Disappointed. I waited a long time for a Nyx sale, had a bunch of products in mind after extensive swatching. I'm sort of looking for a replacement for my Revlon Colorstay Mineral Eyeshadow, which I actually liked. Something beigey, brown and smokey pinks. I returned two, this one I kept, but I will have to see how it holds up after a few trials.
Update: I am liking this more and more. A subtle pink but gives an overall nice look. Compliments my tone well.

I think this is my favorite eye shadow. It is neutral, being that the base is brown. But it has a hint of pink, as well as lots of gold in it. On my olive skin tone and dark hazel eyes, it really shows up as beautiful. I can dress it up or down, depending on how much I put on and what other colors I use with it. Really a winner!!

I love this eyeshadow, I haven't seen any like it! It's like a beige shade with lilac undertones and gold shimmer! It is amazing, really nice for every day! It's very smooth in texture and very pigmented too! I would recommend this to anyone because it's really affordable too :) Love!!!

A dirty pink with gold shimmer and a silky smooth texture. Looks great as a very light wash across the lid.
The gold shimmer on top of the pink just looks fabulous! This is one of my favorite eyeshadow. An absolute must for green eyes!
UPDATE: This is my second pot of flamingo. This product has been reformulated since my last purchase. The first batch I purchased was when NYX was first launched in Canada and the eye shadow was made in USA. The second batch I purchase was made in China ( p.r.o.c. ) and its definitely not the same! The new batch is more lavender than dirty pink, it has way less gold shimmer and the texture is super gritty compared to the old batch. I am super disappointed, because it was truly one of these eye shadows I wear all the time. I will ONLY repurchase IF I find a batch that is made in USA or S.Korea!

I thought this would be a perfect, everyday, nude eyeshadow to do a natural look, and unfortunately things did not work out that way.
It doesn't show up that well on me, but I should mention that I am NC42, so it may be that the color is too close to my skintone. So anyone within that range may also find it doesn't show up on them.
The thing that bothered me about this is that I was under the impression that this had a sort of gold undertone to it - but this had a grayish undertone to it and made me look really tired. 95% of the time, my goal in applying makeup is to look more bright-eyed and awake since I naturally have dark undereye circles - so I don't like spending my time covering them up with concealer only to have my eyes end up looking dark/tired anyways! If this is a concern of yours, consider yourself warned. However, anyone with a lighter skintone may find this useful in creating a subtle smokey eye.

This eyeshadow did nothing for me. It was almost completely unpigmented with a hint of shimmer on. Nc30, 210 for reference. Oh well, toss.

I expected too much of this eyeshadow, i thought it wpould be a unique pink/mauve/beige and it turn out to be a normal frosty pink. the texture is very chalky

To me this color is a very light beige with cool taupey undertones. I don't really see any hint of pink to this. Maybe in the pan but not on the skin. On me, this hardly shows up whatsoever. I am very fair skinned. I don't like this color, at all, it does nothing for me. I will probably chop it up and mix it with other colors.

Love this eyeshadow! I have been infatuated with duochromes for a long time, but this one is so gorgeous and complex. It's hard to describe it - I would say it's a rose-gold duochrome with hints of purple and taupe. Normally purple and taupe look horrid on my fair cool toned skin but because of the pinkish undertone this one works. I use it as a crease color and it matches well with a variety of other colors (pinks, oranges, golds, neutrals, etc). The only complaint I have is that I wish it were slightly more pigmented, because while it does show up on me I have to pack it on to get it to show up well in the crease. The closest color I have to this in my collection is Stila Shell, which is pretty similar except it is a bit lighter and has gold sparkles instead of gold shimmer. Maybelline CS lipstick in Pink Quartz would be the lipstick equivalent to this color. I have it and planning on wearing them together alot this summer. Love Flamingo and would def. repurchase.

OMG!!! I LOVE this eyeshadow!! It's such a great color to have in your neutral/daytime collection! I'm fairly pale so this definitely shows up on me, but I think it would work just as well on darker skin tones. If you're looking for a traditional pink eyeshadow then I could see how you'd be disappointed, however this is just so gorgeous I don't see how anyone could complain! Pretty much this color just gives an awesome wash of a sheer pink over the lids with a spectacular gold-ish sheen. It's definitely one of my staple products, it's a terrific all over the lid neutral everyday color, while being more interesting and flattering than say a traditional champagne or taupe color. Also it's actually softer and easier to apply than some of my MAC eyeshadows!! I can't say enough about this product and I highly recommend it!

The reviews on this are so wildly different from one another that I half wonder if there are two different versions of this shadow. I am very fair skinned, and this shadow just barely showed up, even with my eyeshadow primer. It really just looks a light pearly sheen. It applies very well: smooth, even and doesn't crease at all. Great quality for the price. I was looking for a more vibrant golden pink, but I will hang on to this for days when I want my makeup to be more subtle, and keep looking for the right shade.

This is a very pretty medium rosy pink with some fine gold glitter. My favorite way to use this shadow is as subtle crease color on natural makeup days. I've seen this compared to Milani's Illusion, and though they are similar, I don't think they are dupes. Illusion applies more golden than pink on me...it's best used as a lid or highlighting color, IMO. This applies darker and more of the rosy pink is apparent upon application. I actually prefer this one to Illusion. I'd repurchase this shadow if I ever used it up, but I don't actually have that many "natural makeup" days :)

This is a GORGEOUS color --it's hard to describe, but it's somewhere between a taupe, a gold and a pink. It looks like a very nude taupe-pink straight on, but in the light it actually has a noticeable gold sheen. It's great for nude/natural looks and I wear it every day for work. It has just enough color and shimmer to look pretty but not enough to be super dramatic, which was exactly what I was hoping for. It's also one of the creamier colors, so it goes on like a dream. I'm so glad I found this shade!

What do you wear this shade with? Need your help...I have tried dark shades like: Grey, Gunmetal, Sensual, Dark Brown and Root beer. I didn't like the look of any of the dark shades. Flamingo looks like a dark pink, almost frosty raspberry on me and it is is way too cool for my skin tone. If anyone can suggest an NYX shade for me to wear this with, I would be grateful! Otherwise, I have wasted more money, since I ordered this shadow site unseen.

It's interesting reading most of the reviews commenting this shadow is pinkish in tone as this is nowhere near pink for me, it's more of a brownish mauve with hint of golden sheen underneath. I was disappointed with the colour when i just received it in mail as it's not my expected shade (i ordered online) but after trying, it shows much potential. This is such a great colour to pair with numerous shades - brown/bronze/pink, just to name a few. I will repurchase if i run out of this as this is such a staple.

This is such a pretty lid color! My favorite combination with this color is brown in the crease, geisha as a highligther, and hawaiian coffee in the outer v and as an eyeliner. such a beautiful, everyday look. I love the duochrome of this mauvey pink...its the only pink eyeshadow I can pull off with my cool fair skin tone. I accidently purchased 3 of these when I ordered off of cherry culture, but I think I'll be able to use them all up since its such a great everyday lid color. Very pleased with this unique and beautiful color.

A cute, light pink. Good pigmentation, but mine broke and now it's a powder and very messy.

This is a close match to my actual lid color, and I've found it to be an excellent basis for either a natural or a classic pinup style look. Don't let the name fool you, because this is not bright. It's a subtle pink with a very faint gold shimmer. For something that looks just a little glammed up but not overpowering, I like to combine it with Golden Dune in the crease, Smokie Mountain (very blended) in the outer V, and Geisha on the browbone. If I only have time to do a wash of one shadow, it's nearly always Flamingo. Even though it's not an exciting color on its own, I gave it a 5 because 95% of the time I use it.

Love the packaging and the price. The color payoff is quite good, this color goes great by its self or as a highlighter on your skin (even a blush!) no complaints

I loved this color in the store so I brought it home with much excitement to try it. The first time I used flamingo, I wasn't impressed at all. But I have since found numerous ways to make this shadow work it to its full potential...and I LOVE it! I pretty much use it for something or other every day now, and the latest combo I've found is the prettiest one so far. It gives my eyes the most ethereal glow...not at all over-the-top, but also not a non-existent look either. I discovered this look because I was super pressed for time. So I apply UDPP in Sin all over lid, creampuff e/s from the Flirt line under browbone, flamingo in crease and blend blend blend. A little bit of blackbrown eyeliner and my eyes look beautiful! Oh and of course my handy dandy shisheido curler and ysl mascara! But this look is now my go-to and I get compliments all the time. It's brought out a gold hue to my eyes that I've never seen before. Will def repurchase if I ever run out. I am now NYX obsessed!!
