Lovely, sparkling red from Laura Mercier. Great, warm yet true color on my lips, and fantastic for a more formal sheer that wears beautifully. Looks great with my NC35, golden-toned skin color.

Loved it instantly when I tried it on in the store - a lovely creamy medium wear-it-any-time-of-day pinky-red that really brightens up my face. When I tried the fresh tube at home, I hated it, just hated it because there was this weird metallic greenish shimmer, it looked very odd and unflattering. I looked closely at the bullet and sure enough there is green shimmer! I did not see this odd finish when I tried it on at the counter, so I decided to swipe the tip multiple times over the back of my hand, thinking perhaps the shimmer was just on the outside of the bullet and if I wore down the tip a little the shimmer would disappear. Sure enough, problem solved - now the lipstick reads on my lips the same as it originally read in the store with very little, if any, shimmer, and I like it a lot.

I haven't purchased any LM lipsticks in a while so I do like the new packaging. The lipstick cap has a snap so you know it's in place and won't come undone in some unfortunate purse event. The color Marquise is great, it reminds me of Mac "O" except without the drying non wearable aspect. The color has a lot of dimension to it. It's a very wearable deep berry/red/brown color.

Love this lipstick. It goes on sheer brown-berry - the perfect complement to my fair-medium, yellow-toned skin. I've recently discovered that it looks beautiful - though much more lipstick-y and dramatic - layered over a plum-colored lip pencil. I have a feeling I'll be buying this for many years to come.

i am a tea drinker and my teeth are perpetually "ecru" between dentist visits. Marquise is one of the few reds that doesn't make my teeth look like Austin Powers. Very sexy, very classic. I love what technology is doing to lipstick, marquise's color is so complex- the shine, the undertones...just a classic red.

This is a gorgeous, gorgeous lipstick! It is a deep red, having a bit of a brown base so that it's not a real bright red, but a gorgeous deep red. There is the teeeeeniest green shimmer in it. Green adds depth and dimension to a lip product when done in small amounts. It's perfect for this lipstick because it gives a fullness and shine to the lipstick. You wouldn't know that was there unless you engage in the study of lipstick...it just adds extra shine. One of the best neutral type reds out there. A truly fabulous find.

Marquise is the ideal lip color for me. I am pale with a kind of ruddy complexion and it's hard for me to find reds that don't wash me out or make my teeth look yellow. It's one of the few lipsticks I find i can wear in winter and summer. It's gorgeous. I even pull it off with just concealer and mascara.

This is a gorgeous lip colour that looks much darker in the tube than it does on. At first glance, it looks to be a deep raisin-red combination. When applied, it shows up as a sheer berry flush of colour - very natural. This is one of those colours that just goes with all kinds of faces, from flushed winter to fresh spring. To tone it down more, I sometimes add a touch of gold gloss, but if I wish to wear it darker, I'll leave it as it is or add some chocolate liner underneath. No matter how it's worn, the colour is just wonderful.

Marquise is a red color with a subtle hint of brown. It is more on the cool side but a very wearable red that would look good on many skintones. It is slightly warmer than prestige spark. I don't think I will buy this( I got a mini tube as a gwp) I hardly wear reds that much and I already have prestige spark, chanel force, club monaco stain etc.

This lip color from Laura Mercier is very unique but one of my favorites. I use it alot as a top coat for other colors that need a little splash of excitement. In the tube it looks earthy colored but it goes on really sheer and adds sort of a goldish, pinkish, coral gloss to whatever I am wearing. I love this color and I love the sheer feel and it wears well as a bonus. This is one of those colors that probably would look different on everybody but would still be flattering to most if not all skintones.

Can't get enough of this lipstick. Every time I ask myself 'which one will I wear today (of many)' and can't decide, I go for this color. My skin is light with lots of red/blue undertones, blue eyes and dk blond hair. By looking at the color, you'd think it was an earth tone but it seems to be one of those colors that has a little of everything: berry, earthy orange/brown, goldy shimmer. A more intense version of Courtisane sheer for girls who need color. Definitely one of my favs but thumbs down on bland packaging and old lipstick smell.
