changed only a little in my skin regimen with fantastic results. And two drops of this booster are nearly excessive. I usually need only one drop. Yes, it is that effective. I never dreamed, that a tiny drop added to my day or night-cream could transfrom my always dehydrated skin in a normal, glowing and healthy skin. Even my cosmetician commented on my skin: How can your skin be so calm and balanced during such a harsh climate? I told her and she was surprised.
My skin is normally dehydrated, combination, acne-prone and sensitive. With this booster, it is calm, balanced and hydrated. No break-outs, no irritations. I wonīt stop using this, because another reviewer said, that if you stop using this, youīll notice the difference. I totally believe this too, even if I canīt prove it.
Thereīs nothing obviously special about this booster. Nothing fancy about the ingredients, mostly hyualuronic acid. Maybe itīs the combination of ingredients. It looks like water and still works wonders
The price is the only negative point I can find, but the product is so versatile and lasts for a long time. Plus, I donīt need to spend money on looking for a better cream or serum, which was always difficult for me. I donīt like parabens, silikones and eco-cosmetics like Dr. Hauschka irritate my skin. I can use my normal creams and just boost them.
So I guess, I have to get over the price of this product and just cherish the fact, that I finally found my miracle in a bottle.

As an esthetics student, my skin became dry & breakout prone (more than usual) so my instructor took a look at my skin under the Wood's Lamp & found I was extremely dehydrated. I drank a lot of water during school so I was surprised to find this out, however, I was also battling the acne with drying products so go figure. Because we carried Dermalogica at school, she suggested I try this out. I did & liked the result so I purchased a bottle to use at home. While it hydrated my skin nicely, you can find products equally as effective for less. This little bottle is very expensive, mine lasted for a while but still, considering the primary ingredient is hyaluronic acid and can be found in lots of serums these days not to mention at a higher % than what's included in this booster. It's good but not great. Dermalogica isn't cheap so what does one expect? You're going to pay for the brand at the end of the day. Do your homework & find a better alternative.

Years of wearing false eyelashes daily had made my eyelid (along the lash line) super dry and flaky. It was terrible. They were swollen and cracked.. and too sensitive for any moisturizer. It would just sting because the skin is broken. Can you imagine? On eyelids!!! Who gets that?? :(

So anyway, somehow, I stumbled upon this Skin Hydrating Booster. After using it for a couple of times, I really saw the difference. My eyelids actually healed completely. If it can do that for my chapped, screwed up beyond all repair eyelids, think of what it can do for you! :)

My regime:
One drop, rubbed together and pat on eyelids and under eye. Careful not to get any in your eyes, will sting!!
Five drops mixed together with Clarins moisturizer, spread on entire face.

It's a little expensive but really worth it for all the sensitive, dry skinned ladies out there.

Magic water, indeed (as one reviewer said below). I did a load a research through the years in an effort to maintain the upper hand in my 26 year battle with eczema and recently decided to just focus on skin layer anatomy and oil and water retention/production/absorption. (although, if you're nerdy like me and want the chemistry lesson or just battling chronic dry skin and/or eczema, message me. I have some great tips and info.) I'll spare you the long winded details and just say... HG! and i have very little to almost nothing (isn't that the same thing..?) in my skin care products that has HG status. Since adding this my eyelids actually feel like skin again! I almost forgot that skin was so soft. As long as this is used correctly it is indeed, "Magic Water"

We're not allowed to swear on here but if I could I would - this stuff is amazing! I am plagued with sensitive oily but yet rapidly aging skin - I'm OSNW - but most moisturisers break me out terribly, even the oil free formulations. Have been looking for something to replace my beloved Prescriptives Super Flight cream and I know I've found it and some! I've been using this booster for 1 weeks, under my usual oil free Clean and Clear moisturiser. This has transformed my forehead which had been littered with creases, fine lines and just a general look of "old". My forehead is now smooth - I kid you not. I used to have elevenses all over the middle of my forehead and then tram track lines on both sides with lots of crepiness thrown in and this has smoothed it all away - it is nothing short of a miracle! I look tighter too. And the best thing? Not one bump, breakout, lump at all - this is a first for me as usually anthing moisturising enough will break me out terribly - I have sebaceous hyperplasia in this area and it frequently forms lots of white bumps if over moisturised. This stuff is heaven sent - HG status.
