I have 3 out of the 5 colors of Loose Pearls. I call this my Mermaid eyeshadow. It's a soft white but then you see a flash of green from different angles - really fun! Each color has different things in its favor. In every case where Loose Pearls has a match for a MAC pigment color, I like Loose Pearls better. It's more finely milled, it comes in that useful sifter jar. . .

I have all 5 of the loose pearl shadows and really like them. Opal pearl is a true opal with all the flashing luminiscent colors. It looks like a pale ecru with shimmer but this flashes shades of green and blue. Cooler toned than it looks in the pot. Reminds me of MAC frozen white pigment. Retails for $20 for a small pot with sifter. LM.com states this is "Formulated with Mica to provide a soft and smooth application, each color is highly pigmented and varies in appearance to give a multitone effect. Use Loose Pearls several ways, as a point of highlight at the brow or on the middle eyelid or mix with your favorite lip gloss. Remove a small amount with the Crew Cut Brush and lightly press on." This is very pigmented. Nice product.

Have you ever wanted to wear opals on your eyes? This eyeshadow makes it looks like that is the case. It is minty green but it reflects other colors like lilac and has many different dimensions. It is so pretty.
