I bought this due to the raves, first off i bought the one from amazon that comes in the 400ml pump bottle. Its the european one, its ingredients are slightly different than what you can buy from say.. Dermstore

DERMSTORES INGREDIENTS LIST
Aqua/Water, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, PEG-200 Hydrogenated Glyceryl Palmate, Disodium Cocoamphodiacetate, PEG-30 Glyceryl Cocoate, Glycerin, Glycol Distearate, PEG-7 Glyceryl Cocoate, PEG-75 Shea Butter Glycerides, Hexylene Glycol, Disodium EDTA, Citric Acid, Polyquaternium-7, Sodium Chloride, Potassium Sorbate, Sodium Benzoate, Methylparaben, Propylparaben

WHAT MY BOTTLE SAYS

AQUA / WATER, GLYCERIN, DISODIUM COCOAMPHODIACETATE, COCO-BETAINE, PEG-7 GLYCERYL COCOATE, SODIUM CHLORIDE, SODIUM LAURETH SULFATE, GLYCOL DISTEARATE, SODIUM GLYCOLATE, ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, CITRIC ACID, NIACINAMIDE, PEG-55 PROPYLENE GLYCOL OLEATE,
PEG-75 SHEA BUTTER GLYCERIDES, POLYQUATERNIUM-7, PPG-5-CETETH-20, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, SODIUM BENZOATE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE

~As you can see, the ingredients are slightly different, notingly my formulation doesnt have the cleansing agent 2nd, and it contains niacinamide.

I used this as a face wash, and it left my normal/sensitive skin just too dry and red. So for a face wash this is an absolute no, but for the body this is a different story. It foams beautifully onto my salux cloth and gets my skin clean without being too dry or stripped, or coated with some sort of film. It's a very nice body wash for delicate skins like mine but as a face wash i cant use it, congratulations to those who can. It's too expensive to repurchase and use regularly as a body wash, so i'll stick to my shikai body wash for that. I'll finish it up and enjoy it, but i wont repurchase

This is a pretty decent product, mild and soothing. I can't wash my hair with this though, it doesn't seem to make my hair look and feel clean enough.

If you get the 400ml bottle, it's actually not that expensive either.

I also tried the bar soap one, I think it's called Lipikar Surgras Barr or something like that, that's a pretty nice soap to use too, not as rich as this one, but not drying either.

Edit: There's SLES (close relative of SLS) in it, not good. I will give the bar soap 4 stars though.

Love this one! Saved my skin last summer!
I was going through a difficult and stressful period and my skin showed it loud and clear.
I had horrible red bumps all over my face, all over my neck, my shoulders, my back. I had a sample of this and it just instantly calmed my skin. After first use!
I went and bought the full bottle and since then I always have a bottle of this in my bathroom.
It's a little expensive compared Bioderma's Atoderm, 1 litre bottle. But worth every penny!

I have been using this as a hair and body shampoo for my daughter, who has atopic skin and exema, since she was a baby - she is now 6. It washes nicely without drying at all. It makes a good children's shampoo (unlike Lipikar surgras which I find too oily to use on hair). We follow with Lipikar balm. I can safely say these products have become a part of our lives... they work, period.

I was searching for a new face wash months ago, since my Clarins products gave me itchy red bumps around my eyes after washing my face. I bought this without knowing that it is officially sold as a body wash online. The time when I purchased it in store there was a LRP promotion, so I got a 400ml bottle with pump.

Normally, I would refuse to use cleansing gels, because they tend to strip away to much oil from my face leaving it feeling really, really tight. I used to have dry combination skin, but after moving to Singapore I have slightly oily combination skin. My skin is also acne-prone and sensitive.

I am using this product for 2 and half months already and it is excellent for my skin condition. If I wear make-up, I will definitively use a make-up remover before cleansing my face with it, otherwise I will not be able to take off my make-up completely -> acne. I am not using any toner afterwards because of my sensitive skin. Instead of a moisturizer I just put on a papermask soaked with cucumber juice (selfmade). After that my skin is perfectly hydrated and velvet.
In a more dry region, I would definitively put on a moisturizer.

My skin condition got really much better. No whiteheads anymore on my cheeks. No itchy spots around my eyes. No dryness and tightness on my cheeks and under my eyes. Less break-outs on my forehead and chin.

This is the HG cleanser in our house. I was looking for for a facial cleanser for my husband, who has dry, sensitive, allergic, eczema-prone skin. Skincareman recommended this. My husband loves it. It doesn't dry his face or leave him feeling itchy. Instead his skin feels clean and soft. I thought I'd give it a try and I love it, too. My skin is NOT particularly sensitive - I'm more of a combination/oily/aging mix. This stuff is great. It cleans thoroughly and rinses cleanly without stripping my skin. I do pre-cleanse with oil to cut through the worst of the makeup and sunscreen, but this takes the rest of it of with no problems and no residue.

It has kind of a creamy gel texture and it lathers nicely. It's a wonderful facial cleanser and body wash. It's even pretty good to shave with in a pinch. It doesn't have any fragrance that I know of. It doesn't taste really good, but you're not supposed to eat it...It's a little pricey to me but the value is excellent. Since it's sold as a body wash, the tube is huge (if you're just using it for your face).

I recommend this to just about anybody. It's a great product for sensitive skin and it's pretty darned good for "normal" skin, too. Finally - skin care the whole family can use!

I was suffering from crazy itching on my legs and arms. I tried Aveeno body wash, baby soap all kinds of unscented washes and soaps and nothing helped. I picked this up along with the Lipikar Body Balm and after using them I had instant relief! The texture is a silky gel that lathers up really nicely. It rinses away clean and doesn't dry my skin. I highly recommend this to people with dry and or eczema prone skin. My only complaint is about the hard material of the tube, I think it will make it hard to get all the product out when I get to the end, so for that only 4 lippies. I will definitely try this as a face wash based on the other reviews.

I've only been using this for 2 weeks. Skincareman kept recommending it so I thought I'd give it a go. I think its quite nice. Due to my skin becoming sensitive I switched to cream cleansers a while back eventhough I really like foaming cleansers.

I think this isn't too drying, so I did not have to use my cream cleanser anymore. My BF uses this as well as he is very happy with.

So far so good!

After the good reviews for this cleanser as a facial cleanser I wanted to try it badly. I am still searching for that perfect cleanser and hoped to find it in this Posay cleanser. My face is sensitive, acne prone and dermatitis prone, so cleansers for my skin must be very gentle, but have to clean good enough. This cleanser cleanses my skin perfectly, it removes my blusher and mascara and leaves my skin very fresh and not too dry. But after I used it for a few days cysts pop up like crazy, I think my skin reacts very strong to one of the ingredients, maybe the disodium cocoamphodiacetate or the coco-betaine or the sodium laureth sulfate, I've got this reaction from other 'foaming' cleansers too. I finish the product as a body cleanser (where it is made for) and for that purpose it is fine.
Edit feb/2011: As a body cleanser this works very well, so I rate it a 4 for it's actual purpose.

I have used this as a facial wash in almost 6 months. This is really good if you have a trouble skin like mine (dry, itchy, acne prone, easily clogged). Love this!

I have been using this for two weeks now and absolutely love it. I am extremely grateful to skincareman for his posts about it - I agree with him completely. Finding the right cleanser is always a problem for me:
I have very oily, acne-prone skin on my face which is easily dehydrated by many cleansers, especially around my eyes and mouth, yet most mild cleansers result in clogging and acne on my chin. In addition, the skin on my neck is prone to irritation due to allergies and in winter the skin on my back and legs becomes dry and itchy. This is truly a wonder product for me: my skin is moist, yet not clogged, with no irritation or dryness anywhere. I love it as a shampoo, too. Minimalism on my bathroom shelves is a dream which has so far eluded me - perhaps this is the turning point! Decanted into a smaller container, it will be a fantastic all-in-one travel product!

I totally agree with skincareman below (I tried this product on his recommendation). LRP Lipikar Syndet Cleansing Cream-Gel even replaced my former HG Sebamed Liquid Face & Body Wash which I have been using for nearly 25 years.
It makes a fantastic, effective yet very gentle face & body cleanser. I even used this as a shaving cream when I ran out of my Gillette shaving cream. And it does remove makeup quickly and gently too (I don't wear much/waterproof makeup though).
Considering I have dry, hypersensitive, eczema-prone skin as well as Rosacea many products are either irritating or drying to me. Not this product. I can even use this twice a day and it leaves my skin supple, smooth and healthy. My son who has the same difficult skin loves it too. Truly amazing! No fragrance, extremely comfortable texture, cheap and great packaging. It comes in a tube (200ml) as well in a large pump bottle (400ml).
Definately worth trying if you have dry, sensitive and/or eczema-prone skin! Highly recommended!

Not just a fantastic body wash but also a fantastic facial cleanser and shampoo! I've been using this as a body wash for 8 months now and it has really helped my slightly dry (often itchy) skin.

About 6 months ago I was travelling and forgot my facial cleanser but had this. I looked closer at the ingredients and realised that there was nothing in there that was likely to hurt my face so figured I'd give it a try. I am SO glad I did! This cleanses very well but doesn't strip my skin at all. It removes water-resistant sunscreen very easily with a double-cleanse and leaves my face feeling perfect. It has a cream-gel texture and foams up when water is added. I even use this to shampoo my hair and my hair loves it too! It's fragrance free and despite what a review below says, is a liquid cleanser, not a bar.

Definitely a Holy Grail product for me!

Not a bad bar soap. Nothing special either. Rather drying but cleanses well. Also, a bit pricey. I'd recommend Honey, I washed the Kids or Angels on Bare Skin by Lush as cleansers. They're amazing!

This is my favorite cleanser. It is non-irritating and really gets stuff off?
Question is... where do I get it in the US? I bought this in Europe and want to try their other products, too.

This is a very good gentle but thorough cleanser. It lathers well and rinses off easily. It does smell like carrots but it feels great and is very easy to use. I recommend it for ALL skintypes.
