I love the fruity smell of this product. My hair is very fine and it seems like I have to use a lot of the product for it to evenly texturize all of my hair. The cons are that it leaves my hands very very sticky and it weights it down a bit. The best way I have found to use it is to apply to my hair, scrunch and then pull up into a messy knot. Very cute and I get lots of compliments! I just wish I could wear my hair down while using it.

the only redeeming quality about this product is the smell... it smells really good but the hold is really light even though i have the extra strong hold version. its pretty fun to shake it though and the packaging is cute

I tried this a while back, and thought it was just OK. I have fine hair, so I need light products that won't weigh it down. This was definitely light, and worked pretty well. I wasn't wowed by it, but it did the job somewhat. I didn't find it to be sticky, or crunchy, but it didn't add volume and my hair did feel a little bit flyaway. I loved the smell, but not the bottle--the ball shape was hard to hold while pumping. And it was rather small. Like I said, it was OK, but not something I'd repurchase.

I really have little control with the spray bottle. I have fine hair so I find that it really weighs my hair down. Like the other reviewers, I feel that it leaves my hair sticky and untouchable. Sometimes, it leaves my hair in strands. Terrible. Won't repurchase.

Awesome stuff! I use this on my shoulder length, fine, color-treated hair, and it makes my hair look messy (in a good way!), and gives it lots of volume! I just spray some on, then blowdry my hair on low for about 10 minutes, then air dry the rest, and I end up with just the look I was wanting. I guess I should mention that I have naturally wavy hair, so maybe I can't credit all the results to this stuff, but still. Smells good, and isn't really sticky, in my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of the spray bottle, since it's kinda hard to get all of the product out, but would still repurchase. :)

I was really excited about this product and tried to like it. However, it didn't do anything for my hair except make it look sticky and dirty. I will not repurchase.

This wasn't all that bad. When my hair was long and I used it I did get nice curls, now that my hair is short I dont use it. It tends to be sticky though, which I cant stand.

This did nothing for my hair, but I put it in my horse's tail before braiding it up to put waves into it and oh did it make her tail full and wavy! Still won't buy it again, good thing I got it for nearly free.

as much as i like what it did for my hair texture, I did not like the little white flakes it left behind. (promise, they aren't danruff...).

I too have straight hair and thought this product would give me a messy textured look. The messy part was right. It felt like I put crisco in my hair, and it ended up looking like I hadn't washed it for a week. Then I tried brushing it out and that just made my hair flat and grimy feeling. I absolutely hated this stuff.

Not sure why I thought this would work for my hair. Maybe it was because I saw a silly product placement ad on my Proctor & Gamble soap opera and the actress' hair was straight like mine. I thought this might add some body, oh my, was I wrong! All it did was completely weigh my hair down and I looked horrid for a whole day! This might work for other hair types, but if your hair is naturally straight, don't even go there.

Why did I think it would be a good idea to try this? Made my completely healthy undamaged hair feel just as crunchy crispy and hard as it felt when I used to bleach/dye it. Gross. I didnt even use alot. I guess if you have short hair or no one who wants to run their fingers through your hair its ok sparingly, but if you care about how your hair feels when the wind blows and it brushes across your face, steer clear of this junk.

I'm on my third bottle of this since I had my hair cut super-short and spiky. It does a great job of giving my hair texture and direction. I spray it in before i blow dry, then give further texture and hold with Bed Head Manipulator. Smells great, too. The only downside for me is the sprayer sometimes clogs. Not sure how it would perform on longer hair, but for my short style it's perfect.

I think this is okay. It's not a miracle product, but not horrible either. It did give me more texture, but didn't really control my frizz.
Note: I compared this with the ingredients of my curl shaping spray gel and they are identical. I am guessing they just has different concentrations of ingredients because this is slightly thicker.

Normally I would rather die than put a product from Wal-Mart on my hair. I picked this up one day thinking my husband might like it. I am on my second bottle. Gels usually make my straight hair crunchy and gross. After I wash my hair I use some Matrix Vavoom mousse in the roots and then I spray the Garnier gel in my hands and pick up little pieces of the ends of my hair and rub my hands together, sort of twisting the ends. After it dries I brush it out my hair feels thick and soft all day. I wish it had a pump instead of the spray bottle, which tends to clog up.

THIS HOLDS FLY AWAYS!!! If you do use it, it can give your hair crunchy, so don't use alot of it. It can be heavy on different hair types.

This stuff is horrible. The pump can frequently gets clogged after not using it for a while and the gel sprays too far and too fast. It does give me good texture on wet hair, although as soon as my hair dries it either becomes frizzy or crunchy. It does smell amazing though. I wish all products smelled like this!

I love this stuff! I have very think shoulder length hair with some natural curl. Usually I first use some of the Garnier Surf Hair stuff and run it through my damp hair, upside down. Then I spray this gel through my hair and use my hand to scrunch it around. After this, I put is in a big alligator clip and leave it in for a few hours. Once I remove the clip, I have perfect beachy hair, not crunchy at all. Plus the smell of this product is great, just like all Garnier IMHO.
