This is one of my favorite eyeshadows & I've tried a LOT of them. I think the color is a lot like MAC dark soul, but this has almost a silvery sheen to it. I've used both MAC & this & I like Loose Pearls better. It's finer than MAC, there's none of that grittiness & you don't have to use mixing medium to get more intensity. I definitely prefer this. Plus it comes in a jar with a sifter, very handy.

I have all 5 of the loose pearl shadows and really like them. Sapphire Pearl is a birght shimmery blue with this iridiscence to it in the pot. However on, it just looks like a dark blue. Retails for $20 for a small pot with sifter. LM.com states this is "Formulated with Mica to provide a soft and smooth application, each color is highly pigmented and varies in appearance to give a multitone effect. Use Loose Pearls several ways, as a point of highlight at the brow or on the middle eyelid or mix with your favorite lip gloss. Remove a small amount with the Crew Cut Brush and lightly press on." This is very pigmented. Nice product.

Great color, but this spills out of the container no matter how tight you close it. This product will last you forever though. Good pigment.

Sapphire pearls is a navy/ blue loose eyeshadow with hints of blue color reflecting in the loose eyeshadow. I have deep set eyes and this is just too dark for me.
