The classic red. Less dramatic than Malaga Wine (my other crimson-ish favorite by OPI) this is what I choose when I can't quit the reds but want to go a little lighter. It's a crisp creme with a slight orange hint which is great during summer months with flirty sundresses. If you are into the classic look, you can't go wrong with this red. (Especially if you are pale, don't be afraid to try this. It will give your complexion a great eye-popping finish.)

this is a very gorgeous red. i painted this on my nails and it didn't chip until about a week! i love opi nail polishes. its the only nail polish i buy.

OPI Red is a basic Scarlett red. This one looks like a creme formula. But if you look carefully, you may discover some really fine silvery shimmer which makes this color look alive. It's really pretty.
I apply two coats and I'm surprised with the opacity. It covers every bit of the nails. It dries fairly quickly even though it's an old formula. It's a gorgeous red and if you like basic simple red, this is the one to choose from.

When I was working in a nail salon this was one of the most popular colours. I finally got around to buying some for myself and i love it. After using OPI I won't go back, great colours and i love how long it lasts. This is the perfect red!

This color is the most delightful pinky red. In the bottle is appears that there is an almost imperceptible amount of shimmer, but on the toes (that I just painted) it's just bright and happy looking. A truly gorgeous red. Believe it or not I found it at a Kroger while we were grocery shopping! I love this color so much, and I am very glad I've added it to my collection. It is one of my favorites for my toes, and I use it a lot!

I've been an OPI girl since the early 90's & I can tell you that OPI is by far the best polish out there for quality, color, collections & price. I feel that OPI is not expensive considering that it lasts longer than any polish w/ out chipping & has been 3 free since 2006. I've tried all the polish brands from the inexpensive drugstore polishes to the salon brands & OPI has been hands down the brand that I always go back to. All I wear now is OPI as OPI never disappoints & the shades are so rich & elegant. OPI red is one of my 5 polishes that I rotate yearly & wear on a constant basis. Red is my favorite color & I'm so uber particular about the shade because I'm not a loud, brash, in your face red kind of gal, but yet I want to wear my favorite color! I like a sexy, sophisticated, elegant red that says, "I'm a confident, stong, smart & sexy woman" & that's exactly how I feel when I wear this one! I feel that way when I wear this red & this red is the only red shade by OPI that I've found can do that! I've searched for that perfect red for years & I can't thank OPI enough for this one! I wear this shade all year long & I haven't had any chipping problems, but I do apply typically 2 coats, sometimes 3, depending on time. This is a true red to me & I'm a red stickler about my reds, since it's my favorite color! Any polish that makes it into OPI's coveted Classic Collection is always a winner & a must for any OPI polish collector! :)

I found this colour at Winners for about $5 CND. It is the best colour red polish that I own! I change my nail polish colour about once a week, however, every few weeks I end up back at OPI Red. I really like it, it's super easy to apply and has good staying power with use of a top coat. Will definitely repurchase.

Although this is a beautiful color I am disappointed in how it chips. I had read other reviews of how it chipped and thought they must be doing something wrong..Nope..I always use a base coat, 2 coats of polish, and a top coat. AND, it chips within a day or two of polishing..
The color is gorgeous but I won't repurchase. I may try dutch tulips and see if it lasts longer.

I got this on sale for around $4 with tax included, which is a great price for OPI nailpolishes. This color is a true red and while other reviewers here have suggested that it has a pink or coral hue to it, I really don't see that. This color is very similar to Wet n Wild's nail polish "Red Red", which is a gorgeous color. However my problem with the Wet n Wild polish is that it chips like crazy and rarely lasts over a day. I expected this OPI nailpolish to last at least a week. I used a silver one before and it lasted 13 days without ANY chipping which I thought was simply amazing. While I didn't expect the 13 day miracle again, I thought it could last 7 days without a problem. Well one of my fingernails chipped after about a day and a half and a few began chipping on day 3. Not so good for an OPI nailpolish. I even wore a top coat with it.

Edit: I have been using a different top coat by OPI with this and finally it lasts about a week! It doesn't chip off like crazy, it only comes off at the tips of my fingernails. This is truly an amazing shade of red. Very attention grabbing yet classy! Love it! My favorite red nail polish!

This is hands down one of my favorite nail polishes of all time. The shade of red is incredible and totally wearable in any season. I always wear OPI red when I need cheer myself up or feel special. I will say that it's more prone to smudging and chipping than other polishes I have, but since OPI generally seems to be very good quality I think my particular bottle might just have been sitting on the shelf for too long before I bought it.

I've lost count of the number of red nail polishes that I have, but this is one of my faces. If you're looking for a classic red polish, neither blue or orange based, then this is the perfect choice. Quality is just as good as the colour, as I can get a week of wear from this with no chipping.

Such a must have color for anyone who likes red. It reminds me of my Grandma, she always had her nails painted that perfect red color :-) If that is what you are looking for then this is for you!

OPI nail polish are of superior standard i feel, the brush is really good which allows application to be much easier, also their colours always last really long (with a top coat!) (:

OPI Red is the one and only classic red. It's not blue, or orange, it's just plain ole red. I have been using this color for over twenty years and it's still one of my favorites. I use this on my toes in the summer and OPI Kennebunkport Red on my toes in the winter. I will purchase this product again...

One of my all-time OPI favorites! The perfect red - with pink undertones, no orange so it looks good on us fair-skinned gals! I think this color would compliment most skin tones though. It's a bright, classic red, and not too dark. Fantastic for summer!!
